One other suggestion from some of the books I read when Augie was a baby was along the lines of the Zantac. It is to take regular Maalox and let it stand (so it settles), and then to take a cotton ball and dip it in only the liquid at the top of the bottle, and to dab that liquid on. Something about the anti-acidic nature of the antacid. Seemed to work pretty well the few times I tried it.

I did not know you can have a yeast infection to your mouth and upper airway that may be my problem. What Meds do you take for this?

Because of this, I told the doctor I was having a possible reaction and he switched me to generic Zantac 150mg 2x per day - that was WORSE. My head was so tight, my anxiety heightened and I got a massive yeast infection after 4 days. So I went back on the generic prilosec.

I am waiting for a test result to see if I have Hpylori, I am allergic to the antibiotics suggested but okay with amoxicillin, can it be cured with this anti biotic (alone) and zantac as I'm also a rare person and allergic to ppi's?!? What are my options? I'm so tired of this pain and very worried!

I was given a 2 week course of Zantac to be taken morning and evening for two weeks. Immediately after taking them, I felt good and a lot of the troubles I have been having with my mouth(white spots on tongue, sore throat) disappeared. Then, on the fourth day, it all returned with a vengeance. Sore throat, dry cough, white coated tongue, and since then has only gotten worse. I stopped the Zantac after about 12 days and on that day my neck started to ache like crazy.

I had switched to a birth control called the nuvaring which i dont recommend by the way, and all of the sudden i start feeling nauseaous after eating, so i finally get back on Yaz, I still feel nauseaous after eating and now i have a discharge that looks like a yeast infection but i have no other symptoms of a yeast infection. The doctor thought you had a bacterial infection and prescribed cephalexin for you. If you do have an infection of the throat and tonsil, you must continue the whole dose (7-10days) of the antibiotic. He should have done a throat culture to make sure it was not viral, and to make sure you were given the correct antibiotic if it is bacterial. Never take antibiotics if it is viral.

Then I end up getting a UTI which I thought it clear up bc I took the meds but turns out I have it again. Now I have really bad allergies to were I have a sinus infection and on top of that I have a yeast infection.

s safe to take for a yeast infection/other infections throughout your pregnancy. I had a yeast infection a couple times while pregnant, and I took the cream from the pharmacy that was prescribed. It's best, IMO, to get it properly diagnosed as it could be a different vaginal infection (unless you're positive it's yeast) and get it treated. At the very least, your doctor can advise you on what brand/type to take OTC.

Yeahi went for the past 3 months and I asked the same question but i never really get a clear answer....would men have the same symptoms as woman when they have yeast infections?

Pylori, I want to fix that problem, but am worried that the respiratory involvement and chest pain/tightness might turn into something serious. Zantac has fewer symptoms, and the chest pain is less severe. Will it be effective if I take that with the abx, instead of the PPI? Doctors all look at me like I am crazy when I give them the list of symptoms I have on these "safe" meds. What are your thoughts??

This really helped with the chest pain, and improved my breathing (that inhalers could not); However, my sinuses are still blocked enough; I read your note about yeast infection and have a theory that there is something there too ; I also happen to have number of Vaginal and oral yeast infections as well as BV recently and when I blocked my sinuses; I will post my progress after I discuss further with an ENT specialist in next week or so;

A few months later, my wife complains of a yeast infection. She goes to the doctor and they give her tests for yeast infections. They also give her a prescription for terconazole vaginal cream. She uses it and starts to feel better. All her symptoms (basically just irritation) go away. She calls the doctor and they tell her that the tests for yeast came back negative. Im guessing its a yeast infection. The antibiotics they put you on for BV can cause yeast infections. I have had BV three times so far with this pregnancy. I up my yogurt intake dramatically when Im on the antibiotics and luckily haven't had a yeast infection.

I am on currently on antihistamines and zantac and I got a steriod shot a month ago and took prednisone for 6 days all prescribed by an allergist. It is better than it was in the begining but anything I touch (desk, purse strap, clothes) causes me to get welts and then it breaks out into itchy bumps. Benadryl doesn't seem to help but I do sleep well when I take it. Someone mentioned H pylori so I'm wondering if I should see my GP. Thanks for the advice.

I got diagnosed with a yeast infection yesterday. Didn't get a chance to get the medicine picked up from the pharmacy until today. Tonight I had some pink blood when I wipe. Could that be a side effect of the yeast infection? I'm 14 weeks with my 4th and have never had spotting with other pregnancies. Doctor is closed tomorrow so can't call to ask.
