I'm always looking for more bands and music in the genres I like to listen to and it's always fun to see who listens to what because sometimes it can be surprising (like most people assume I like pop by looking at me but I actually rock out to alternative Christian music).
1580828 tn?1322128022 I am having trouble with coming up with an alternative cardio workout. I have vertigo and I would normally jump on the recumbent bike. However, I am currently suffering from a bulging disk between L5 & L6. This of course has aggrevated the sciatic nerve which makes sitting nearly impossible. I have been trying to figure out a way to keep my cardio going while I work on re-strenghtening my core and heal. Because of the vertigo, walking is out of the question.

We played for two hours last night and today I am sore all over. I used muscles I didn't even remember I had!!! Plus it has a workout routine that will tell you how many calories you have burned by the end of the routine! I loved this!!!

Avatar f tn It's important to remember there's no way to choose where weight loss happens. What you can do is workout these specific areas, this will give them an overall toned appearance and they'll seem slimmer. If you want to lose weight you should make a lifestyle change : eat healthier ( this doesn't mean less), be more active ( if not going to the gym or signing up for a sport/class, you can choose to take the stairs or walk rather than the alternative).

Avatar f tn Absolutely ;) I'd put mine in sweat mode songs to work harder and was doing it constantly for about 3wks anywhere from 1 1/2 to 3hrs (split up throughout the day) I dropped ten pounds in 2wks and felt great. Definitely can't wait to get back into that routine once I get some energy!!! Dancing to the wii is moving muscles and that's a workout in it's self.

Though hypothyroidism is associated with some amount of myopathy in some individuals; since you have not mentioned any rheumatological, ortho or neuro-muscular condition, I assume you are otherwise fit.

Avatar f tn That would usually mean how vigorous it is as far as cardio workout. Someone who is in shape can exercise vigorously, but somebody who has not been getting any real exercise will need to start out with an easier program. Somebody in between can work out at a moderate pace. Everybody should exercise a minimum of 3 days a week to make any gains at all, and it really takes at least four to see fast results.

I also have sublinqual nitro that is fast acting and useful for immediate relief if there is angina....almost never necessary. I have never tried a patch...is there a special benefit? With a nitrate (slow acting) one can build up a tolerance, so it is necessary to have intervals without.

Avatar n tn Im 35/male I've been having shortness of breath with exertion, and I had an episode of bad chest pain following a 30 minute workout...I am theoretically in decent shape even though I'm 40 pounds overweight I still workout regularly, I guess I just eat too many calories... Anyway, I don't have any insurance and have to "take what they give me" so I was given a resting echocradiogram, labs, chest x-ray, and a regular stress test.
