Avatar f tn I am 16 years old, 5'4 and 130 lbs. I recently tore my ACL and I can finally do more active workouts but nothing to strenuous on the knees. I'm pretty confident about my body would love to lose some stomach flab. I've been doing plenty of crunches and planks but still can't seem to lose it. I've also been trying to eat more healthy and not drink as much soda. Any Ideas??
Avatar f tn I do cardio kickboxung twice a week followed by body sculpting that involves light weights (8-10lb weights) that's on tuesday and Thursdays. Wednesdays I usually take my dogs for long walks. I'm a hair dresser so the other days I'm working and am too exhausted and sore to do anything else as of right now. Keep exercising it's good for both of you.

Avatar f tn re already active it is fine to keep doing your regular workouts.. just monitor your heart rate, try not to get above 150. I asked her if boot camp classes and spin is still okay (by two favorite) she said as long and I'm monitoring I can do whatever I feel like as long as it is safe and I am not over heating (no more kick boxing).
9571159 tn?1419571005 Hey I haven't been exercising im 21 weeks but I want to start so I talked to my nurse practitioner about it and she says walking, swimming, and squats are okay as long as you dont run out of breath because that starts taking oxygen from the baby but if your body is already use to exercising then you can continue to do it as long as you dont get short of breath.

Avatar f tn I was extremely fit bedore I got pregnant, I went to the gym 5-6 days a week as well as working a job where I am running around on my feet all day ! My doctor told me that I could continue with any workouts I was previously doing ad this was what my body was used to, I just wouldn't be able to increase my weights or anything like that. She did say to just listen to my body, so as I got further along (I'm 31 weeks now), I cut back on my workouts, making them shorter and less intense.

How about sqauts and push ups as well? Only reason i stopped working out is because my mom told me she would be less worried if i did and its safer for baby but i cant stay away . Avatar n tn Most Drs. say to keep it at a level you were capable of handling before pregnancy and stop if you feel you need to stop. You may find it difficult to eat well and exercise soon if morning sickness, and fatigue kick in. I was working out at a minimum 4 days a weeks and once I got to about 7 weeks I couldn't handle it anymore. Just try to stay active as much as you can handle.

Avatar f tn Keep up training back u will need it. No abdominal work. Squats n stuff r ok at a pool ect takes pressure from abdomine n back. Also if u have tight abs they'll most likely split which ul need to fix early so keep them checked. Mine were gone around 15w cause of how tight all those muscles were.
