Avatar f tn I am trying to find out whether my personal professional experiences with injury management (I do rehab work but my experiences are with injuries) can be of any use. I have managed people with workplace injuries and know that nerve blocks can have great results with localise pain issues e.g. chronic back pain. Are nerve blocks an option for MS pain management?
Avatar f tn Sounds awful! The management should really take this seriously and try to "clean" things up for the sake of everyone. Unfortunately, many work in sick buildings. There are masks that can filter dust and noxious fumes. Here is a link to some types available: http://www.galeton.com/dust-mask.

Avatar m tn Indeed, fatigue management is a growing area of concern for employees, employers, and policy makers. And, industries from all sectors are interested including mining, aviation, health care, transportation, and the military. With colleagues at Harvard, we are holding a symposium entitled: Sleep and Shift Work: Optimizing Productivity and Health Management in the 24/7 Global Economy in Boston, MA on September 27-28, 2012. Avatar n tn I had to give up my rank and move to my original jail where i had a lot of friends in mananagement and staff and now I am leading a normal life again. I feel that I was let down by management and me peers in the previous jail.
Avatar f tn s been the boss for a long while now and management above him is not noticing nor are others speaking up. I'd leave the situation. And on the way out, report him.
1966669 tn?1337599912 I am 32 weeks pregnant and lately I have been having issues with anxiety. I never really had these feelings or concerns before even in a previous pregnancy. I feel like my heart is racing at times when I get overwhelmed. I am a supervisor in a call center and am stressed out quite often with the fact that I only have 6 weeks left of work and so much to do and no one realizing it. Its just frustrating.
Avatar f tn I'm 19, ftm, 5 weeks, and currently live at home with my mom. My mom and I have gotten into some really touchy subjects and my mom is continuing to belittle the father of my baby and me to the point of I might move out tonight. I have to get him from work in one hour. Any remedies to help me atay calm during all of this?
Avatar f tn The atenelol always helps, but it is a very uncomfortable problem which happens only under sever stress and about maybe 2 to 3 times a year. Do you have any suggestions that might help with this response. I Extreme fatigue follows the tacycardia and I need to sleep. I do not have any residual effects after I sleep, but I hate to lose the time.

10452875 tn?1436484351 Today, my back and feet have been really bad from the previous day of work and we had a couple cashiers in training who aren't allowed to be left alone. Well my manager comes up to me and tells me I need to get up and stock product after speaking with a lead who had informed him of the situation but he said it looks "bad". I know if I say anything to him I will get the short end of the stick for the rest of my pregnancy because I've seen him be vindictive before.
Avatar f tn So I put in a request to take a day off for a Dr appointment/20 week ultrasound. My employer told me I needed to change the time to morning and I can't have the day off! Well my mom who lives over 4 hours away is coming to town for this ultrasound. I was told they are not approving any time off until quality rating comes to rate us (I work at a preschool). Hmm telling a pregnant woman this is not good for their business! I'm about to tell this place where to stick it!
Avatar m tn Possibilities that may need to be considered include further degeneration, inflammations, hardware issues, nerve impingement/ compression, neuropathy etc. The back and the leg symptoms are likely to be separate issues that may need evaluation as well. I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician or a neurologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. Hope this is helpful. Take care!
Avatar n tn YES. I have a noisy neighbor with a rotten attitude and FM, too. Stress and noise aggravate FM, because we can't get the rest we need. This aggravates my migraine issues, too. People like this should be evicted, but the management would rather blame the victim for being too picky. I have neighbors agreeing with me about the lousy neighbor but management not lifting a finger to put a stop to this nonsense. I feel for you.
Avatar f tn re less than 2 months from going to closing on our house and so that means I need to begin to pack . My anxiety and stress is through the roof ..
Avatar n tn Have this evaluated further for proepr management. Medical management or therapy may help. Take care and best regards.
Avatar f tn I truly dont mean to come off this way and dont see how I am coming off in this manner. I would love to correct the issues and make them feel more comfortable with me. Today I am going to have a meeting with one of the main team members that just doesnt like my approach and feels this way to see if I can figure out a better approach. Still I would love any advice or any information on how I maybe coming off as Condesending.
974371 tn?1424653129 I have read a lot on these boards of people complaining of nausea, me included. I have suffered with it daily for months, no relief even from Zofran. One Doc said I had a motility disorder, another one said IBS. I was pretty much confined to home. Read ginger tea helped so tried that, with some relief. Saw a GI doctor at Stanford who suggested Ginger and Acupuncture. I had gotten acupuncture before with great results for sciatic issues. Made an appt with my acupuncture doctor, who is great!
Avatar f tn To find a doctor close to your place you can consult your insurance agent or office. There may be others at your workplace or around who have been to a pain management clinic. So, you could ask them. Local pharmacists too could guide you. You could look through the local directory. Check and see if there is a pain support group. Members of this group may be able to help you. Your husband’s old doctor may be able to provide some reference. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar f tn If you live in the Philippines, please note the following in case you are having HBV related discrimination issues in the workplace: According to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Advisory No. 5, no one should be denied employment or promotion or terminated from employment on the basis of Hepatitis B status alone. If you have experienced discrimination in the workplace, you may call the DOLE Hotline at 527-8000. https://www.
574118 tn?1305135284 Despite this, I still received a bad review saying I have poor time management skills. I have poor time management and judgement skills due to hypomania, which is why I asked for frequent breaks as an accomidation. I get my work done, but it is hard to concentrate and focus. Plus, I my thinking become disorganized and gets worse the longer the hypomania lasts. So even here with the ADA I don't know what I can do. :( Just know you're not alone. Work is so hard every day.
Avatar f tn Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums. Thanks for your questions. We recommend that you see your doctor for an examination and to discuss this. Avatar m tn It is possible to continue to have a stress fracture over months when it is not given due attention and appropriate care. Conservative management of stress fracture should aim at movement restriction and non-weightbearing for atleast 6-8 weeks, while stressful activities should be resumed gradually after 12-16 weeks. The duration of rest would also depend on the severity of the fracture and the healing response. For severe or non-healing fractures, surgery may need to be considered.
