Common Questions and Answers about Workout your arms

exercise

Avatar f tn so it is really important that you work your core, your legs, your arms and flexibility exercises. Avoid exercising at a high intensity since it is not that clear that will produce postiive results if you are pregnant. for more information about exercise and pregnancy or if you want me to help you let me know! thanks!
Avatar f tn it doesn't depend if you do your exercise to full or to empty stomach, just do the one which is better for you. I like to eat one banana before I go for a run. And you need to run like for 30minutes per day 6 times per week. So you can have one rest day. And after running do some push ups, pull ups, abbs and squats! That will help you:) and remember to eat healthy, your condition and weight losing depends a lot about what you eat. So eat good fats (avocado, nuts) and proteins!
Avatar n tn if working out your back muscles and arms during a day, do your rows and pulldowns Before you do biceps. There's fairly good support for working out each muscle group twice a week. Some people do splits (working out certain muscle groups on certain days of the week), others do a full body workout when they lift--I would recommend splits to maximize protein synthesis and recovery.
Avatar n tn For the last 4 years ive noticed when i work out i am very overcome by nuesea and i feel shaky in my arms and legs. This occurs even after a 5 minute workout. After sitting and relaxing i feel better in about 30 minutes. Ive recently came across hyperthyroidism while on google and i am not trying to self diagnose but i filled out the checklist and i have just about every symptom but hair thinning.
Avatar f tn Within the first 24 hours of your workout, you might be kind of sore. This is normal--your workout created little tears in your muscles and they need to repair. This is when you rest. You can still go to the gym, as long as you don't exercise those muscles that you focused on yesterday. 24-48 hours after your workout, Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness will set in. This pain will make you LAUGH at the first day's soreness.
Avatar m tn He told me to hold my thumb and arms length and then slowly bring it forward until the boundary where it starts getting a little unclear (he said make sure it's not double vision). Then stare off at a farsighted area for a little. Repeat. First he told me just to do this for a couple minutes a day. When I went back to him and I told him it hadn't helped yet he said that I should have been doing it for 4-5 minutes 3x a day.
Avatar f tn Exercise-Ball Crunches Sit on top of an exercise ball with your knees bent and both feet flat on the floor. Cross your arms over your chest. Brace your abdominal muscles and lean back. Then, use your ab muscles to pull your upper body back up to a seated position. Reverse Crunches Lie on your back with your knees bent to 90 degrees and positioned over your hips and your shins parallel to the floor. Extend your arms out to a "T" shape, palms touching the floor.
Avatar m tn You may need to back off of the number of sets since you are just starting out. Or your order may be off ie don't work your biceps on day 1 if you are going to work your back on day 2 because most of the back exercises also use your biceps as a supporting muscle, and if your arms are sore you won't get far.

