Avatar f tn Hello, I'm 15 this year and i'm 4 ft 9. im 69kg. I was figuring out how to exercise at home as the cases of crime is increasing rapidly. I couldnt get exercising machine. so i wonder is there any way to lose out weight by doing what kind of exercise and how long do i need to do it a day ?
Avatar f tn Anyway it is really embarrassing to go to a gym and my family gives me no support so I never do it at home. Where should I workout?? Should I just tough trough it and get a gym membership? The problem is there has to be a gym that is open at 11 since that would be my only time to workout. What should I do? Should I just continue to do vigorous house work and walking the dog? Or should I just get a gym membership? Thanks I appreciate it!
Avatar f tn She has this amazing (in place/in home) 3 mile walk that I do daily. When I first started Id have to stop at 1.5miles & take a 15min break than start, after about 2 weeks I could make it the whole 3 miles. Plus she has other fun work out r videos like hip hop, belly dancing, zumba, pretty much something for everybody. She has a KILLER one for butt & leg muscles (I've been doing the workout twice a week for 3months & WOW, my cell & fat seemed to vanish...
Avatar f tn I want to lose at least 50 pounds eventually, but I am taking it 5 pounds at a time! Lately I've been working on eating healthy and I built up a good amount of discipline and knowledge about what I should and should not be eating. Now Im trying to work out and burn at least 300 calories a day. I am not in shape at all (a 10 minute brisk walk wears me out) and was wondeeing if anyone had workout ideas for me??
Avatar f tn Can anyone recommend a good workout plan? My last pregnancy I gained 72 lbs and I am not wanting to do that again. Just wanting and healthy routine to help manage my weight so I don't go overboard again.
Avatar f tn Well I get incredibly restless and a feeling of emptiness and kinda uselessness and I just can't stand to sit still (no pun intended). It's a lot worse at night. By about five o'clock when I get home I try to sit and watch TV, play video games, whatever, and I can't do it for more than 30 minutes max. I guess I'm looking for pointers on things I can do to distract myself or something?
Avatar f tn Check the gym's class schedule and sign up for a beginner-level class. Many gyms have a wide selection of group classes that include yoga, aerobics, step aerobics and dance-style workouts such as Zumba. Joining a class for beginners can help if you feel unsure of how to proceed with your workout. Remember, you're likely not the only gym newbie in the class. As you exercise in a class, you might feel more confident and even find a future workout partner.
Avatar n tn Starting from arm workouts (using 5lb weights and resistance bands) then followed by workouts that can be done at home later. (Squats, dips, etcetera ). I was not every active pre pregnancy but I would like to keep my body tight. Will this do any harm to my unborn? Thanks.
Avatar f tn I even made a schedule for a specific pregnancy workout I found on pinterest and walking and elliptical. We just have to listen to our bodies I guess! I felt Bette when I went to the doctor today because they told me to work out 3 maybe 4 days a week and only for a maximum 20 min..
Avatar n tn I want to workout my abs and thighs. Any workouts that you have in mind to help me workout?
Avatar n tn What do you ladies do for workouts while pregnant? Any schedules or specifics you follow? Any good advice? Im really trying to keep my body in shape.
Avatar f tn im 26 weeks and i want to star working out is it okay ? its cause my legs are gettin ugly i need to star working with my legs and arms :(or should i wait ?
Avatar n tn Ever since I found out I was pregnant @ 5wks I've been working out every day for the sake of the baby (improved circulation, lung functioning, etc) & myself (good prep for labor, relieves aches & pains, feels good etc) and I'm in awe. Because I'm not trying to lose weight I hadn't noticed my body changing, but i looked at all my bump selfies from 6 wks to 16 weeks & the diff in tone is crazy!
Avatar f tn Obese men should start with low- to moderate-intensity aerobic workouts to ease into a fitness program. Some beginner-friendly aerobic workouts include walking or cycling on a stationary bike. The American College of Sports Medicine advises adults do moderate intensity cardio 30 minutes a day, five days a week for good health. Men can do cardio workouts five times a week for 30-minute sessions, or break up the workout into shorter, more frequent sessions.
Avatar n tn To start out I think starting with a gym might be a bit to dramatic so id say start working out at home first. You can look on YouTube or Pinterest and there are so many great at home workouts that are easy and take very little time, once you think you are ready ask a friend you join the gym with you, going your first time can be scary and having someone else with you at first makes the process less awkward.
3195521 tn?1348151133 I use an elliptical its a full body workout and its low impact so its one of the best workouts to use during pregnancy... luckily I have one here at home but I also do workouts I find online..... I would search online for safe pregnancy workout videos :) goodluck and congrats on ur baby coming!!!!
Avatar f tn My starter weight before I got pregnant was 118 and dropped to 115. Then I moved back home and my weight went up to 125 and now I'm 133. I did not like the fact I was gaining weight so fast and that I just lay around the house as well..so today I started doing more workouts that way I can be fit and have a easy labor. Hopefully I dont gain a lot of now. I just want a fit and healthy pregnancy. And specific workout routines you ladies do.?
Avatar f tn i am 26 and have a 3 soon to be 4 year old son and a five month old baby! love to offer a fellow dieter support and encouragement. i dont get much encouragement at home. for example my husband wants to eat out some chinese tonight, i told him i can't because its just too many calories going to a chinese bufffet, i know i dont hve enough self control to not eat everything i want so i'd rather avoid the situation, so he went out and got take out and sat down next to me eating it.....
1292438 tn?1276120904 Hi, loosing belly fat and making good abs can be a difficult job at times. Follow a few tips to start losing belly fat but it would not be a faster phenomenon. Major factors contributing to belly fat are overeating, no exercise, lack of balanced diet. Serving sizes bigger than required/ eating without being hungry/ snacking while watching movies, TV. You have two each small sized servings more frequently a day as compared to large servings few times a day.
Avatar f tn t do abs(crunches, etc), lift over 15 lbs or overhead arm workouts all per dr. I believe all have to do with that abdomen problem you can get later on, but keeping at least a light workout and core apparently helps for pushing, which makes sense. I am so glad i kept up with it and i think it helped me to not get sick once and stay energized. Since you stopped, just ease back into it. And don't get too hot. I bring a mini fan or a cooling wet towel so i dont overheat.
973741 tn?1342342773 I work out for cardiac benefits and overall weight control. I like to do a lot of different things and do walk a good amount (a good book on audio makes that something I look forward to). Most classes I do at the gym incorporate weight exercises (light weights 4 to 6 pounds for me or a 10 pound bar) and I like to do those but don't always make it. So, then I work out at home.
10165853 tn?1456333837 But im 9 weeks almpst and i still hit the gym, walk, hike, hiking is my favorite. I also work out at home since i have 2 kids i cant always go out to do it. I actually downloaded a pregnancy work out app for free and it has 20 minute workouts for 1st 2nd and 3rd trimester.
Avatar f tn NS said he didn't find anything unexpected, and I don't think he was looking for anything in particular. He was also surprised at how quickly I noticed improvement in my breathing. I tire easily and my head/neck hurt constantly, but it's great to be at home! At least at home I can manage my own pain meds -- I didn't have a pump, so had to beg for meds all the time when pain got bad...then had to WAIT for pharmacy to send up my flexeril. So lame!
