Avatar f tn I generally keep on a regular workout regime and understand the basics of muscle recovery....stretch, hydrate, etc. The problem is my thighs. When I work out it takes twice as long to recover and it is extremely painful for the first couple days. Every other target area, I experience the natural recovery process. For example, I worked on the back/tricep and was pretty sore the second day, but moved pretty quickly from there. I get it - there is pain involved and it takes time.

Practice running uphill and downhill once a week. You gain explosive power surging uphill and you improve speed and stride rate flying down. After 30 minutes of jogging, choose a steep hill (about 100m) to run up and surge at a pace that feels like race pace. Jog to the bottom and repeat six to 10 times.

Back when I was 14-17 I would join my father in the gym, but his trainer gave me different things to do to just be fit and toned. I do have some equipment at my house and my husband works crazy hours so we can't just go to a gym. Plus, I would like to look semi-decent to be able to even show up at a gym. (Yea, I've let myself go that bad.

Avatar f tn I workout 3-5 times a week,usually dvds ,Rocking Body by Shaun T,turbo jam or biggest losers walk .if the weather permits I also walk outside. My body frame is pear shaped,my weight goes directly to my hips and rump ! Could you give me some healthy eating tips ,I'm also interested in eating clean, and some additional exercises if possible.
Avatar f tn Walk after every meal , squats , lift 5 pound weights (no more than that) its easier said than done..........I tried to stay in shape I failed lol I have been extremely tired and craving sweets like crazy!

My left arm takes a long time to untighten lets say and is not 100% (had a lymph node removed./cancer on the left). My Dr. said like a guitar string pull and he was right. I had been working out alot ureing the expander stage but uneasy about how to get back to the swing of things.

Avatar m tn Ablation on Thursday, went for a walk on Friday, to the gym on Sunday for a light workout. Was back running and weight training on Wednesday. I think recovery depends a lot on the extent of the procedure. Mine only took 2 hrs and I didn't require a lot of meds.
