Avatar f tn Izumi Tabata and researchers from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo. HIIT workouts can last as little as four minutes but are highly effective for increasing fitness and fat loss! .
Avatar f tn These are the only exercises I did but depends on your ability and fitness level. I had breathlessness throughout my preg so anything else was too much much me.
Avatar n tn I want to workout my abs and thighs. Any workouts that you have in mind to help me workout?
Avatar f tn I downloaded the apps "Daily Workouts free" and "Lose Weight Fitness and Workouts", those two apps have a ton of workouts for targeted areas or your whole body. They are also short videos so they show you how your body is supposed to be positioned. Daily Workouts also times you in intervals. Hope this helps if you're able to download apps. I also have the app "Fitness Buddy", but I haven't looked at it as much, that one looks more targeted towards men.

Avatar f tn Everyone's body is different, not one-size fits all on how long it will take to see changes in your body when you start working out. It also depends on the kind of workouts you're doing, and what your lifestyle is like. At a physiological and hormonal level, changes start to occur in the body instantly after a workout, but most people will start actually seeing results within the first month or two of making regular workouts part of their weekly routine.
Avatar f tn I wanted to do my normal routine as well. I am definitely a fitness girl, but I toned my workouts way back just to be safe. I did fast paced walking until 32 weeks. Now, at 37 weeks I can't walk much. I do toning and strength training with light or no weights (lunges and squats are my favorite). My husband is a personal trainer, so I had to just accept slower workouts and just focus on retaining muscle memory. It's better to be a little conservative for the benefit of your baby.
Avatar n tn My Dr has always told me in the first trimester I can do any workouts that were at my fitness level before the pregnancy. You can do any workouts as long as you don't push yourself harder then you were before the pregnancy.
Avatar f tn After my 2nd (6lbs 14oz) I became quite the fitness junky and just rescently found out I'm expecting. Am I okay to continue all my workouts? No weights involved... Just worked really hard to get my body back after my 1st (8lbs 12oz)and finally got my highschool abs back... I wanna keep at it so I can stay fit and active..
Avatar f tn Any mommys that were fitness lovers and plan to keep to working out? After my first baby I became a gym lover and I plan on working out throughtout this entire pregnancy. Im a little nervous. .. thoughts?
Avatar m tn I am a 32 year old male. I have been diagnosed with CSR in right eye. Upon consultation to an eye specialist, he suggested to wait for two months & would cure itself. I am a fitness freak and would like to know if I can continue gym workouts at this condition. Does it have any impact on CSR?
Avatar f tn re already active it is fine to keep doing your regular workouts.. just monitor your heart rate, try not to get above 150. I asked her if boot camp classes and spin is still okay (by two favorite) she said as long and I'm monitoring I can do whatever I feel like as long as it is safe and I am not over heating (no more kick boxing).
Avatar f tn It depends on your pre-pregnancy fitness level. The most important thing is to not overheat and later, activities that rely on good balance (e.g., snow/ice sports) or heavy lifting. Swimming, walking and yoga are all highly recommended for most pregnant women.
Avatar n tn Circuit training burns 30 percent more calories than typical weight training workouts. You can easily do circuit training workouts at home or at the gym on your own. Workouts last 30 to 45 minutes each and use either dumbbells, resistance bands or just your own body weight as a resistance. You're doing a series of exercises one after another in a circuit without taking any breaks in between the exercises.
Avatar f tn These non-running workouts will boost your level of fitness and may add enough extra leg strength to make a difference in your running times. stretch key muscle groups, especially as you get older. The evidence is that stretching improves running, however as a runner you should stretch hamstrings, calf, gluts, and hip flexors almost daily to ensure good range of motion in your hips. Lose weight if you need it!
Avatar f tn m a boxer. yesterday i found out i was pregnant. could the workouts that i had been doing cause me to have a miscarriage or cause my baby to be born with a birth defect ??
5857951 tn?1375565903 I encourage you to visit Dr Mercola’s site to learn more about Peak 8 fitness because I personally feel that it is one of the best ways to exercise, especially considering the speed at which you can lose fat and build muscle.  I highly recommend you read this article and watch the videos on the page.
Avatar f tn I was very much into fitness before I got pregnant but my first trimester (even before I knew I was pregnant) I pretty much stopped everything because I had no energy. I'm now 15 weeks and this is my 2nd day in a row doing some light workouts. Anyone else?
Avatar f tn So I'm doing stuff like dancing, HIIT workouts, weights, etc. just normal exercises but I also want to start jogging. What type or shoes should I get that I can use for every day exercise and jogging. Can I just do everything in running shoes? Also does anyone recommend a certain brand. Nothing to expensive. I don't want to pay like 200 dollars. Honestly the most I want to pay is 40 to 50. Might even go 60.
3195521 tn?1348151133 What I do I go on YouTube and and look for workouts for pregnant women and do some of that I really like them...
915119 tn?1341948989 s a little too soon to think about this, but what are your diet plans after the baby is born? I definitly have to get on a diet as I have gained a lot of weight. When I had my last daughter I got on the "Herbalife" diet and lost all my baby weight plus about 15 extra pounds but I want to consider other diets before getting on that strict "Herbalife" diet. It's hard for me because I am a picky eater, but I want to eat healthy!! Any suggestions?? What are your plans?
Avatar n tn I have been eating far too much fatty foods and I am embarrest by how bad my fitness is. I am not a fat person, I am very slim but fat has accumulated throughout my body (cellulite yuck). I have decided that I have had enough of not being able to do the activities that I want to do like swimming and I need to do something to get rid of the fat. I am keen to take up skiing which is a good reason and motivation to improve my fitness.
Avatar f tn Not deep fried KFC, of course! There are many sites you can look at to find healthy eating plans to suit your taste and likes. Secondly, if after you have a good calorific diet and find after a few weeks you are still not losing any weight, I suggest you get a thyroid panel done. Many hypothyroid patients find they can't lose weight ( I am one of them who struggles with keeping the weight off and down) Also steer clear of the diet pills.
Avatar n tn Ever since I found out I was pregnant @ 5wks I've been working out every day for the sake of the baby (improved circulation, lung functioning, etc) & myself (good prep for labor, relieves aches & pains, feels good etc) and I'm in awe. Because I'm not trying to lose weight I hadn't noticed my body changing, but i looked at all my bump selfies from 6 wks to 16 weeks & the diff in tone is crazy!
4347624 tn?1353481573 On weekdays i do 20-30 mins of high intensity aerobic workouts daily and i mix up 3 days a week 20 min abs, obliques and thigh and butt workouts. On weekends i usually do a 20 minute high intensity aerobics in morning and a 50 minute in the afternoon. But i keep feeling dizzy and sometimes feel too weak to follow through the end of the workout. Today i almost fainted and i don't know why.
Avatar n tn From there you figure different heart zones to work in. 70-80% they say is where you achieve good aerobic fitness. I take medication to slow my heart, as I have been diagnosed with inappropriate sinus tachycardia. However, I am still able to achieve HR in 70-90% of my target heart rate. However, I only spend a little time in upper ranges. I base my workouts on how my BP is doing. If i do overexert, too much time at upper ends, it can drive my HR up.
