Avatar f tn Benefits of the elliptical trainer are movement of both the arms and legs, its low impact to the joints, and ease in adjusting the intensity settings. This machine provides an all body workout and is good as an active warm-up, particularly when your weight workout will consist of upper body movements. The stepmill in your gym. This machine uses an escalator-style platform to mimic the movement of climbing stairs. This workout can be fairly low impact, depending on the speed.
Avatar f tn I am trying to decide on a home exercise machine. I would like either and elliptical or a water rowing machine. I have researched both and tested out ellipticals. Rowing machines are a little harder to find. I know an elliptical will be good for cardio but will it also help build muscle?
Avatar m tn t feel like pushing at all, but I had to because I was in gym class to reach a certain point. So then my heart rate shot up to about 180 in less than a minute (i was on a workout machine... ellipticals to be precise... which is how i knew my heartrate), I thought that it was a symptom of anxiety (racing heartbeat) and didn't think much of it later on when i was treated.
Avatar f tn Now I am wondering if I should do my evening workout eg. Cardio-12mins, exercise using elliptical machine-20mins or butt workouts-5mins-8mins. I admit I feel so lazy and just tired after work and I always ended in the kitchen for dinner around 5.45-6pm. And I will go to bed by 10pm as I have to wake up at 4.30-5am. I wish to hear anyone's advise regarding my workout routine! Thanks!
Avatar n tn //encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn%3AANd9GcR5MEvrjlf8lihxpHLh-zy4iCjgk19IxFoBxA&usqp=CAU and i believe my posture was incorrect as i was a bit higher than i was supposed to be, thus there was a bit of pressure on by genitals. I do remember now that i felt some weird movement down there without any pain though that's why i proceeded with the workout.
Avatar f tn In the gym I participated in aerobic class. Circuit training. ( minimum time at each machine w maximum weight and used the rowing machine. I used to go every night. I'm 53 yrs old and have my weight under control and good measurements. It's a lifestyle not just temporary. So enjoy your work outs and your new eating habits.
Avatar m tn I am 4 months into recovering from a vitrectomy due to multiple retinal tears and my vision is still pretty terrible. On my last visit a month or so ago I was told I would be sent to an optometrist to help live with my oil bubble when I go in next week. I know I have some lingering swelling of the interior retina due to fluid in the inner eye just prior to surgery however on the measuring machine I can read 20/40 oil bubble and all and keep being told I am doing well overall.
Avatar n tn Hi..I work in the lab at the hospital. I must preface this by explaining a little. We have a machine that runs our antibody screens for our crossmatches. Basically the steps are as follows: Serum is injected in wells on a tray (the wells are also filled with red cells of known antigenicity), a potentiator is added and incubates at 37 degrees for 10-15 minutes, the trays are then washed with saline 3x, then anti-human globulin is added and this is centrifuged.....
Avatar m tn This has happened repeatedly. It happens when I go on the treadmill first and start there or when I go on it after I have been on the elliptical. It has also happened once or twice in the middle of my thirty minute workout just on the treadmill. I don't feel physically stressed. I thought it might be the treadmill machines but I have tried them all and still had this happen.
Avatar f tn Warm up on an eliptical machine for 5 min, then 20 reps of leg press, 2 min back on the machine, then 20 reps for whatev, back on the machine for 2min etc; We do something for quads, lats, biceps, triceps, flys, bench press, shoulders, pretty much every muscle group. We end with abs. The trainer I used wed (its a husband /wife team that trade off depending on the time of day) gave me my favorite tip so far...
Avatar f tn Good job on the workout! In the days after your workout you'll experience two different kinds of muscle soreness. Within the first 24 hours of your workout, you might be kind of sore. This is normal--your workout created little tears in your muscles and they need to repair. This is when you rest. You can still go to the gym, as long as you don't exercise those muscles that you focused on yesterday. 24-48 hours after your workout, Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness will set in.
12981378 tn?1440334797 Did a full body workout, from barbell over head press, bench with weights sumo squats, kettle bell squats, smith machine, kettle ball swings, pushup burpies and some other all free weights and the bike for 2 miles on hills n 3 mile fast walked inclined on 10, yet no damn contractions. Not even a HB.. WTH! I'm 37 weeks I should at least feel something. ..
11464625 tn?1422861172 How come when I workout I don't always feel sore the next day? I change my workout all the time and change reps, duration, sets, etc. I want to feel sore so I know I had a good workout.
Avatar f tn Can u ladies help me with picking out some universal baby names. I am not originally from this country. I would like a name that is pretty in every culture.
Avatar f tn I notice if I get a nice little workout in at some point in the day that helps. And then I use a sleep sound machine app on my phone and it has helped for the most part. Some nights I lay there for hours...there are some sleepy time teas that I use to drink but haven't asked my doc if they are safe to drink while pregnant.
Avatar f tn I was figuring out how to exercise at home as the cases of crime is increasing rapidly. I couldnt get exercising machine. so i wonder is there any way to lose out weight by doing what kind of exercise and how long do i need to do it a day ?
332074 tn?1229560525 So lets say they put me on a machine, if I would get the allergies under control and lose some weight, will I have to keep using the machine?
471113 tn?1245108820 2) The price was very reasonable and the comments on the machine were above average for other machines in the same range. Setup and all included was right around 700.00. And they set it up for me ... no listening to my husband cuss up a storm, well worth the 100.00 extra (and THEN I found out the day I bought it they were giving 100.00 discounts.... so basically setup was free). Price of machine was 700.00 (Hope that made sense). 3) It is a VERY smooth ride and a tough machine.

Avatar f tn I was working out on the elliptical so I slowed down got off the machine and walked around then went back on the machine and finished my hour of exercise. I only had about 10 minutes left. After my workout I noticed my heart rate averaged 130 something but elevated to 220. I am 53 years old, female and going through menopause. Normally my elevated heart rate is around 150 - 153. Now I have been feeling weird. Should this be something I should be concerned about?
897494 tn?1267476064 I recently started a routine that involves of lifting 10 lb weight 5 sets of 1 90 second reps, followed by 20 min of interval cardio on an eliptical machine, 60-90 sec. running, 60 sec. rest, then I move on to more weights, and leg press, then to the treadmill for another 20 min interval cardio workout, using the same time routine as the eliptical workout.
Avatar m tn After the period hits, your HR is going to go up. Maybe try on a different machine, and see what happens. The 8 min thing means nothing, you are just concentrating too much. Good job on the exericise and keep it up!
Avatar m tn All with a couple minute break inbetween and no cardio at all. On my second set of machine squats (about 5 mins into workout), I felt dizzy, my heart felt like it was gonna rip out of my chest and I had tunnel vision. I sat down and checked my pulse, it was around 185. I then went to the BP machine after I felt better and my vitals were 90/70 and HR at 130. I am male, 24, 5'8" and 150lbs. I have been actively working since I was 14.
