797340 tn?1240507697 I have been doing cardio rehab for 4 years. I listen to my own music(ipod) because I usually don't like the music the rehab management offers. My ipod includes music from U2, Beatles, Stones, CCR, Eagles, Mellencamp, Van Morrison and other great rock artists. However, I will often switch to the wonderful voice of Anita Baker or the awesome flute played by Puerto Rican jazz artist Nestor Torres. Lately I have been focusing on the incredible melodies of the Japanese jazz pianist Keiko Matsui.
2032869 tn?1333989114 im thinking id like to have my favorite reggae playlist in the room with me. its my favorite type of music, so i pretty much always have reggae playing. i think even my lil girl is gonna like it- i cant tell if shes kicking cuz she likes it or wants me to turn it off!
Avatar f tn I'm a big music person and I usually have no issue creating the perfect playlist, but I'm having the hardest time creating a labor playlist. Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything from types of music to actual songs. Thanks.
4476664 tn?1361632949 My girl starts kickin all crazy wen I put rap or hip hop on phone nd purr it on my belly. She has a few fave songs lol too cute.
Avatar f tn Mine dances when I play rock. But if I'm stuck in a car or somewhere they are playing rap/hip hop or r&b I feel sick and my baby doesn't dance. Not sure if it just has the same musical preference I do or if the baby some how reacts to how I react to different types of music.
Avatar f tn Did anyone make a playlist to help during labor? If so what songs did you include?
997349 tn?1288347731 Most came through like poster children. My father-in-law had his over 10 years ago and participates in hip hop workout classes twice a week. Your attitude and approach to the therapy are key. Embrace the therapy, accept the walker and cane as steps towards independence and keep progressing. Celebrate each milestone. Keep your spirits up. Re: pain management. Use it, but be sure that if you are taking something like hydrocodone that you get stool softeners too.
4540912 tn?1379630447 Nothing! I can't stand noise now that I'm pregnant.
Avatar m tn Hi- I had my first resurfacing in Jan 2002 at age 39 / second in Dec 2006. I was almost unable to walk before the first surgery. It is a wonderful procedure and, touch wood, I've been able to lead as active a life as before. I workout 4-5 times a week, cycle & ski. The only thing I don't do is run or high impact aerobics. Good luck with your surgery!
4601190 tn?1357338863 I just found my ipod thats been missing since i moved a yr ago... Wow...lol thats all i gotta say. Can definately tell i have a kid. I have a playlist for her & a country, rock, rap, & work playlist. Lol.
Avatar n tn HOW! You have to want to do it! Apparently you don't want to diet and exercise.
Avatar f tn I also quit eating fast food. I lost 20 pounds from just doing this. I also like to do zumba and hip hop dance. You can look up zumba and dance workout videos online and do it in the privacy of your own home if you are uncomfortable dancing in a class situation. This is what I do. Also try to stay away from fried foods, candy, and chips.
Avatar f tn Well hip hop is my main fav.!! soulja boy Rhiana Akon Lady GaGa all them!! But i like country as well and oldies too espcially the beetles!!
6808710 tn?1384993739 Keep that positive attitude, the great music, and the good cooking and you will make it far. Music and cooking are so therapeutic.(In my humble opinion.) Great list of songs! Thanks for sharing them.
Avatar f tn Sublime, and any top 40/ hip-hop artist. I love top 40/hip-hop and they put on a fantastic show usually...
Avatar m tn ll know all the words, the beat drops, the high hats, the pauses for acapella, and all the little adlibs. I listen to hip hop, but I can do this with whatever kind of music I hear. Everyone says it's like I have a music library in my head. Whenever I listen to music with people of course they know the words to alot of the music, but they are astonished by how much I know. And how much detail I know about the song, not just the words.
Avatar f tn I have been doing hip hop abs. It was a little difficult at first but I am on day 46 and I have lost 12 inches and 10 pounds. You see results everyday after you workout. I haven't had very much motivation every diet I have ever done. My husband had told me not to buy anymore diet things. My sister got surgery and let me borrow the workout videos. My husband has now agreed for me to buy it.
890657 tn?1241452545 I am a 42 yr old male and I have done some cutting myslef, only because I didn't want to feel the emotional pain I go through. I am learning to do some journaling and just write down thoughts as they go through my mind. I do see a tgherapist on a regular basis. I am also taking some medication to help with muy illnesses suchas depression, anxiety or panic attacks.
1107999 tn?1269718949 I take Liithium and use music to help my mood swings caused by my illness. I have half a dozen tunes of music that will set my foot tapping when feeling down and make me feel better. (it took quite a while to pick them) Mood swings caused by real events I find more difficult as I keep trying to find solutions for the impossible.
973741 tn?1342342773 Love it. I'm also touched by music. My teen son is going through a rough day and I just took him my phone and headphones to listen to a song. He was like "no". lol He doesn't feel like my music soothes his soul. I think he's missing out. I loved my hair bands of the 80's but these days I tend to turn on hip hop and rap. SO weird. But if I feel like dancing and imagine myself skinny doing it, I feel better.