Avatar m tn Hi, i am a 20 year old female and for many years i have noticed prominent veins showing in my arms and hands. I really dislike them and so i always try to cover my arms up. I am naturally slim and do not workout, some people believe working out can cause these veins to show. Is there anything i can do?
Avatar f tn all itchy arm sufferers....please look into brachioradial pruritus. My arms, and only my arms, have itched for 10 years. no rashes, no psiorias, excema etc. The creams, allergery pills..my list is extensive as to what I have tried but nothing worked. ---------------The only thing that helps are ice packs.
Avatar f tn In the last few months I have been getting a sudden weakness in both arms. It comes on suddenly and lasts a maximum of 5 minutes. When it happens I cannot lift anything. I feel so weak that I have to sit or lie down until it passes. This week it hit me twice. Before these 2 incidents, the last time this happened was a month ago and before that was probably another month (2 times in a week). The sensation is from the shoulders down to my hands. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn I am sorry, but I am not sure what could be causing your discomfort. Have you changed your workout? Has something changed in your activity level at work or at home?
Avatar f tn and if have an access to a barbell or dumbell a few workout sessions would help tighten those arms of yours.. all it takes is the will.. someday youll have arms that evny others...
Avatar n tn I hate to say this, but your stomach is the last of it that will go. Your body loses in layers from all over. your best way to lose weight is to lift a really light, example 3-5 lbs. with alot of reps. (15-30). The stationary bike will also be benefical for your goals. best of luck to a journey of good health.
594189 tn?1386920207 You can also buy some dumbbells to keep at work and work your upper body. Sit-ups, too, can be done in a chair! Keep your abs in and your back flat. It takes some practice to isolate your abs and NOT use your neck to raise yourself, but I taught seniors to do this. The other way to work abs from a chair is to sit back in the chair, once again with your back straight as a board and your bottom toward the edge of the chair. Slowly and with control, raise your legs and lower them.
Avatar n tn to the gym everyday beside the weekends he works out hard core with his buddies and I do hip abduction witch strengthen your hips (good for labor ) lol and I walk on.the trendmill for 20-30 mins what about you mommas ??
Avatar f tn Hello! If your BMI is below 25 it is considered normal. There is nothing much to worry if your present weight is 150 pounds as for your height of 5' 4" you are having a BMI of 25.7. Rule out endocrine disorders, stop medication after consulting your psychiatrist if you do not have any present symptoms of anxiety. Eat healthy and continue cardio and gradually you will lose some pounds. You have to increase the time and intensity of your cardio and stick to 1500 calories per day.
Avatar f tn Basically, your keeping your weight at bay by doing everything your doing. Thinking of changing the medication, or even better if it works, stopping the medication and controlling the anxiety naturally would be the way to go. If you are one of those rare people that absolutely NEED medication, you will know it once you give a serious effort to do it naturally and can go back on it, just maybe one that is not so bad with weight gain.
Avatar n tn Many people curl up their hands and wrists while asleep and when you have carpal tunnel curling/bending your wrists will entrap the nerve and cause your hands to fall asleep. Also, do not put pressure your ELBOWS, wrist, and arms during the day!! Don't lean on yours or elbows on the arm of chairs, or rest them on your desk or table when your type or eat. Being HYPO causes carpal tunnel.
Avatar m tn After 3 weeks of heavy training i was having mild symptoms of dizziness and stiffness in my neck region plus mild numbness tingly feeling in my arms which goes to my index finger and thumb. My arms are not always numb or tingly but it comes and goes specially after a workout or at night. These things have been bothering me since a week now. I also noticed in past week that overhead exercises bothers me. I stopped weight training for now and doing only Cardio. I never had such issues before.
Avatar f tn It is an inflammatory disorder that causes widespread muscle aching and stiffness, primarily in your neck, shoulders, upper arms, thighs and hips. It literally appears overnight, but the cause may be a problem with the immune system, perhaps involving both genetic and environmental factors. It can be diagnosed by ESR blood, platelet count and Rheumatoid factor(to rule out Rheumatoid arthritis) Secondly, it can be due to multiple sclerosis.
Avatar n tn A rheumatological evalution and bloodwork may be helpful. Talk to your PCP about your concerns and the possibility of getting a consult with rheumatology, more Xrays, and an EMG. If he/she is having trouble figuring out what's going on, the input from further testing and a rheumatologist may be helpful.
Avatar n tn They appear when you workout because they don't like the sweat and come out on ur arms. Start washing clothes, sheets, and vacuuming carpets. Flea powder ur car as well. These are nasty little things and hard to get rid of. Your probably a little itchy as well I bet?
Avatar m tn I have been searching online for some time on this topic to see if others had this same issue. I have never been able to fully straighten my arms. This was not due to an injury, both arms are the exact same way. I am unsure if I was born this way, but I remember being a child and kids saying that I "walked like a robot" due to my arms. I also remember high school weight lifting coaches thinking I was not fully extending when I worked out, but it was because I couldn't.
Avatar f tn ) But I would definitely consult a doctor because we are all different and they know best.
682891 tn?1226696230 I would say to just check with your doctor. Maybe you are somehow jerking your head when you sneeze and that hurts you. You could also try an antihistamine, something like Claritin, to stop the sneezing.
723764 tn?1263239189 So thats a good start. I am payin for in right now in the arms, I worked them hard with the weights, even though I only did 30 lbs.
