Avatar f tn I want to lose a dress size and generally get healthy - I do not want to bulk up and am worried I may doing these exercises daily either that or just end up bigger because I have gained muscle under existing fat. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Most of the exercises are performed with a weight of between 2 and a 1/2 to 5lbs. I work out and do all of these exercises in the morning. If any of the exercises need explaining let me know and I will do my best to explain.
Avatar n tn i upped my doses/especially tyrosine and was religious with my 5htp..upped my workouts to increase endorphins and got my rear end off the couch...bulk nutrition has the powdered forms and i mix it with EmergenC to this day every morning..i no longer do the 3 x a day dose as i did at the beginning....look into 5htp for depression, theanine for anxiety, phenylalnine for pain and energy..tyrosine for pure enrgy that is quickly felt/if u r highly anxious then large amounts of tyrosine are not good.
Avatar f tn t want to lose weight without toning up your body as you go, anyways. Doing so would only cause you to have saggy skin and stretch marks all over your body. Make sure you are toning up! Also, spend the extra money to make sure A. you have a really good supportive everyday bra and B. you have a good, supportive exercise bra. As far as exercise goes, I recommend weight training every other day and cardio on the off days.

433485 tn?1321813390 My dil is a medical assistant and I have asked her in the past about to much fiber, she said there is no such thing. Fiber yes may bulk up but it attaches to the wall/lining of the colon/intestines and pulls the junk/garbage from it, which is exactly what you want it to do. Key is drink plenty of fluids with the fiber to help flush the process through. I am in this "misery" with you all. I have suffered with chronic constipation since 2001 after my hysterectomy.

Anyway it is really embarrassing to go to a gym and my family gives me no support so I never do it at home. Where should I workout?? Should I just tough trough it and get a gym membership? The problem is there has to be a gym that is open at 11 since that would be my only time to workout. What should I do?

Avatar f tn t actually burn fat but is good for helping your body to burn fat in the long run if you also incorporate aerobics), so if you find that to be true, you may want to tone it down and work your way up until your fitness level increases. That's fine because to burn fat you need to use the aerobic system, which you use when you do mild to moderate activity for a longer amount of time. Exactly why you rarely see fat marathon runners.
435762 tn?1244682620 And this is just my opinion but I would go heavy on the weights as opposed to light. As long as you are not eating tons of calories you will not bulk up or anything. It is actually really hard for women to gain muscle usually but when we do get some it gives us nice curves, not bulk. Plus, you can eat more :) IT can take some time. I had been athletic and slim my whole life so I thought for sure I would just bounce back after pregnancy.

Avatar m tn Are you taking supplements to bulk up? Are you taking anything that might be affecting your adrenal glands? The reason I ask is this. An underactive thyroid is a very vague diagnosis. There is a reason it is underactive. It may be an autoimmune disorder. It may be transient thyroidism. It may be because your adrenal glands are under a LOT of stress, and they have slowed down your thyroid gland as a protective measure.

Also, how long should he have them for? Should he take them every time he works out? After a few months, if he stops having the shakes, will the results last without continuing to have them? Avatar m tn You don't have to wait a full hour before you can eat. The instructions say 30-60 minutes before eating/drinking anything but water. I never wait more than 30 minutes. Be consistent and leave some time. I used to have to get up at 3:30 am for work...... I'd get up, take my med, turn on the coffeepot, get into the shower; by the time my shower, etc was done, so was the coffee and it would have been about 30 min from taking my med.........

Avatar f tn re already active it is fine to keep doing your regular workouts.. just monitor your heart rate, try not to get above 150. I asked her if boot camp classes and spin is still okay (by two favorite) she said as long and I'm monitoring I can do whatever I feel like as long as it is safe and I am not over heating (no more kick boxing).
