Avatar m tn After Any type of excercise, whether it be high intensity basketball, running routes in football, or lifting, my heart rate skyrockets to 150 or 160. It jumps to 120 just warming up. And even after im done with all the excercise, my heart can stay at around 120 bpm up to 2 to 4 hours after in done.. to add to that my heart sometimes drops to 46 to 60... now I'm not that in shape nor am I THAT out of shape.

Avatar f tn Got it checked out. The doctor said it was just an abrasion probably from basketball and workouts. The miconazole made it sting like a b****. The doctor also said I can stay off the miconazole. I don't even have to be on cipro either.

What are the symtoms for drinking too much water? I go too the bathroom about 7 times a day since I started drinking a gallon a day. Avatar n tn I have a birthing book that has dif things you can do to help your body get ready for labor while also staying in shape its called your pregnancy and childbirth it has lots of interesting stuff in it. Also I go swimming four times a week minimum and spend thirty mins to an hour in the pool.
Avatar m tn Hey, so yesterday I was in the gym and the last workout I did before playing basketball was a sort of pectoral contractor where you pull weighted handles together until your hands meet in the middle of your chest. It was my first time on the machine, but I did my usual weight and reps. When I got home I noticed the right side of my chest was really tight. Usually when I get this feeling, I just stretch and after a pop it goes away.

The body takes them in and feels the calories in terms of weight, but even though it does, the person does not get less hungry after drinking them. If this is not it, go through all the things you eat and look each one up, to see what the calorie load is. I'd also try some distance running or running on a track, if you can.

Avatar f tn I worked out 4-56 times a week and now I can barely get 3 workouts in. I even made a schedule for a specific pregnancy workout I found on pinterest and walking and elliptical. We just have to listen to our bodies I guess! I felt Bette when I went to the doctor today because they told me to work out 3 maybe 4 days a week and only for a maximum 20 min..

Anyway it is really embarrassing to go to a gym and my family gives me no support so I never do it at home. Where should I workout?? Should I just tough trough it and get a gym membership? The problem is there has to be a gym that is open at 11 since that would be my only time to workout. What should I do?

I started playing basketball a couple of times a week about 3 years ago and got back in decent shape. Problem is, a few times lately after playing, I just feel a little 'blah', like I overdid it just a bit. It happened again today and when I returned home, I checked my heart rate on my wife's pulse-ox device (she's a PT).

For healthy adult males who are athletic it is not uncommon to have low rates as you have. From my understanding it is only when you have disabling symptoms does it become concerning. I think I read somewhere that the threshold is something like a three second pause is when it gets concerning and if i did my math right a beat of 40 is still only 1.5 seconds between beats.

My imagination is killing me. It is like one of our opponet prick me with needle. 1. Do you think i need to be tested in this case? 2. if you are prick by needle while playing theres a chance that you will feel it?
Avatar f tn When this all began I started getting CRAZY spasms in my abs when I tried to do certain workouts. Gas would literally get stuck in my abdomen, especially if I did heavy squats. Could be something with L3?
Avatar m tn You could have ruptured a tendon. There are so many tendons and ligaments that can be hurt in basketball and if not addressed your basketball playing could be over if not looked at. At least have it addressed properly by a physician. You may need to get an MRI so the soft tissues can be looked at. Don't mess with it and act like it didn't happen because it can only get worse. Your Knee cap is held in place by several tendons and ligaments that are so important. Did you hear a pop?
Avatar m tn s now I had a ultrasound of my heart done about 6 months ago and it came back normal but every few days ill get a little heart flutter and during basketball I would sometimes have like 2 minute flutter but they would go away after I drank some water I am a huge hypochondria and I don't no what to do I can't ease my mind can some calm me down I need so reassurance
