Avatar n tn But I am going to shift to more cardio workouts. I really do not want to do that since I see positive results from my lifting, but I am concerned. My question is if I am doing everything I should be. I have been monitoring my blood pressure and it is fine. The two concerns I have is the stress, and stranous exercise. I am changing my exercise, and going to see a physician. I did ask about seeing a cardiologist but they suggested I should see the ENT first.
Avatar m tn You don't have to wait a full hour before you can eat. The instructions say 30-60 minutes before eating/drinking anything but water. I never wait more than 30 minutes. Be consistent and leave some time. I used to have to get up at 3:30 am for work...... I'd get up, take my med, turn on the coffeepot, get into the shower; by the time my shower, etc was done, so was the coffee and it would have been about 30 min from taking my med.........
Avatar f tn What we try to do here is help each other get back onto the right road. The true wake-up call is when you realize that you are an addict and need to change you ways and habits. I don't see too much about good times here. This is about abuse and what it does to yourself and to those around you.
Avatar m tn So, to be clear, you have never ejaculated, but you can get an erection? Do you have morning erections upon awakening? Do you have any problems urinating? If possible, try to visit with a urologist since I think that there is more going on here.
Avatar n tn Then, you set your alarm for two hours before you have to get up. You take your meds and fall back sleep. two hours later, when you wake up again, the meds will be kicking in and you'll wake up much faster. I have sleep apnea and even though I faithfully use my BiPAP machine, I am still exhausted. So, I take my Vyvanse (another form of Adderall) at 4:00AM and wake up again at 6:30. I am much better in the mornings now.
Avatar n tn However, often it still will not wake him up. When he was at home, he depended on me to get him up. Now that he is on his own, it is a real problem. He just received a suspension for two weeks at work due to tardies. He does not have to be at work until 10:00, and he makes sure he is in the bed by 11:00. His alarm is set for 9:00, but he can not depend on it to wake him up. Is there any help for this?
Avatar f tn I am a bit confused about working out in the morning or evening is much more worth to do or not. I have been doing abs workout early in the morning (just for 5-8mins) cause I have to go to work and prepare my lunch box right after workout done. Now I am wondering if I should do my evening workout eg. Cardio-12mins, exercise using elliptical machine-20mins or butt workouts-5mins-8mins. I admit I feel so lazy and just tired after work and I always ended in the kitchen for dinner around 5.45-6pm.
Avatar f tn I was reading yesterday that when you start working out and your pregnant, you start off small and increase as you go! Try starting off with simple walking and work your way up each week!
Avatar f tn I'm not a fan of working out, and in reality who is... But since I just turned 18 I absolutely need to lose weight! I'm about to go to college and I don't want to weigh 263lbs! Anyway it is really embarrassing to go to a gym and my family gives me no support so I never do it at home. Where should I workout?? Should I just tough trough it and get a gym membership? The problem is there has to be a gym that is open at 11 since that would be my only time to workout. What should I do?
Avatar f tn Hi, if you could exercise (walk) go low carb, stop all pizza, pasta, juice, sugary things, drink a lot of water you would see a difference.
Avatar n tn What do you ladies do for workouts while pregnant? Any schedules or specifics you follow? Any good advice? Im really trying to keep my body in shape.
Avatar f tn t actually burn fat but is good for helping your body to burn fat in the long run if you also incorporate aerobics), so if you find that to be true, you may want to tone it down and work your way up until your fitness level increases. That's fine because to burn fat you need to use the aerobic system, which you use when you do mild to moderate activity for a longer amount of time. Exactly why you rarely see fat marathon runners.
Avatar f tn I have to have darkness to sleep..I use a sleep mask when i take a nap. I take one nap during the day, or i will have trouble making it to 9pm. ( i am retired) i have to have some noise too..I use the radio..my husband found a light jazz station, and i set it to go off in an hour. this helps me. I also have a TV in my bedroom..sometimes i watch tv to help fall asleep..also set to go off in an hour. you could try some aroma therapy..if your not sensitive to smells. try a lavender plug in.
Avatar n tn Make sure you check her water levels before you go to bed and make sure there is at least a tidbit of dry food for kitty to nosh on during the night. Get a white noise CD and have your CD player set on repeat. Or, get a white noise machine. My kitty has gotten so used to the white noise that she runs into the bedroom when I turn it on, because she sometimes actually wants to sleep with me. Not always, but she is a very loving and affectionate kitty.
Avatar n tn I have a pretty steady schedule, i go to sleep no later than 12.30 and i have to be up by 6.00 am. It has even happened to me to actually get up and do something and go right back to sleep and then not remember it at all. I don't know what to do about my problem and it has been a problem for some time now.
Avatar m tn I am 54 years old and suffer from anxiety disorder. Every morning I wake up feeling weak and tired even though I get 8 to 10 hours of sleep. I went to my PCP and she did blood work and said, everything looked fine except my Vitamin D was low, she gave me 50,000 iu of vitamin D to take once a week for six weeks along with calcium, but I still feel weak and tired everyday. I take Xanax 1mg., but I only take it when I really need it.
Avatar n tn Hi, The intestines have a nervous system of its own. The advantages of such a system is that you do not need to think about digesting you food, you don't have to command your intestines to get it done, it simply gets the job done independently. The downside of this, is that your guts may occasionally behave erratically, expecially when challenged with altered feeding schedules, and variable loads of food to digest. It reacts in its own way and recovers in its own time.
Avatar n tn My daughter is 16 and she can have 4 good days and then it is like light switch turned off. She will wake up vomiting and very sick. Her sugars can be good until she starts to vomit and then they go up to the 400's. This makes no sense to us. There is no way she can get the stomach virus this often. This happens about once a month and it is not around the time of her period. Has anyone had this happen before? IF so, let us know what you know.
Avatar f tn ugh! My 5 yr old wouldn't sleep last night! She says she had a stomach ache. When I finally got to bed at 6am, my husband got up. I was like WHAT????? I'm finally getting to go to sleep!!! He said, "Don't worry. I'll be quiet." Yeah right..... We live in a really old house. It has antique wooden SQUEAKY floors. We has also rummaging around in the bedroom closet, shaking one of those drink cups you use before you work out at the gym.
Avatar f tn Isn't that what they call sleep apnea? I think it's a condition where your breathing slows or pauses in your sleep, causing you to wake up like that.
Avatar m tn If sounds like you stopped breathing and woke up, but it's difficult to say it was an apnea, since you need to stop breathing for 10 seconds before you can call it one. Are you eating late or drinking alcohol late? If so, stop that for a week or two and see if your problem comes back. If it does, you may want to see a sleep doctor.
1056865 tn?1325808785 I agree it is way too quite! Although I haven't even been online in about 4 days! lol The crib is something big, so I think you should start saving or thinking about which one you want for sure. As far as popular things.. the only thing that I REALLY used with all 3 of my kids is a bouncer seat. It's great for when you want the baby close, but you can't hold them. I love to put mine in theirs while I'm cooking supper, etc.
Avatar f tn Every morning I wake up sneezing and with a running nose why ? Is this happening to any of you ladies ?
Avatar f tn 00am wake up turned into 5:30, then to 5:00 and now it's 4:45. He is up and showered, dressed and ready for school at 5:15am! He doesn't have to be at school until 8:00 so now I am up at 5:00 finding myself breaking up fights between the kids that would normally take place after school. He does very well in school and he doesn't appear to be tired or cranky at school. So, here are my questions: 1. He's 9 and needs his sleep, but he is only getting between 8-9 hours a night.
