Avatar m tn The only way to run faster is to run faster. You should continue with your track workouts and try to add some other types of runs as well. I'm assuming that by track workouts, that you are doing things like repeats and things of that nature, so try to add (on the road) short distance runs at a faster pace than normal.

Avatar f tn t a fat weight and i dont believe i am fat but i know i am a little tubby in the stomach area when i go to the gym i do 30 minutes on the elptical and then i do ten minutes focussing on my abs then i do tens minutes of upper body workouts such as working shoulders triceps biceps etc then finall i do ten minutes of running and walking i walk half the track then sprint half the track and then of course i stretch if i keep this up about 4-5 times a week and only go out to eat out once a week do
Avatar f tn Anyway it is really embarrassing to go to a gym and my family gives me no support so I never do it at home. Where should I workout?? Should I just tough trough it and get a gym membership? The problem is there has to be a gym that is open at 11 since that would be my only time to workout. What should I do? Should I just continue to do vigorous house work and walking the dog? Or should I just get a gym membership? Thanks I appreciate it!

I personally stopped swimming (because it's quite expensive here) when we got a dog when I was 4 months pregnant so now I'm still walking 2-3 hours everyday at 37 weeks pregnant and I've gained about 28 lbs (I'm quite tall). Hope you find something that works for you!

After 2 and a half years of this same stupid problem I decided to have a go at simply sucking on strong mints such as eclipse blue. I'll chew on acouple before I workout to get the cool clear sensation in my mouth and nose and sit acouple in my mouth as I workout. this seems to cool my air intake and stop the gagging while i workout.

Avatar f tn s great cardio and resistance at the same time. You can use flippers. Kick from your butt muscle. Keep your legs straight. No bending at the knee. I like swim goggles. But rarely use fins. Oh. Use socks w fins to prevent blisters. You'll see results within a month. To float just put your head back into water up to your face. Best of luck.
Avatar f tn do any of you used to workout before you found out you were pregnant? do you still workout? I used to go 4-6x/wk and now I only go 2-3x. it's freaking me out. I was trying to lose fat before. I'm about 25%bf and I'm losing the little definitions I gained because I lack motivation to workout. and being nauseous all the time doesn't help either. I want to keep working thru the pregnancy and be in 'shape' for labor.
Avatar f tn ve been swimming a lot during my pregnancy as it feels so nice to exercise without feeling the weight of your belly. Walking as often as possible is also good. These are the only exercises I did but depends on your ability and fitness level. I had breathlessness throughout my preg so anything else was too much much me.

Avatar f tn I had sex January 1st. We used a condom and I am positive nothing went wrong and he pulled out. I got my period in February and then again in march. Both lasted a week but were irregular dates. I was so nervous I took about 13 hpt and all were negative. I was supposed to get my period April 8 but it never came. I am extremely busy with track and it's excessive workouts everyday. I have cramps all the time. I'm just nervous.

Do the The Peak 8 routine it will quickly raise your heart rate 8 times for very short bursts, with a cooling down period in between. Ideally you’ll be sprinting or cycling full throttle for 30 seconds with a 90 second cool down in between each outburst. This is the fastest way to lose fat and build muscle in the body. 2019518 tn?1328532621 I am 5'1" age 52, post menopauseal since 05, and I eat healthy at least 5 meals a day. I don't smoke or drink. I exercise 5 days a week early in the mornings I do tabata workouts on an empty stomach and and in the evenings I do 45 min. light to medium high reps weight workouts. However, I can't seem to lose body fat or at least it is quite slow in comming off. I know muscle weighs more. My tabata's leave me drenched.

Decreasing foot contact time with the ground makes you feel lighter on your feet and a smoother runner. Quicker leg turnover is necessary to compensate for your new, shorter stride length. Good runners take about 180 steps per minute, or 90 in 30 seconds. Count your number of strides for 30 seconds and try to hit 90 consistently. Add intensity to one workout per week.
