My question is have any of you tried the Les Mills Pump! program either at home or in the gym? What did you think of it? Did it work like they say? Do you have any other suggestions for me?

You can also do jogging, if you're up to it. Avatar f tn I am trying to decide on a home exercise machine. I would like either and elliptical or a water rowing machine. I have researched both and tested out ellipticals. Rowing machines are a little harder to find. I know an elliptical will be good for cardio but will it also help build muscle?

929728 tn?1256162688 Yep,,there is no such thing as "spot reduction" when it comes to weight loss. Just like Dr.Vinod said, you lose the fat you put on last,,,first. So if your body just stored fat on your arms, you're going to notice a difference on your arms first. Resist the temptation to go with a fad diet. Lifestyle change is the way to go. Just as you didn't put on weight quickly, it won't come off quickly but it will come off. Go slowly.
Avatar f tn I would suggest that Covid makes everything a little more difficult. It seems to throw a psychological dragginess over doing things. So if your exercise routine isn't particularly inspiring, as Pax says, it would not only be hard to stick with in normal times, but to me it seems unsurprising that it would be harder to stick with it now. I agree that doing something that's a workout in itself but you like, is a good way to exercise.

I get so bored doing my workout videos and dance videos and strength training in my living room and it's over 90 degrees out lately so I'm too uncomfortable for walks. Before pregnancy I did turbo fire which was great but I'm so out of shape now I'd die of I tried it. So what do you suggest to get moving?

704458 tn?1236841243 Well I though today I would add to my exercise efforts and go up and down my stairs for 15 minutes as an added cardio workout I could do at home..... My staircase has 13 stairs - I went up and down 15 times in 5 minutes and thought I was going to die...lol Got the cardio workout in a very short burst - so every day Im going to increase by one extra up and down so tomorrow I plan to do 16 sets....
Avatar f tn I really recommend pregnancy yoga in your 2nd and 3rd trimester, before that aqua aerobics, swimming, normal yoga and Pilates, gym workout, light jog, stationary bike and cross trainer, anything really as long as you are feeling well and comfortable doing it.

Avatar f tn Hi all, Thought I'd update.. I had my ablation last week. I'm not sure if it worked, time will tell. Unfortunately, the team who induced my VT back in May were on holidays so I had a new consultant for my procedure, I didn't think it would make a difference but it was a frustrating experience! He met me before the procedure, said that he wouldn't be inserting any catheters unless he could induce my VT beforehand.

Avatar f tn I lost most of my baby weight by the time he was about 6 months old (gained 40lbs almost) just by taking 20-30minute walks with my baby daily (nothing too long), and doing workout videos on demand on my comcast cable (usually also 30 minutes).... they have everything yoga, cardio, dance, weight training. You just go to the sports and fitness sections and they have tons of free workout videos. Usually, I time this around his 10am bottle.
