Avatar f tn It's possible that you're at a plateau, where your metabolism has adjusted to your caloric intake and your exercise level. Try changing your workout routines around to "trick" your body. You might also be retaining fluids a bit. You might also try getting a body fat percentage done to see if you're already as lean as you can reasonably get. If you are, no amount of dieting or exercise will change your weight very much.
505857 tn?1329681517 t have a lot of confidence, has anyone else found this class a good weight loss class? Will i manage some of the routines being overweight?
Avatar n tn Are you losing weight at all? The best way to keep weight off is to lose a bit at a time so it stays off, and you don't say if you're getting anywhere or getting nowhere. I would ask, if this exercise is new to you, meaning you weren't doing this before, do you notice anything positive happening in the shape of your body?
Avatar f tn Let your body recover. Relax. It took nine months for your uterus to grow that big. It will take a heck of a lot more than a week for your abdominal organs to return to their proper size and location. Stay hydrated and start gently getting yourself into a routine of taking walks a few times a week. Don't start drastic diets or trying to force things back in place with constrictive clothing, don't start any crazy workout routines.
Avatar f tn Hello all! I just had a baby 3 weeks ago, dropped down to my pre pregnancy weight but of course need to tighten my stomach and hoping to lose about 20 pounds. Any pointers? Really wanting the tight stomach back!!!! Any help would be great!

However, i've been trying to get he last half a stone off for about 3 months now with no luck. i was consuming 1500 calories a day and about 300 calories a day at gym lost about 2 pounds and got stuck on this.
Avatar f tn Hi I too have asthma and when ever I do any exercise I have a flareup. I have found that if I take my rescue inhaler before I do any exercise I either don't get a flareup or it is really small. Also I don't do any exercise if my chest is tight in the morning or I am sick at all. Also if you know weather affects you then be aware of that. I can't exercise outside if it is too windy, too hot, or cold. Also exercise isn't all about cardio.
Avatar f tn Losing weight slowly is the best way to avoid the lose skin that often comes with losing a lot of weight, because it gives your skin a chance to "shrink" with the rest of your body. There may be some lotions/creams you can try that might help tighten your skin, but there's no guarantee on that.
Avatar f tn I do cardio kickboxung twice a week followed by body sculpting that involves light weights (8-10lb weights) that's on tuesday and Thursdays. Wednesdays I usually take my dogs for long walks. I'm a hair dresser so the other days I'm working and am too exhausted and sore to do anything else as of right now. Keep exercising it's good for both of you.
Avatar f tn i desperately want to lose weight and tone up. finding it hard to keep up exercising.
1543882 tn?1293417476 t buy into fad dieting or excercising routines. Weight Watchers is a great program, if you can afford it I would suggest starting there and starting to make healthier life style choices. Another thing is to watch out for the week or so that you don't lose weight. Don't get discouraged. Your body is making changes and it is just as hard for your body as it it for you. Drink plenty of water, and don't fall temptation to craving binges.
Avatar n tn You have to eat less calories than you use or you won't lose weight. Cutting calories is necessary, but you also have to eat the right things. I agree with cutting out sugar and other simple carbs and processed foods, along with adding more healthful fats and lean proteins. There's no need to cut gluten unless you're intolerant or allergic to it...
958098 tn?1246809218 I'm 14 and I really need to lose weight. I have tried going on a diet and not eating a lot, but that would be a bad thing to try now that I'm PMSing. I always fail at dieting. Anyways, does anybody have some exercises or suggestions on how to lose weight at home. I also currently have a broken wrist, so nothing that will affect that. Also, I am not gonna go to any type of gym or anything and I don't really wanna do anything around the neighborhood because there are bad people around.

486919 tn?1280184140 I take meds and supplements everyday....some of them, I like to miss a day or two so I can watch for buildup...can you make a tracker for that....and also, if possible...make the tracker adjustable for my routines. I like that all i have to do is check them, i wish i could switch them for my personal routine. Example: it has weight lifting, but I don't weight lift, i do a 10 minute workout that changes everyday...or put a box where i can put what i want....

Avatar f tn You will get a better workout from a rower! It's not difficult to learn the proper technique. Your not going to get ripped either. to really build muscle you need to do strength training. Try either going to a gym and ask about learning the technique. google classes in your area that teach rowing.
