Avatar m tn I was feeling a lump in my throat a few weeks ago and it made my workouts difficult. One day i then made it worse by rushing my shoulder workout which left my neck feeling tight and swollen. I then felt dizzy and stopped working out. I rested for about a week and now i can't seem to have a proper workout without feeling light headed, tingly face feeling, sinus blocked, ear blocked, face goes a bit numb. I have been working out for 3 years and have never experienced anything like this.

Avatar n tn I was recently working out, and as soon as I started to lift, my very first set, i got a massive headache and could not do anything else. It happened to me once before, but it was a different type of headache it was in the back of my head and my neck so i didn't work out for a week or two and i was fine. Since then i have been going to the gym for about two months and it hasn't happened. Like i said, this is a different headache. I just started taking creatine if that means anything?
Avatar n tn The third set I perhaps did too fast because I knew I would have a hard time getting through all 20 reps and during the last 2 or 3 repetitions of that set I felt a very uncomfortable (but not a scary pain) feeling in the back of my neck just below my head. I was unusually winded, light headed and almost faint, with a throbbing sensation in my neck that was tied to my heart beat. I walked the track very slowly and sat down for 5 minutes.
1134902 tn?1296066144 On september 28th I started a intenses workout program...P90X, which is 60 minutes of strenuous excersise 6 days a week. I gained 10 lbs with no change in measurements, but my muscles are pretty big now. My November to december cycle then lasted 32 days.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I have been weight lifting with a trainer for 2 years. I go 2 days on my own and 2 days with the trainer. I do have some pre-existing conditions with my shoulders. The right shoulder was frozen at one point but it has been fine (normal) for about 5 years except for some crackling noises. Also, I have done repetitive work and played competitive tennis and also violin for years. so those things may contribute to my shoulder problems. I have two ball like things. One in each shoulder.

Avatar f tn I really recommend pregnancy yoga in your 2nd and 3rd trimester, before that aqua aerobics, swimming, normal yoga and Pilates, gym workout, light jog, stationary bike and cross trainer, anything really as long as you are feeling well and comfortable doing it.
Avatar m tn at the end of the that workout I had a bit of a pain on my neck which was familiar to me because I had similar pain in the same workout before many times but it healed on its own. However, the pain that time was extremely worse when I tried to sleep that day. I woke up having stiff neck and couldn't move my head from side to side. I thought it would be muscle problem so I tried using NSAID pills, topical gel and Recombinant Hirudin gel which made me feel better by time.

Avatar m tn I work out at an exercise gym and go on the treadmill 3 days a week for 30 minutes in a cardiac workout at level 8 or 9. My father had an angioplasty at age 67. Over the past few weeks I have noted that I get some mild tightness in the left corner of my chest near my shoulder, which can sometimes radiate to my neck. It generally comes on after light exercise or while I am on the treadmill, but it can also occur while working at my desk.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I lift free weights with a trainer and when I do chin ups, plus prone rows with dumb bells or bench press. I wake up with a stiff neck and upper right trap area or that area and just below that area. It takes a few weeks to go away and then I do other kinds of weight lifting for several months and nothing else seems to cause a problem except squats with a bar on my back. I think my form is good. But these two things cause a problem.
Avatar f tn I went to a NUCCA doctor (chiropractor) who adjusted my C1 (atlas) in my neck. Since then, I have been super dizzy, unable to function, and sleeping all the time. I went to the ER after trying to workout and became extremely dizzy and unable to walk straight. The NUCCA doctor has never had a patient with these symptoms. While at the ER, they did a CT scan (normal) and an EKG (not normal). My heart rate was 46-48. They said that I should follow up with my doctor...
Avatar f tn I can do anytype of workout with no pain but for some reason when I do push ups or pull ups I get this stabbing pain right in the back of my head, where my skull connects to my neck.
