Avatar f tn I downloaded the apps "Daily Workouts free" and "Lose Weight Fitness and Workouts", those two apps have a ton of workouts for targeted areas or your whole body. They are also short videos so they show you how your body is supposed to be positioned. Daily Workouts also times you in intervals. Hope this helps if you're able to download apps. I also have the app "Fitness Buddy", but I haven't looked at it as much, that one looks more targeted towards men.
Avatar f tn Thanks i can do all the other kinds of workouts but i think abs are the hardest, not giving up though.
Avatar n tn I want to workout my abs and thighs. Any workouts that you have in mind to help me workout?

Avatar f tn Im about 5 weeks pregnant. Can i still do ab workouts? I lost 25lbs un 3 months and i got pregnant. I workout 3-5 days a week. I want to stay in shape throughout my pregnancy so i can bounce back to normal after giving birth.
7998970 tn?1435183202 Nothing hard core (crunches of any sort), but workouts that engage your core for balance and stability are okay (yoga, tai chi, Pilates, etc...) and were actually reccomended for me. I didn't do them because I felt like a hippo, and my abdominal wall has since torn from lack of, well...anything. Right above my belly button it's bruised and you can feel an indentation where the sides have separated from each other.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know of any safe workouts i vould do while prego?im 2mnths and i know eating has alot to do with it but ive tried to keep on track with eating but this baby wants me to eat or it makes me so grouchy lol...plz help!
Avatar n tn I'd save the sit ups for after you have the baby. ;) I've been doing prenatal yoga and love it!
Avatar f tn ex 1: lay down on your back and keep your legs together then raise them to a 90 degree angle then back down to the floor without touching it. I usually do this for 2-3 minutes before switching to the next exercise. ex: 2 : bicycle kick, on your back get your elbows to touch your knees as you move them around like a bike (if that makes sense) ex. 3 on back, legs out on a 45 degree angle, you hold it there while you do crunches.
Avatar m tn I can only us an ab machine for maybe a few light sets then my abs feel like they start to tense and I can tell it's about to pop out. After some moving around I can get it back in but I want to know is there any way I can do abdominal workouts without this happening.
Avatar f tn That's not true. If you look at pregnancy workouts they always do that stretch in the beginning of workouts haha. I workout everyday and all I know I can't do is on my back abs.
Avatar n tn Hey everyone. I was looking for an ab workout routine on the internet and I came across one of those old 'Eight Minute Abs' videos on Youtube. It was basically just eight minutes of different types of crunches so I figured it was as good a place as any to get started. So, I did the routine and I did, in fact, feel the burn so to speak in my abs. I'm in moderate physical shape and it was a bit difficult getting through the whole eight minutes, so I guess that's a good thing.
Avatar f tn s possible to build six-pack abs through cardio workouts alone if you engage the core muscles. Running, tennis, kickboxing and rowing all use the core to stabilize the upper body during the workout. The abs engage, and at the same time get stronger and more defined. Doing ab exercises is the best way to sculpt the six-pack.
Avatar f tn I am a bit confused about working out in the morning or evening is much more worth to do or not. I have been doing abs workout early in the morning (just for 5-8mins) cause I have to go to work and prepare my lunch box right after workout done. Now I am wondering if I should do my evening workout eg. Cardio-12mins, exercise using elliptical machine-20mins or butt workouts-5mins-8mins. I admit I feel so lazy and just tired after work and I always ended in the kitchen for dinner around 5.45-6pm.
Avatar f tn m expecting. Am I okay to continue all my workouts? No weights involved... Just worked really hard to get my body back after my 1st (8lbs 12oz)and finally got my highschool abs back... I wanna keep at it so I can stay fit and active..
Avatar m tn I am doing all body muscles workouts at home (sometimes intense workout) including abdominal workouts. I want to start swimming for a while and i want to know what are the benefits of swimming, and what will my muscles and abs benefit from it.
Avatar f tn re already active it is fine to keep doing your regular workouts.. just monitor your heart rate, try not to get above 150. I asked her if boot camp classes and spin is still okay (by two favorite) she said as long and I'm monitoring I can do whatever I feel like as long as it is safe and I am not over heating (no more kick boxing).
Avatar m tn It is very good that you are resting at least a day between ab workouts - ALTHOUGH some experts say that abs are the only muscle group that can be worked every day. The rectus abdominis muscle is the one responsible for the "6-pack".
Avatar f tn I've had the same problem my whole first trimester. I'm almost in my second as well so I hope to start working out again soon. In the meantime I go to the pool when I can and do some swimming and stuff.
649848 tn?1534633700 ll get fit faster. Men and women who did two 15-minute workouts 4 days a week improved their cardiovascular endurance twice as much as those who worked out in a single 30-minute routine 4 days a week. So, Barb, I've heard you mention you have dogs. Can you squeeze in separate walks for them - in between imparting your wisdom to us???
Avatar f tn I usually stop situps and hard ab workouts at the 2nd semester. You want those muscles strong, but not inflamed. Light plank holds and exercise ball workouts are good. Plus I find its really easy to oull an ab with all the relaxin and round ligament pain. Let you abs relax drink something with some sugar and see if he gets moving around again.
Avatar f tn am 5 weeks 5 days and I was wanting to know if it is safe to continue light ab workouts 5 to 7.5 minutes a day. Things like crunches and sit ups.
Avatar f tn I have been doing a low key workout which includes Ab work, lower back exercises, glute work and Kegel exercises. I have found some great videos on YouTube for 1st trimester workouts. Pilates and pre-natal Yoga come highly recommended.
Avatar f tn Do you know for sure it was just laziness making you tired during workouts? Because working out usually gives people more energy - it's normal to experience tired muscles but it's a pleasant tiredness. A tiredness that causes you to quit your workouts may mean there's something wrong, like perhaps your immune system is trying to fight off a cold or an infection. There are a number of physical reasons that can make someone too tired to workout.
Avatar f tn Abs aren't really the core -- those are the muscles beneath the ones you can see. The only way you're going to get there is to work hard at training. Do you have access to a good personal trainer? Also remember that women have a harder time getting the definition men can get because of lower testosterone. When you see anyone, though, with those really tight abs they either work incessantly at it or they're taking steroids, especially the women.
Avatar f tn Hi! I had a lapratomy about 4 months ago. I'm very active and was used to working out everyday, lifting weights and running before surgery. Like you, I was antsy to get back into the routine. It's very important that you don't push it. I walked a lot during my recovery. Then at about 5 weeks, I felt okay enough to go back to the gym. I started my workouts only 3 days a week at the gym.
