Common Questions and Answers about Workouts on elliptical

Avatar f tn I worked out 4-56 times a week and now I can barely get 3 workouts in. I even made a schedule for a specific pregnancy workout I found on pinterest and walking and elliptical. We just have to listen to our bodies I guess! I felt Bette when I went to the doctor today because they told me to work out 3 maybe 4 days a week and only for a maximum 20 min..
Avatar f tn almost every time i run or do the eliptical i feel like i have to poop, the strange thing is, i never really have to go its just a sensation, and its not a comforatable urge either, it first feels like lower abdominal period cramps or like im about to have diarrhea, then if i continue doing whatever im doing it quickly waves upward into nausea and i get really sweaty and the color drains from my face.
Avatar f tn I'm used to working out every day..I used to do INSANITY and P90X but ever since I found out I'm pregnant, I've been nauseous and so exhausted that I've hardly worked out at all. I'm a couple weeks away from my 2nd trimester so I'm hoping to start working out again. Anyone on here working out while pregnant? What kinds of workouts are best?
Avatar f tn Does anyone do pregnancy workouts? I try to do them every other day!

Avatar f tn So my fiancè just got us a gym memebership. What workouts can I do while pregnant?
Avatar f tn Now I am wondering if I should do my evening workout eg. Cardio-12mins, exercise using elliptical machine-20mins or butt workouts-5mins-8mins. I admit I feel so lazy and just tired after work and I always ended in the kitchen for dinner around 5.45-6pm. And I will go to bed by 10pm as I have to wake up at 4.30-5am. I wish to hear anyone's advise regarding my workout routine! Thanks!
Avatar f tn My regular week is usually one day of yoga, one day on the elliptical+abs, two days of work out videos and walking, and a long hike on the weekends. Good luck! I think sticking w daily exercise has helped me to feel good throughout this pregnancy so far!
Avatar f tn When did you have to stop working out? I'm 33+3 and could only do half of my elliptical workout today because I started having some pretty bad cramping. I don't want to keep going and get hurt so I may start limiting my workouts.
Avatar f tn This is my third pregnancy and Ijust walk the treadmill and do the elliptical. You probably should not being doing ab or cardio workouts. While pregnant slow down and be safe.
Avatar n tn I recently bought an elliptical trainer (a Lifefitness 9500). I find that after 3 minutes on level 1, my legs are burning and my heart rate is about 145 or even 150. I don't know if its good to exercise that hard for very long when just beginning, but I'm not sure how to really get started, since this is the lowest setting on the machine. Should I just keep doing a few minutes a day and see if I get better?
Avatar f tn ve started stretching more than once a day (I found IT band hip stretches on the web!)...I walked on a high incline yesterday on the treadmill, but only did a mile (I usually do a minimum of 4 miles) and iced it immediately and I don't feel any worse than yesterday. So that's good. It's still a little tender, but way better than how limpy it made me a few weeks ago...
Avatar n tn right now I have a 5 mile day, two 4 mile days, a 3 mile day, and a day of 45 minutes on the elliptical. I sprinkle ab and arm workouts in there as well. on September 28th I weighed 153.4 lbs and a month later (today) I weighed 156.4 lbs. How is it that I have gained 3 lbs in one month with the eating and fitness schedule I am on??
349463 tn?1333571576 I agree with the above. If you're just working out on the elliptical or running on the treadmill and doing weight training, that's fine. I've known women who are black belts in karate getting pregnant. It shouldn't be an issue as long as it's not affecting your period.
Avatar f tn P.S. I forgot to add you can do this on either the elliptical, stationary bike or treadmill.
Avatar f tn Check the gym's class schedule and sign up for a beginner-level class. Many gyms have a wide selection of group classes that include yoga, aerobics, step aerobics and dance-style workouts such as Zumba. Joining a class for beginners can help if you feel unsure of how to proceed with your workout. Remember, you're likely not the only gym newbie in the class. As you exercise in a class, you might feel more confident and even find a future workout partner.
Avatar f tn I work out daily with weights and have no problem with elliptical workouts. Am I being too impatient or is this just not healing correctly?
Avatar n tn 60 to 65 min on elliptical, 5--6 times/week ; 3 mile jogging if I miss elliptical, sometimes. 6.4 miles/750 cal burnt per workout; loses about 3--4 lb per workout ( monitored weight before/after workout for about 1.5 years ) Lost about 18 lb in 6 months and maintained it for 1.5 years.
Avatar f tn Me and my mom like to do Jillian Michael workouts. They are very fast shedding workouts, so if you dont already have one of her dvd's look up a few of her videos on youtube. She likes to do a lot of boxing videos. These videos have helped me loose a few pounds very quickly.
Avatar f tn Yes I go to gym 5 times a week , I usually walk on the treadmill for 30 min , elliptical for 30 min , and bike for 20 mint ,just today I tryed the peak 8 on the bike for 20 min, and 30 mint treadmill , actually I love it . Dot you think I could reach my goal in 5 month ?!
11970743 tn?1426036106 until recently due to some pressure below I was workinh out at planet fitness 2-3 times a week...elliptical or treadmill then leg machines...I love it but fear I maybe over doing it...I just don't want to gain alot, lose my leg firmness or get out habit of working out...I find myself tired quicker and people looking at me like I shouldnt be there...should I??
4845170 tn?1369102292 I did zumba, as long as it's not super high impact it's fine!
7677085 tn?1395374075 Kudos to you hun! I hate jogging/ running. I'd much rather amp up the height and resistance on the elliptical than run. But I've been too nauseous to keep up with housework let alone work out. I'm hoping when I get over this morning sickness I can start back up with my workouts.
Avatar n tn I have eliminated any kinds of ab workouts, I do a quick simple arm and leg routine and then do 2o min on my elliptical. Some days I am all full of energy and have to remind myself that I set a time limit for a reason. Other days, I don't feel like doing anything! My lil workout is how I end the day. The kids are in bed, so is my so. I clean then I take my workout as some me time. Then shower and bed. Lol, it is almost 1am and I am still trying to convince myself to just do it.
Avatar f tn m pregnant and currently 7 weeks. My daily routine is 20 mins on treadmill, 20 on bike or elliptical, 60 crunches or situps, then I work out my thighs, Lower back and other areas. My doctor said to keep working out and drink tons of water so i don't cramp up. My trainer also said just use your body as your signal and you will be just fine :) But I would definitely consult a doctor because we are all different and they know best.
