I've been swimming a lot during my pregnancy as it feels so nice to exercise without feeling the weight of your belly. Walking as often as possible is also good. These are the only exercises I did but depends on your ability and fitness level. I had breathlessness throughout my preg so anything else was too much much me.

Contract your stomach muscles to lift your buttocks, then your stomach and then your middle back off the floor. Do not lift your shoulders off the ground. Hold this position for 10 seconds, then lower the body to the ground. Repeat four to eight times.
Avatar f tn Overtraining can make someone particularily tired and fatigued during workouts, it also decreases strength and endurance because your muscles get very tired from never having a chance to rest. Maybe you were working out every day. If so, next time you start working out, make sure to take rest days or at least make sure to not work the same muscles day after day. I don't know anything about what your workout was, and what your nutrition and lifestyle was like.

Avatar m tn Also consult your PT because there are some workouts that are designed for cutting down muscles and there are some that is designed to build muscles. Maybe the one you are doing is to toned down your muscles. Try eating more protein and also take some multivitamins. Drink milk every night before you sleep.

If you hope to run the mile in six minutes, then your 400m splits even out to 90 seconds per lap. For this workout, run your 400m repeats in exactly 90 seconds and gradually reduce the recovery time from two minutes to 30 seconds between repeats. Practice running uphill and downhill once a week.
Avatar f tn I downloaded the apps "Daily Workouts free" and "Lose Weight Fitness and Workouts", those two apps have a ton of workouts for targeted areas or your whole body. They are also short videos so they show you how your body is supposed to be positioned. Daily Workouts also times you in intervals. Hope this helps if you're able to download apps. I also have the app "Fitness Buddy", but I haven't looked at it as much, that one looks more targeted towards men.
Avatar f tn That's not true. If you look at pregnancy workouts they always do that stretch in the beginning of workouts haha. I workout everyday and all I know I can't do is on my back abs.

The doctor did say it was spondilyosis (sp.? but it means arthritis in the back , no cushion in the disks). I also can't stand or walk too long without pain. I am going to try the physical therapy. The doctor I went to did say that those epidurals often don't work on the back. I don't really have an answer, but wanted to let you know you're not alone.

Avatar m tn Also, does he do abdominal workouts? Hot water, and heat in general, helps relax the muscles. If his muscles are extremely tense, or have been stressed from workouts, the cramping could be from the release of the lactic acid that builds up in tensed muscles. I would recommend he start drinking lots of water after his showers, and try to flush the lactic acid out of his system. He should also drink a LOT of water during the day, as well as during and after exercising.

Avatar n tn Those ab ligaments are easy to pull while you have the relaxin hormones and closer to the end you definitely want to lay off the ab workouts. On the plus side, you can start again right after a natural birth, but not a c section.

Anyways, since i lost all this weight, my body has changed and i'm much thinner but sadly i still have some untone muscle and skin on my stomach and little flubber on my upper upper inner thighs. Daily I run anywhere from 3-6 miles and i do three sets of crunches, "russian twists", planks, and lunges.

I just want to know if my workouts have anything to do with these random muscle occurrences? This has really been bothering me and tbh, anxiety most likely also has played a role in this as well. 1855780 tn?1319722878 I feel you. I was on the same ship. Luckily you're motivated and gets the key! Make a weekly plan and definitely stick with it. I suggest 6 small meals a day, just spread it out evenly, mostly protein, fruits, and all the veggies you can eat! I also suggest to mix up your exercises, not just jogging or walking but 30 min of weights at least twice a week that includes arm and leg workouts. Start light and slowly work your way up, your body will tell you when to increase weights.

The muscles need to be strong, activated so when you start dropping body fat you will see how your waist drops significantly. In other words For best results, combine aerobic exercise with a regular strengthening workout that targets the abdominal muscles.

One day i then made it worse by rushing my shoulder workout which left my neck feeling tight and swollen. I then felt dizzy and stopped working out. I rested for about a week and now i can't seem to have a proper workout without feeling light headed, tingly face feeling, sinus blocked, ear blocked, face goes a bit numb. I have been working out for 3 years and have never experienced anything like this.

Avatar f tn You want those muscles strong, but not inflamed. Light plank holds and exercise ball workouts are good. Plus I find its really easy to oull an ab with all the relaxin and round ligament pain. Let you abs relax drink something with some sugar and see if he gets moving around again.

Drink a shake as soon as you're done with working out, as it's protein your muscles need to repair themselves, and the faster you get this into your system, the better the healing will be. If you think about this, it makes sense. The minute you've stopped tearing the muscle, it tries to repair itself. It doesn't wait for an hour and then decide to start knitting itself back together!
