Common Questions and Answers about Workout plans iron gym

Avatar m tn And I have a membership at my local gym. However, that doesn't help the question of setting up an actual exercise program to make the gym time more than "pick whatever looks good", a major problem of mine at the moment; from what I can tell, my health insurance doesn't cover a physical trainer, and I don't quite have -that- kind of money, so I'm falling back on finding whatever I can online. But I can find pretty much nothing. I don't know, actually, where to begin.
Avatar n tn i always thought of the shaking as due to my liking to be rocked to sleep by myself but now realize it could be due to low iron. thalassemics have low iron. i also had a psychotic break at age 20. i dont think this has to do with thalassemia but the constant fatigue may have led to deep depression.
Avatar n tn I take the plain B-12 once every three weeks and I take phen daily along with a iron pill. I received my first shot Feb 3. I weighed in at 193. When I received my second shot on Feb 23 I weighed 175. So in those three weeks I lost 18lbs. I dont weigh myself in between visits. My next appointment is March 16, so I will see what happens then.
Avatar n tn After 4 kids and one set of twins I have had difficulty getting the weight off and B12 is the ONLY thing that worked for me so far. I have had numerous gym memberships and spent many hours at the gym and I would lose a little and gain a little but minimal results were not motivation enough to keep it up. B12 really worked well for me I lost 62 lbs in 4 months.
Avatar n tn low potassium blood levels (hypokalemia), gout, a certain blood disorder (polycythemia vera), a certain eye disease (Leber's disease), other vitamin/mineral deficiencies (especially folic acid and iron). This product may contain aluminum, which can infrequently build up to dangerous levels in the body. The risk may be increased if this product is used for an extended time, especially in newborns or in people with kidney disease.
Avatar f tn and am dizzy and need to take B12, and Iron because of the blood loss. I'm always tired... and just feel drained, all the time. I still work out... I go to school now. I’ve kept all of this from my friends, due to the fact that I despise being a pity case… and many peoples more than judgmental views against IUD’s. I’ve told one or two people, only to be treated as if I DESERVE to bleed constantly.
Avatar n tn I was so worn out and tired all the time. OB/GYN tested thyroid, iron, ultrasounds, you name it..all normal. He said that my body has to work very hard to replace the blood lost, which leaves me tired. Two weeks ago I had balloon thermal abaltion. I already feel better, which is something unexpected so soon! My family said it was like having the old me back.
777686 tn?1235808014 So what are your plans on detoxing? Are you going cold turkey like me, or are you doing a taper? I'm feeling better now than I was earlier. I'm at work right now; this morning was okay to start with, but then the cravings started coming, and they kept getting worse until my mind was consumed with the thought of "just one more time..." I even picked up my phone to call my dealer, but put it back down because I can't do this anymore.
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm not the only one who stays in the bedroom and makes plans that are never done! Thanks.
Avatar n tn Hi all. New to this. I am a 44 year old woman who is physically fit (gym 5 days a week) and eats pretty well. Approx 5 weeks ago I developed veins showing on both hands. They have not gone away and infact they are bulging most times, and I can "feel them". They have increased and I can see some starting to climb up my forearm now. Before this, my veins barely ever showed.
Avatar n tn I have gained 15 pounds in the last year, I go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week, I eat approx. 1300 - 1400 calories a day and I don't drink. I can only imagine if I really porked out and was drunk all the time.....well maybe I would feel better - ha! I'm just frustrated because I don't know what to do anymore. My dr. has no advice other than to tell me I'm getting older - WOW, really!!! I would love to have some ideas on what to do as it is extremely frustrating.
1225070 tn?1344712774 I decided after the 2nd m/c that I didn't have to quit making plans, dh and I laid in bed two nights ago and talked about what theme we were going with for the Nursery ( I have called that room the nursery since the 1st time we started ttc) and that has satisfied me for now.
590279 tn?1286339622 I am going to experiment with different types of coffee to see if there is a difference... but I may have to give it up all together. I have no plans to go back to the ibuprophens. Thats pretty scarry stuff. Good luck.
