Avatar n tn during the night when i am sleeping i will wake up during the night and one or both of my arms will be asleep, sometimes to the point where i will have to grab the one that is asleep with the other arm to move it in a better position. I am a 34 yr male who works out 5 days a week and I am less than 15% body fat. I do cardio 3 to 4 times a week also.
Avatar m tn If anyone out there can relate, what do you think about this anxiety at night time? I appreciate any help.
Avatar f tn Well I get incredibly restless and a feeling of emptiness and kinda uselessness and I just can't stand to sit still (no pun intended). It's a lot worse at night. By about five o'clock when I get home I try to sit and watch TV, play video games, whatever, and I can't do it for more than 30 minutes max. I guess I'm looking for pointers on things I can do to distract myself or something?
Avatar f tn Anyway it is really embarrassing to go to a gym and my family gives me no support so I never do it at home. Where should I workout?? Should I just tough trough it and get a gym membership? The problem is there has to be a gym that is open at 11 since that would be my only time to workout. What should I do? Should I just continue to do vigorous house work and walking the dog? Or should I just get a gym membership? Thanks I appreciate it!
Avatar f tn I want to lose at least 50 pounds eventually, but I am taking it 5 pounds at a time! Lately I've been working on eating healthy and I built up a good amount of discipline and knowledge about what I should and should not be eating. Now Im trying to work out and burn at least 300 calories a day. I am not in shape at all (a 10 minute brisk walk wears me out) and was wondeeing if anyone had workout ideas for me??
Avatar n tn I have been waking up at night with high heart rate. Right before I wake up I recall somethings I am concerned about, which cause stress. I am a 50 year old male. I went to urget care, they got an ekg and it was normal. They refereed me to an ear nose throat Dr. for follow up, and they said to follow up with them if it persists. I am not buying a heart rate monitor that can save the data so I can share it with the Dr. I like to exercise, and lately been lifting more than I usually do.
Avatar f tn Swimming is really the best workout when pregnant. I personally stopped swimming (because it's quite expensive here) when we got a dog when I was 4 months pregnant so now I'm still walking 2-3 hours everyday at 37 weeks pregnant and I've gained about 28 lbs (I'm quite tall). Hope you find something that works for you!
Avatar f tn I worked out 4-56 times a week and now I can barely get 3 workouts in. I even made a schedule for a specific pregnancy workout I found on pinterest and walking and elliptical. We just have to listen to our bodies I guess! I felt Bette when I went to the doctor today because they told me to work out 3 maybe 4 days a week and only for a maximum 20 min..
Avatar n tn What do you ladies do for workouts while pregnant? Any schedules or specifics you follow? Any good advice? Im really trying to keep my body in shape.
Avatar n tn I want to workout my abs and thighs. Any workouts that you have in mind to help me workout?
Avatar f tn My only suggestion is to go with what motivates you more. If you're too tired at night your energy and enthusiasm may lack, if that is the case than maybe do morning. Everyone is different, I'm a morning workout person and feel I get the most out of my workouts in the morning and it sure starts my day off with a positive attitude as well as gives me energy throughout the day........
Avatar f tn It can grow back.
1292438 tn?1276120904 Physiologists at the Mayo Clinic determined that leg extensions place significantly more stress on your knees than squats. Why? Because the resistance is placed near your ankles, which leads to high amounts of torque being applied to your knee joint every time you lower the weight. What’s more, Auburn University scientists found that people who squat long-term have tighter, stronger knee ligaments than those who don’t squat at all.
Avatar f tn I'm used to working out every day..I used to do INSANITY and P90X but ever since I found out I'm pregnant, I've been nauseous and so exhausted that I've hardly worked out at all. I'm a couple weeks away from my 2nd trimester so I'm hoping to start working out again. Anyone on here working out while pregnant? What kinds of workouts are best?
Avatar f tn Walking for the first 6 weeks at least.
Avatar f tn I usually stop situps and hard ab workouts at the 2nd semester. You want those muscles strong, but not inflamed. Light plank holds and exercise ball workouts are good. Plus I find its really easy to oull an ab with all the relaxin and round ligament pain. Let you abs relax drink something with some sugar and see if he gets moving around again.
Avatar m tn This has really been bothering me and tbh, anxiety most likely also has played a role in this as well. I get extremely worried especially at night when it feels like my arms and legs are possessed and being controlled. Anyways, if anyone can please help me that would be great.
Avatar f tn I've been having problems with working out too. I'm 26 weeks with twins, I've been swimming but the last two times I had cramping for several hours afterward. I don't want to stop so I'm just going to take it way easier and listen to my body. Although last night in bed I did have very strong cramping that lasted about a minute and came on every 5 minutes about three times. I hope it's normal and my Dr doesn't tell me to stop working out all together.
Avatar m tn thanks Barb. Well that would mean 2 hrs before I can even work out in the morning. I mean, if I first take synth. Then wait and hour, then eat, then wait another hour to work out... hmmmmm. I heard people can take it at night, or rather some do, but what would be considered an empty stomach..?
Avatar f tn Does anyone know of any safe workouts i vould do while prego?im 2mnths and i know eating has alot to do with it but ive tried to keep on track with eating but this baby wants me to eat or it makes me so grouchy lol...plz help!
Avatar f tn re already active it is fine to keep doing your regular workouts.. just monitor your heart rate, try not to get above 150. I asked her if boot camp classes and spin is still okay (by two favorite) she said as long and I'm monitoring I can do whatever I feel like as long as it is safe and I am not over heating (no more kick boxing).
Avatar f tn I always gain weight at legs. I want to lose pounds and make them more toned. Any idea?
Avatar f tn Hey guys, I've been wanting to become more active because I want to be healthy for my little man and myself. I did workout daily before I became pregnant, but went into a depression mode and stopped. I'm currently 25 weeks and was just wondering what some safe workouts would be and what is a good amount to walk everyday? Thank you!
10233378 tn?1427161882 I'm 6 weeks and 2 days and I was just curious on what workouts are good while you're pregnant? I'm not working right now so I have plenty of time to work out but don't want to do anything excessive and I don't want to be a couch potato my whole pregnancy lol. Any ideas are appreciated!
