Im 21 and for the last 2yrs or so like a few days before i get my period my vagina starts itching very badly, it really bothers me and it gets me frustrated. i dnt have any desease, i goot teested thinking it cudv been that. I thought maybe iit cudv been like yiest infection aand ive tried using vagisil n it still keeps happening. Can somebody please tell me whatit is? and how can stop that?
I have been getting a yeast infection every month right before my period comes. This month i went to the doctor because i noticed i was having discharge and it had a bad odor. The doctor said i had BV and gave me Metronidazole, i should take it for seven days twice a day. While i was taking the pill, a yeast infection came. Then i got my period and it started to clear up. Go to the gynecologist. Did they do any testing before prescribing you the meds? I had a very severe yeast infection after my honeymoon and just went to an urgent care and it took forever to clear up. My obgyn told me later I should have come in and they would have tested me first to make sure that's even what it was and could tell how severe it was. He told me I should always go to an obgyn first because a general practitioner is just assuming that's what it is.
I purchased a probiotic but didnt take it till after the 3rd day of medication and the damage was done already. I got a yeast infection and I have had one before due to antibiotics so I knew what it was. On Saturday the doctor prescribed me biaxin, a different antibiotic, and one dose of fluconazole 150mg. I am still taking the antibiotic for another week.

Ok so here is the run down. My hubby and i decided last month we were ready to start working on child number 3. We missed my ovulation dates and i got my period. Things have been stressful with otherfamily mmember and we stopped paying attention to dates. We made love a day or two before my ovulation days. I know sperm stays alive for up to 5 days inside a women. So technically it was there on my ovulation days.

I am 22 and have a yeast infection around my vagina which has spread a bit upwards towards the clitoris. i used an OTC cream which didn't cure it all through. I cannot see a doctor due to some problems. Could you please help me as i am married and it becomes a bit embarrassing. Please help. From personal experience yeast infection is not the cause.
It could be from the fluctuation of your hormones or from wearing pads or tampons during your period and that area not getting enough air or a combination of both. I have gotten yeast infections in the past right after my period as well. The package insert included in yeast infection medication says if this is your first time experiencing these symptoms to go see a doctor so that is probably the best thing to do just to make sure it is nothing serious and that is treated properly.
t think that you can really predict when you are going to get your period or not. You could have a yeast infection with the white discharge, does it itch? or clumpy? If not you could just be going through a vaginal phase where you fluids change and yes you might get your period, or its just your vagina cycling itself(phase) If you have not had a yeast infection before, its best to go to the doctor to see if that is really what is going on.

I had brown discharge for 5 days before my last period...I had a normal period. It came when it was souppose to and lasted the usual length. The brown discharge was kinda heavy and very dark. I was told I may have genital herpes.
