Avatar f tn //www.pbfingers.com/2012/01/15/at-home-workouts/ check out these that you can do at home. Combine with 30 min of cardio (walking , running etc.). Repeat at night too. Aim for a total a of 5 miles of running or walking (treadmill or elliptical -whichever really) by the end of each day. It's hard, but the best part is when you get used to it! Making working out a hobby or habit is central to maintaining weight loss.
15347008 tn?1446268459 Any tips for easy and safe diets? I am at my heaviest I had been in a long time and I hate it. Any tips?
Avatar f tn Anyway it is really embarrassing to go to a gym and my family gives me no support so I never do it at home. Where should I workout?? Should I just tough trough it and get a gym membership? The problem is there has to be a gym that is open at 11 since that would be my only time to workout. What should I do? Should I just continue to do vigorous house work and walking the dog? Or should I just get a gym membership? Thanks I appreciate it!
Avatar f tn I want to lose at least 50 pounds eventually, but I am taking it 5 pounds at a time! Lately I've been working on eating healthy and I built up a good amount of discipline and knowledge about what I should and should not be eating. Now Im trying to work out and burn at least 300 calories a day. I am not in shape at all (a 10 minute brisk walk wears me out) and was wondeeing if anyone had workout ideas for me??
Avatar f tn Swimming is really the best workout when pregnant. I personally stopped swimming (because it's quite expensive here) when we got a dog when I was 4 months pregnant so now I'm still walking 2-3 hours everyday at 37 weeks pregnant and I've gained about 28 lbs (I'm quite tall). Hope you find something that works for you!
Avatar f tn Yes as you may know C section may play a bigger role than you think since some of the muscles need to get stretched to accommodate the baby. As you may know Yoga workouts and core workouts are important but you need to activate specify muscles around your waist. Those muscles are named the oblique muscles. The muscles need to be strong, activated so when you start dropping body fat you will see how your waist drops significantly.
Avatar m tn Heavy free weights---like barbells and dumbbells---help stress the muscles so that they must repair and build up bigger and stronger. Be sure to supplement your workouts with adequate nutrition to be sure you are not creating a calorie deficit through exercise.
Avatar f tn I worked out 4-56 times a week and now I can barely get 3 workouts in. I even made a schedule for a specific pregnancy workout I found on pinterest and walking and elliptical. We just have to listen to our bodies I guess! I felt Bette when I went to the doctor today because they told me to work out 3 maybe 4 days a week and only for a maximum 20 min..
Avatar n tn What do you ladies do for workouts while pregnant? Any schedules or specifics you follow? Any good advice? Im really trying to keep my body in shape.
Avatar n tn I want to workout my abs and thighs. Any workouts that you have in mind to help me workout?
1292438 tn?1276120904 Physiologists at the Mayo Clinic determined that leg extensions place significantly more stress on your knees than squats. Why? Because the resistance is placed near your ankles, which leads to high amounts of torque being applied to your knee joint every time you lower the weight. What’s more, Auburn University scientists found that people who squat long-term have tighter, stronger knee ligaments than those who don’t squat at all.
Avatar f tn I'm used to working out every day..I used to do INSANITY and P90X but ever since I found out I'm pregnant, I've been nauseous and so exhausted that I've hardly worked out at all. I'm a couple weeks away from my 2nd trimester so I'm hoping to start working out again. Anyone on here working out while pregnant? What kinds of workouts are best?

I asked her if boot camp classes and spin is still okay (by two favorite) she said as long and I'm monitoring I can do whatever I feel like as long as it is safe and I am not over heating (no more kick boxing).

Avatar f tn Hello, I'm expecting my second girl at the end of April. I've just seen red spotting and am a tad nervous as I did not get spotting till 39weeks with my first daughter, n was brown with mucus. Now this is red with no mucus, I have cramping but nothing out of the usual.. Has got me a little worried. I know that not all pregnancies are the same. Anyone experience anything alike?
