Avatar f tn I've been exercising a lot for the past year.My friend does the same workout as I do, but her body shows a lot more changes than mine.. Am I doing something wrong?
Avatar f tn Yup, it's completely fine to jog. My doctor told me to stay as active as possible because in her words "you wouldn't run a marathon without working out first, right?" That's what she compares labor to the extent of running a marathon. Just make sure to stay hydrated.
Avatar f tn I had the sharp pains in my 2nd trimester without exercising much. Its the ligaments stretching and i think my little bub was kicking a nerve. I didnt have pressure. Email or call your doc just in case.
Avatar f tn I ate low fat/ no fat and drank 3 Liters of water a day and did a 30 minute Taebo workout Monday through Friday. I had a baby and gained 120lbs and didn't really change anything. I was 249 when I delivered and now I'm 175lbs and I have been trying to get the rest of the weight off. I am wanting to lose another 40lbs and nothing seems to work. I thought it might have something to do with having my gallbladder removed three years ago.
Avatar m tn Thought so and thank you for the link :D
Avatar n tn I wanted to know of anyone goes through this as well. After every workout I spot. Sometimes I get cramps. Most of the time I don't. I hate the spotting but have learned to see it as normal. Is it normal? I'm 22. I would say I'm in good health. I used to jog 4 miles daily. 2 or 4 miles I spot anyway. Does this happen to anyone else?
Avatar f tn abs, legs, biceps, chest, or back). So every day I'm doing machines for one area plus the cardio (jogging or eliptical). Like I said I've been disciplined and going every day, but I'm getting discouraged because I don't see my body changing.. I realize its only been a month but I am at it every single day, shouldn't I be seeing some results? My diet is healthy too, I have low blood sugar so I eat tons of protein.
Avatar f tn @shelbyhower yes! Lol I want to feel my workout and see results and with yoga I feel like its a lot of awkward movement and then I'm done... and I'm like but where's the burn? Lol.
Avatar f tn As for cardiovascular training, if your workout interest is simply cardiovascular fitness without concern for weight loss, then 30 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic exercise five days per week. Now after 40 minutes of aerobic exercise then your body changes to getting mostly fat for fuel. If fat metabolism and weight loss is your goal, then 60 to 90 minutes of daily exercise could be necessary.
Avatar f tn I need a good workout plan for me without having to visit a gym. Are there any good, trustworthy and up-to-date sites that I can save to keep going back to do these exercises over and over each day? Or would anyone have any suggestions on where to begin?
Avatar f tn A good thyroid doctor will treat a hypothyroid patient clinically, by testing and adjusting Free T4 and Free T3 as needed to relieve symptoms, without being influenced by resultant TSH levels. Symptom relief should be all important, not just test results, and especially not TSH results. You have a number of symptoms of hypothyroidism, and I would like to also assess your Free T4 and Free T3 against their reference ranges shown on the lab report. So please post those.
Avatar n tn Could you please tell me if ,based on my results posted in the below question, I could work out if I'm a HBV carrier? I've heard that it'd not be indicated to work out if you got Hept B because the liver needs to do extra work if your body is subject to physical effort. And, since the HBV attacks the liver it'd be recommended to let the liver rest as much as possible. What do you think? Thanks.
Avatar f tn As long as you are losing the weight the healthy way, you will get the results you want, without gaining it back. Don't give up! You can do it!
Avatar f tn How does everyone workout everyday to stay fit? I am a FTM and I want to stay fit and not lay around the house everyday gaining weight. So can y'all help me ? Please .
Avatar f tn I really recommend pregnancy yoga in your 2nd and 3rd trimester, before that aqua aerobics, swimming, normal yoga and Pilates, gym workout, light jog, stationary bike and cross trainer, anything really as long as you are feeling well and comfortable doing it.

Avatar n tn It's like I do want what's best for me &' I know what to do. I have the things I need in order to complete my workouts, it just I have this feeling like I don't want to. It's crazy because this whole time I've been so eager to workout and so motivated but these past days, I just press the snooze button, I skip my workout &' I have ALL OF THESE REMINDERS for me to workout and yet I don't even put effort into it.
520691 tn?1213961844 I was diagnosed just a month ago. There is a book called "Androgen disorders in Women." It was written by Theresa Cheung. Its all about PCOS and the different treatment options. It also explains your symptoms and helps you understand what is going on. I highly recommend it. I have heard that metformin really helps. But it is not standard of care or approved by the FDA yet. Although there are many doctors who are using it and it is effective.
Avatar f tn did you change your diet or something? is there any change in workout? If you are loosing muscle, without any change in your diet, lifestyle and workout, you should check your blood tests.
Business woman1 I advise my patients with similar complaints to start low intensity muscle toning (reps using 15-20 lbs 3 days a week) and upper body aerobic exercise 1-2x weekly (ie swimming, eliptical). Hiring a personal trainer may also give you the structure and guidance that will help you achieve your goal but without sustaining an injury. But the results can be slow (ie 3-6 months) Hope this helps!
Avatar n tn My orthopedist is out of town so my follow up appointment to review my MRI results is not for another two weeks. I was hoping someone might be able to help me make sense of these results.
