Avatar f tn Okay so I can't go to the gym. I get really bad anxiety, like I'll go to walk through the door and start crying. I've always been this way. I walk an hour a day but I'm trying to get in shape and loose 10lbs for vacation in August.
Avatar n tn I wouldnt go to the gym. Grab a step stool and maybe some 1 lb. Weights and throw on some good music.
Avatar f tn I am trying to decide on a home exercise machine. I would like either and elliptical or a water rowing machine. I have researched both and tested out ellipticals. Rowing machines are a little harder to find. I know an elliptical will be good for cardio but will it also help build muscle?
505857 tn?1329681517 I'm thinking of starting body jam classes in a few weeks as i like dancing and feel this would be a good form of exercise, the only thing is i'm obese in weight and don't have a lot of confidence, has anyone else found this class a good weight loss class? Will i manage some of the routines being overweight?
Avatar f tn have you change up your exercise routines at all? i know you said you've up your calorie intake, but also at the same time is burning more calories. sometimes when your body is so used to doing the same thing for a long time, things become pretty easy and your body doesn't have to work as hard. i say you're probably at that plateau state. that can be tough especially when you've worked so hard and know you're still working hard to lose those last few pounds.
Avatar f tn I also am still going to the gym. I am 16 weeks and 5 days. I go on the eliptical, bike and walk on the treadmill.
637356 tn?1301924822 I ordered the Zumba work out set and am waiting for them to come in. I am very excited about them... My question is has anyone heard of this exercise or tried it before?
973741 tn?1342342773 I do them on my computer most of the time, my computer is in a big room so it's easiest, the videos I do can burn up to 1,000 calories in one workout!
Avatar f tn Hi I am 5 weeks, and I was wondering if I can go to the gym still?! I wasn't too faithful before I found out I was pregnant is it safe?
Avatar f tn Check the gym's class schedule and sign up for a beginner-level class. Many gyms have a wide selection of group classes that include yoga, aerobics, step aerobics and dance-style workouts such as Zumba. Joining a class for beginners can help if you feel unsure of how to proceed with your workout. Remember, you're likely not the only gym newbie in the class. As you exercise in a class, you might feel more confident and even find a future workout partner.
Avatar f tn I am almost 36 weeks and I have been working out the whole time. I did a very vigorous workout just today. It has only been in the last 2 weeks or so that I have cut my workouts down to 4 a week instead of 6 a week. Like the others have said just listen to your body. Some days my body just says no so I just pick it back up the next day. I truly believe that working out this whole time has made pregnancy so much easier.
7045779 tn?1394737965 Nope not at all! Im 18wks +3 so I'm in the same boat as you today I walked an hour and a half this morning.. While walking back home I did feel a little discomfort near my right ovary.. now i feel great! I'm just glad that I brought water with me to drink to keep me hydrated.
Avatar m tn I have made up my mind to try again, I figure I should go join the workout gym. I just want to know do you think this would be a good start, as well as using the thomas recipe items that I have from the last time. I have to start somewhere. Also, can someone please tell me what would be the best workout routines to start with? I know I wont have the energy, but Im willing to push....I have to. Last time i started by just walking the tracks, then jogging the tracks.
Avatar m tn Does anyone know what the one best workout or workouts I can do for my chest, arms to grow an inch or 2
Avatar f tn ve never been the type of person to workout with someone else, but you might feel better going to the gym if you have a friend to go with. There should also be more than one gym in your town, you might even be able to find an all woman gym, but you can go to different gyms until you find one that feels the most comfortable. Actually, you don't need to go to the gym to lose weight.
Avatar f tn I assume you are not working the same muscles every day!! You need to give the group of muscles worked a day of rest.
Avatar f tn I had a csection 2 months ago and my Dr told me I can go back to the gym and do whatever type of exercise i want but im not too shure about that... I know i cant lift anything heavy but can Run, zumba, etc?
Avatar f tn I really recommend pregnancy yoga in your 2nd and 3rd trimester, before that aqua aerobics, swimming, normal yoga and Pilates, gym workout, light jog, stationary bike and cross trainer, anything really as long as you are feeling well and comfortable doing it.
Avatar m tn Yesterday I was at LA Fitness gym, at the end of my workout a guy was asking me about the roundhouse karate kicks I do over the machines in between weight training sets. While I was explaining my workout routine to him I had a sense that he might be high on pain meds. He had this calm peaceful look with a faint smile and his eyes were glassy and a little red. I thought I might be imagining things because of my opiate experience and recently getting over a mild relapse.
Avatar f tn As long as it was something you did before you got pregnant and you dont push yourself too hard you should be fine! I'm 24wks+3 and still hit the gym for a workout or 2 each week. I do the same routines and exercises as before but toned back the intensity and weights. Even if you just jog in intervals? Say 30secs to 1 min at a time and walk the same to allow for recovery and rest! I find I tire easier so allow more time for rest.
Avatar f tn d blow it and need surgery whilst pregnant if I continued. ao I went from 3/4 days a week in gym and competitive sport to 3 ks a week in the pool. But unfortunately at 36 weeks I'm outta space in my abdomen and baby is sitting on random things. Ended up in the emergency dep yesterday with the pain. So no more exercise for me now. If ur not in pain, keep it up!!!
Avatar f tn I really feel motivated to exercise and workout the muscles that haven't been used in probably 8 years. lol! Back when I was 14-17 I would join my father in the gym, but his trainer gave me different things to do to just be fit and toned. I do have some equipment at my house and my husband works crazy hours so we can't just go to a gym. Plus, I would like to look semi-decent to be able to even show up at a gym. (Yea, I've let myself go that bad.
850661 tn?1245666056 I agree with Mumita you can do all of that except for the crunches. You could supplement with a modified crunch using a yoga ball. I learned some tricks in a prenatal class my gym offers. Chances are if your gym doesn't have a class like that the rec center in your area will. I think swimming is the best workout when your pregnant. When I go swimming I really feel all the muscles in my abdomen and sides stretch out it's a great workout and it's almost impossible to hurt yourself.
