Avatar f tn I do cardio kickboxung twice a week followed by body sculpting that involves light weights (8-10lb weights) that's on tuesday and Thursdays. Wednesdays I usually take my dogs for long walks. I'm a hair dresser so the other days I'm working and am too exhausted and sore to do anything else as of right now. Chest Incline barbell press - 3 sets, 6-10 reps Incline dumbell press - 3 sets, 6-10 reps Chest dips - 3 sets, 8-12 reps Biceps EZ bar curls - 3 sets, 6-8 reps Hammer curls (dumbbell or bar) - 3 sets, 8-10 reps Preacher curls with EZ bar - 2 sets, 6-8 reps (be careful on how far you extend your arms).

I try to mix up the following routines 3-4 days a week: walk 2-3 miles during lunch break at work with 3-5 lbs. hand weight, combo of walk/run 3 miles on treadmill varying the incline, 30-45 minutes on ellipital, tone arms/legs with 8-10 lb dumbells. I want to get back into Saturday morning zumba and cant wait to swim when our community pool opens on memorial day.
Avatar f tn By the way, I highly doubt my weight gain is due to increased muscle mass. It takes females a lot longer than a few weeks to gain enough muscle to account for weight gain especially while on a calorie deficit. I would appreciate any insightful tips. Thank you for reading.

Second, you say exercising but don't say what you're doing and you say light weights. Lifting the same amount of weight over and over is good exercise, but to get big bigger muscles you have to increase the amount you're lifting.

As long as the workout isn't too dangerous and your pregnancy isn't high risk, but you always need to check with your doctor first.