Avatar n tn After all of this, I finally decided to take control of the situation myself. I began an intense cardio workout program and lost weight. I changed my diet and did everything I could think of to become more healthy. At first I struggled with the conditioning and my own anxiety of losing my breath. The shortness of breath over the years had almost developed into a phobia of hard exercise. I hyperventilated many times in the beginning but after a few weeks I felt stronger and better.
Avatar n tn I also began taking three Omega3 capsules a day, a multi-vitamin and iron, and I drink about 80 ounces of water a day. I can't say for sure, but again, I think those have helped with the withdrawal as well. Lastly, I have been working out. It hasn't helped with weight, but psychologically, I think it has helped me deal with the withdrawal issues. I gained 40 pounds in the last 3 years (though I didn't know it was that much).
364326 tn?1222663473 Hot baths man, candels and mellow music (Iron and Wine) really got me through the first few days. My worst symptoms were on day 2-3, but don't give in even though you feel like its the only thing you can do.
Avatar n tn I was also getting ready to began my Therapy sessions but a day prior to my sessions I was in my home gym letting my dog in the house when my legs gave out, and BOTH TENDONS RERUPTURED. it was the most intense pain i have ever felt (i have shrapnel i my head from Iraq). I went back for surgery and this time the doctor said that he put wire around the tendon, so im still wondering how this is going to effect me long term.
Avatar f tn I guess I have been so used to fatigue through the years I did notice I really had more than usual. But anyway she wants me to take B-12 (1000mcg) and iron. The iron kind of freaks me out because all these years I've have tried to stay away from iron as not to hurt my liver. But she says it is how I will build my hemoglobin up. So I guess I will do it, just wanted to know if anyone else has heard of this and what you did.
Avatar m tn We had made love the night before, and discussed vacation plans in the hot tub that morning. Now shes gone! Turned off her phone and just gone..... I am concerned about my sobriety. Went to a meeting this morning, and I think it helped. I'm not sure if I just want to know "why", or if something else is going on.... Everyone here has always had my back, and I credit them every day for saving my life 3 years ago..... Please help me..................

Avatar n tn The only insurance I have is thru the Veteran's Administration so I can't choose a doctor who'll cooperate with my plans to try this regimen. I'd like to know if you had any hunger. I know that I have an almost constant gnawing hunger now. It will be nice to be free of that. I'm very pleased and heartened by your success. Please tell me how your friend's experience goes. I have heard lots of people talk about how much they've lost but its usually less than 30 pounds.
Avatar n tn I found that even on 10 mg of prednisone for 1 and a half months that I gained 7 lbs. This while exercising (ballet, cardio at gym, bike riding) about 5/7 days a week and eating around 1300 calories per day. 7 lbs may not sound like a lot, but when you are only 5 foot 2 it doesn't take much to get a pookey pouch. I"m tapering off this week and hope that these pounds will come off without too much trouble.
Avatar n tn It started for me about 3 months ago I was at the gym just tsrting a work out and felt a little week so I went into the locker to try and get a energy bar out of my locker and when I found my self in the locker room I all of the sudden started to feel the strangest sensations I had never felt before my back stared to sweat I was feelign even weaker and I could think about was hwo I was goign to get out of that locker room and into my car to feel safe.
Avatar n tn ) - Anyway I have been jogging 4 miles 3x/week + 1 hour of weights at the gym and have a trainer. - I can't lose any weight! I fluctuate between a loss of 1-2 lbs but thats it....The workouts have reduced my cholest. and my Thyroid is norm. - my mean blood glucose is 101.
Avatar f tn and of course the anticipatory anxiety gets worse the closer the outing gets. A LOT of people with agoraphobia cancel plans at the last minute...often making excuses because they are too embarassed to admit and to try to explain that they are afraid to basically leave their home. They are embarassed by it because it is hard to explain to someone without an anxiety disorder...and because we can rationally tell ourselves that there IS no real reason to be afraid.
