9062363 tn?1402521075 Yes squats are good. You can get one of those step things, light weights like 5-10 lbs, a birthing ball is great its the same as one of those big gym balls 9$ at walmart, and dancing. You can look up dancing workout videos on YouTube or Netflix.

My problem is that if it is longer than like 20 minutes I get bored and annoyed so I quit. I want something that is no longer than 20 minutes a day. I was looking at a package that had a big ball in it, a toning ring, 3lbs. soft weights, and a some bands that you streach out but it was $40 and I just didn't know if that was worth it.

1413587 tn?1289659823 Typically they are the FIRM videos with weights. Until about mid-June I was usually doing a 20-50 min. workout 4 times a week with no problems. Now, almost every time I exercise I feel weaker than I used to and afterward I am so spent. Later in the evening I have a lot of leg twitching and then find it hard to sleep because my legs feel so tight and achy. Could this be MS related and if so is it normal?

I am very happy about this, but are there limits to what he should be allowed to do? I am reluctant to hand over the weights for curls, etc. I don't want him to injure himself! I want to to encourage his interest in fitness, so we let him stretch out with us & he does the situps & push ups with us. He is healthy, though a bit weak in upper body strength, & pretty active.

My doc told me exercise as tolerated, modify T make things more comfortable as required. I usually workout 5 days/week. Something different everyday. Typical week is one day of each of the following: yoga, running, T 25 or easier insanity video, hike, elliptical/weights/gym workout.
Avatar f tn I use this app to get a full body workout "Daily Workouts" it also have workouts for abs, arms, butt, legs, cardio & it also have a yoga app with it.........it's a gym and yoga class workout but you can stay home........I've downloaded "Daily Workout Full" and "Simply Yoga"......
Avatar f tn I definitely would not start an intense workout regimine. But you could do light hand weights for your arms, 5lb probably, and leg lifts, squats, lunges, the plank for legs. Assuming your doctor approves and you are not high risk. Exercise definitely does help you feel better just don't overdo it.
Avatar f tn Lots of walking and a lot of yoga! There's videos for exercises for first trimester, 2nd trimester, and 3rd. You could also check with your doctor to see what works best for you and just a heads up if you start doing this early in your pregnancy it shouldn't be hard as you get bigger! Good luck!

Avatar m tn t do it regularly, try to at least go for a jog around your block once or twice a week or do workout videos (like the well-known P90X videos) that are quick to whip you into shape at home. As for meal plans, combining complex carbs and protein is your best bet for gaining muscle.
Avatar m tn You need to lift heavy weights. Keep your reps between 6-10, no more. Light weights don't do anything at all except give you a cardio workout. You also need to be eating to gain mass!
Avatar f tn Working out is easy for me because I love how it makes me feel. Going shopping to get a cool gym outfit. Making an awesome workout playlist for my iPod. I've never been the type of person to workout with someone else, but you might feel better going to the gym if you have a friend to go with. There should also be more than one gym in your town, you might even be able to find an all woman gym, but you can go to different gyms until you find one that feels the most comfortable.

Avatar f tn I often found it hard to get out for a walk or go to the gym so I bought the Jillian Micheals 30 Day Shred DVD. Great workout! I also bought her Shred it with Weights and 6 week Abs. They are all about 25 min long and I do it while the girls are in the same room playing or are eating a snack. All you need are light weights 3-8lbs and a mat if you dont have carpet. I have lost almost 30 pounds since the beginning of Jan. I have about 13 more pounds to go.
