Also I do smoke but am currently trying to give up. Since starting Yasmin, the smell of smoke and smoking itself has become nauseating. Thats also another one to add. Nausea and hot flashes. Also I've lost some of my sense of taste. Everything is very bland or dosn't taste of anything at all. Has anyone else experienced symptoms like these?

Ive been on alesse, yasmin, and now nuvaring. Though I love how easy nuvaring is, I think it is to blame for my nausea. I can never remember to take the pill so its out. Condoms are a no go, as are diaphragms. No shots or IUDs. Is there anything left? If I have to I can stick it out for the next 7 months as Im not as sick as I was when I was on Yasmin. Id just rather something that doesn't make me sick.

Reading all of the posts on another part of this forum elated to yasmin and yaz is very scary. My life has been seriously affected by taking yasmin for four years. If I only knew back then what I know now. Please consider the long term effects of taking any birth control pill, not just yasmin or yaz. They primarily work by putting your ovaries to sleep. The pill shuts down your own natural production of hormones and replaces them with lab manufactured hormones.

It can cause nausea and vaginal inflammation and discharge.In some cases it has been associated with vaginitis and genital infections like candidiasis. However nausea after eating can be due to gall bladder disease or acid reflux also.Gall bladder disease is quite common in females and it typically produces nausea and abdominal pain esp after eating. Eat small nutritious meals at frequent intervals instead of a heavy single meal.

I take Yasmin and it took my body a good 4 months to get used to it and now I think I'm having to go through it again because I had to miss a full week before starting a new pack. For some reason I think with that birth control it just takes a long time to get regulated (at least for me) but once you do it is great. I can tell you just about the hour I'm going to start my period.

But I thought I would ask, is anyone that has PCOS symptoms (high testosterone, insulin resistance) and on BCP on any other BCP besides Yasmin, and does it control PCOS symptoms? Have you seen any side effects?

I was still worried so i took 2 Yasmin combination pill on day 5 and 2 Yasmin pills on day 6. I did not take the pill after that. Ever since I have had heart burn and stomach ache. Today, day 13 of my cycle, i am bleeding, infact heavier than day 1 of my periods. The discharge is fresh bright red with mucous. I have never had mid cycle bleeding before. . Does anyone know what this might be?? Its not pregnancy or implantation bleeding, is it?? considering i am only day 13 of my cycle today......

But, because my organism is disposed to endometriosis and I am a rare case in this illness (if I may call it that way), eventhough I was taking Yasmin the chocolate cysts on my left ovary started to grow rapidly and Yasmin was no longer usefull for me, so six months ago I had to do a punction and I started with Zoladex treatment (this injections make you go into the condition of early menopause). I took five injections till now and I have one more and my treatment will finish.

A week after my withdraw bleed my breasts were still sore and I got really bad nausea and dizziness just at night when I laid down. That turned into diarrhea for two days. Now, my breasts are sore all over and my nipples are tender to touch. Every now and then I get a pinching sensation in my breasts near my nipples. The nausea has been gone for about two days, and the dizziness hasn't been too bad. Could this be pregnancy or is something wrong?

I took Flucanozole as i thought its yeast infection. Also experiencing mild heaviness and pain in breast, extremely hot hands and feet since this morning and mild cramps.....cramps been there since the start on BC. I am so confused, as some day one shud wait a month before unprotected sex on pill. Does any of the above sounds like pregnancy???? I hope NOT. Any comments welcome, thanks.

I am almost ready to go to the doctor for my depression and anxiety. Then, I started researching my pill (Yaz) and have found that these symptoms are likely related to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. However, I have read about terrible side effects from people that stopped, too. Anyone have experiences to share?

With all the commercials you see on TV about YAZ and Yasmin and all the problems it has caused, i cant imagine that the positives out weigh the negatives. Currently I am on Levlen birth control, it has the minimum amount of estrogen and it works wonderful! But because everyone is different, i would suggest doing some research on birth control types and find whats best for her, then talk to a doctor about those types you have looked over. Good Luck!

Im on Yasmin. It helps to regulate my period each month, also helps to protect me against pregnancy at this point too. Yasmin is the only pill I've been on, so I don't know much about Ortho.

I am 19 and I have the same problem i was on yasmin and blood pressure went high stopped b.c. all together for around 8 months recently got back on it about 3months ago and my blood pressure is around 156/130...I am wondering the same thing perhaps is there any bc that will not make blood pressure high???

Last week I had an "episode" ( not sure what else to call it) but I completely freaked out. Now I am only 21. Basically what happened was I couldn't find the car key, and I kept calling my mother but she wouldn't answer her cellphone.

I am also off depo for 14 months now. My dr put me on yasmin for 2 months to regulate my cycle because I didn't have a period. So I have been off yasmin for 7 months now and I have been on and off clomid the past 6 months and it didn't work. Is it possible that the depo shot is causing me not to get pregnant? How long does it actualy take to work out of your system? I've only used it once.

Hi. I was on Yasmin three years, after that I was on Zoladex and now I am on Yasmin again. I don't know for sure, but I think that Yasmin prevents ovulation and it makes harder for sperm to reach uterus (it is harder for the fertilized egg to attach to the uterus). I have read this: The primary mechanism of Yasmin is inhibition of ovulation.

So I hear (and I have also read) that yasmin is AWESOME for women with PCOS.. Any comments? I am about to switch from alesse to yasmin but I am nervous because there have been many birth control pills that give me uncontrollable mood swings, anxiety and depression. Alesse has been okay for me, not the best, but ok. Does anyone else experience this when they take birth control pills? I think that it is related very closely to PCOS.

i just began taking yasmin today (never taken birth control before). so just now i began doing my research on yasmin, and it seems that the side effects are crazy! i cant say anything because this is only my day. i know pills work differently for everyone but i am really quite scared. what should i do? anyone have any good stories about yasmin??

Also I tried probably 3 or 4 different BCPs before I started Yasmin and all the others didnt help and they didnt make me feel like myself I felt tired and emotional all the time..Yasmin was perfect.. Oh yeah and I dont get a period without BC but Yasmin gave me one each month...I could count on when I would get it to the hour..

I take Marvelon21 and have since my surgery 4yrs ago. I am wondering if its the ingredients in the yasmin that could be doing it besides the progestin and estrogen?
