Avatar m tn I can't help you greatly, but maybe a little...? Are you doing "different" ab exercises? "Abs" aren't just 1 set of muscles (your abs are actually a group of 6 muscles)...so you shouldn't just work them 1 way. It is very good that you are resting at least a day between ab workouts - ALTHOUGH some experts say that abs are the only muscle group that can be worked every day. The rectus abdominis muscle is the one responsible for the "6-pack".
Avatar f tn I downloaded the apps "Daily Workouts free" and "Lose Weight Fitness and Workouts", those two apps have a ton of workouts for targeted areas or your whole body. They are also short videos so they show you how your body is supposed to be positioned. Daily Workouts also times you in intervals. Hope this helps if you're able to download apps. I also have the app "Fitness Buddy", but I haven't looked at it as much, that one looks more targeted towards men.
Avatar f tn Resistance training burns fat while you do it, but it also elevates your metabolic rate for up to 48 hours according to “The Abs Diet.” If you do full body workouts every other day, you can burn more belly fat all week long. Resistance exercise directly targets belly fat by triggering production of fat burning hormones. If you do a workout at night, take some protein before you go to bed to help with muscle recovery. It will not inhibit your fat burning and may actually improve it.

Avatar f tn You have to do cardio at least 30 minutes a day. Jogging is great and doing intervals during workouts to speed up your heart rate and burn those calories.

Avatar f tn To tone muscles around thigh and the stomach regular low grade exercises that target the region are best recommended. Aside classic abs exercises, straight leg lifts and side leg lifts would also be beneficial. Hope this helps. Take care!

Avatar f tn Im about 5 weeks pregnant. Can i still do ab workouts? I lost 25lbs un 3 months and i got pregnant. I workout 3-5 days a week. I want to stay in shape throughout my pregnancy so i can bounce back to normal after giving birth.
Avatar f tn Keep up training back u will need it. No abdominal work. Squats n stuff r ok at a pool ect takes pressure from abdomine n back. Also if u have tight abs they'll most likely split which ul need to fix early so keep them checked. Mine were gone around 15w cause of how tight all those muscles were.
Avatar f tn are there any good workouts and or things to incorporate that will help with fat loss and abdomen muscles?
Avatar f tn Return to your hands and knees but extend your legs backward so you’re balanced on your palms and toes to do pushups. Begin with your arms extended and your body straight from head to feet. Lower your chest to the floor and then push yourself up to the starting position while keeping your body straight at all times. Pushups work your chest and shoulders. Do the same exercise with your hands close together, below your upper chest, to target your triceps.
Avatar m tn I put everything into my exercise classes, absoloutely sweating like crazy, and really feel the burn when doing workouts. Please please please can anyone advise me as to where im going wrong. I also have very little control over my bladder since I started exercise.
Avatar f tn You don't say anything about your target weight. I assume you're trying to gain weight, but tell us exactly what you're trying to accomplish. I'd like to also say that eating a lot to gain weight is fine with the amount of working out you're doing, but keep in mind a lot of the food you're eating isn't very good for you. Health is still the most important thing.
7998970 tn?1435183202 Walking, exercise ball, little weights, etc are okay, especially if you were pretty active before pregnancy. No hardcore workouts though. time to gain weight lol.
Avatar f tn im 2mnths and i know eating has alot to do with it but ive tried to keep on track with eating but this baby wants me to eat or it makes me so grouchy lol...plz help!
Avatar f tn Just to add to that stopping exercise would also cause issues with your body, if you were very active (6 days a week exercise) it actually can put added pressure on your body to shock it into stopping suddenly
Avatar f tn In fact, endurance workouts should be a staple of a complete fitness program along with shorter, higher intensity workouts or even interval workouts which are a great way to burn calories and build endurance. To figure out your own intensity levels, start by calculating your target heart rate zone. In order to figure out which zone you're in, you first need to figure out what your own target heart rate is. You can do this by using the Karvonen Formula.
Avatar n tn Those ab ligaments are easy to pull while you have the relaxin hormones and closer to the end you definitely want to lay off the ab workouts. On the plus side, you can start again right after a natural birth, but not a c section.
Avatar f tn Squats will work your lower body in addition to your abs and back, helping you build strength. Try leg lifts to get your thighs in shape. You can do leg lifts lying on your back or your side, or sitting in a chair. For more intensity, try holding weights as you work out. If you're ready to graduate from body-weight exercises to regular trips to the gym, try weight machines that directly target your lower body.
Avatar f tn I used to do insanity also. I have worked out entire pregnancy and am 35 weeks. I do barre classes, because they have great pregnancy modifications. I also go to the gym and do cardio, core and lift weight. I don't do abs(crunches, etc), lift over 15 lbs or overhead arm workouts all per dr. I believe all have to do with that abdomen problem you can get later on, but keeping at least a light workout and core apparently helps for pushing, which makes sense.
4763883 tn?1359415784 Hey everyone~ I'm a 17 year old girl, and I've tried tons of diets. Currently, I'm just eating healthy, raw foods, and doing cardio. (700 calories running on my incline trainer every day) But I'm skinny.. It's only a little belly lump that's bothering me. The little lower belly lump. So apparently I'm supposed to do crunches, and excersises that focus on the lower abs- but I've never done this stuff. Anyone have any tips?
Avatar f tn com/2012/04/03/waist-workout-flamingo-exercise-to-improve-strength-agility-an-shrink-your-waist/ However if your body fat tends to accumulate in the lower section of your abdominal you need to do specific exercises to activate the lower abs such as applying some weight resistance on regular abdominal crunches.
Avatar m tn I can only us an ab machine for maybe a few light sets then my abs feel like they start to tense and I can tell it's about to pop out. After some moving around I can get it back in but I want to know is there any way I can do abdominal workouts without this happening.
