Avatar f tn While my biggest passion (of course excluding my old passion for pills) is live music my name is actually because I am truly a former Jersey girl. Don't hold it against me...we are really great and nothing like the show :) Live in CA now but grew up in NJ. I don't want to take things to help me sleep but I have to get some sleep. Did you take something to help you sleep at first and then wean off from that? I am worried about getting hooked on something to be able to sleep.
Avatar m tn Music was and still is my savior! Glad to see you moving forward with a positive attitude!
2032869 tn?1333989114 That's a great thing is support!... I wonder how my bd will be lol he's been excited since I'm having a boy. The first time I had the support from my parents and my sister all in the labor room and it was awesome. I got emotional when my dad prayed with me and held my hand when I needed it. I know when I was born he didn't get to witness my birth because I was born so fast and he was in the lobby doing paperwork.
483733 tn?1326798446 s why the 5 mile walk is nice because you have the option to do the workout with just the music and no instruction (she must have gotten a few "suggestions" after a few of her dvds lol)

7941162 tn?1395603116 Someone once told me music is 350mg of painkiller, and it’s true. The music takes your mind off the achy legs, the tightening of your chest, the anxiety you feel for the pills. Look, you want the withdrawal symptoms to go away faster? Well it isn’t going to happen, unless you get out of the bed, off the chat rooms and sweat it out. Go to the gym, park, anywhere you can get a good workout and sweat. These toxins we have all put into our bodies need to come out.
Avatar f tn You can stay motivated! Be realistic. You may dream of running the Boston Marathon or climbing Mount Everest. But if your current fitness level would more comparable to a sloth's, you might be setting yourself up for failure. If your goals aren't attainable, they ain't gonna happen. Maybe it's simpler than marathons and mountains--a smaller dress size or going three flights of stairs without gasping.

Avatar n tn Hello, I've had labyrithitis for the past five weeks. The dizziness has been pretty mild but I've had very poor hearing in my right ear and tinnitus on-and-off. My question is: am I OK to wear headphones at the gym? I really want to go later but can't get through a workout without some music to keep me entertained. What about if I keep the volume quite low?
Avatar m tn Do you have hobbies? I'm just now diving into what I love to do. Run? I like to workout when craving or loud music. I also like to write when I'm craving if not on her atleast in a journal just a distraction. I'm not sure about meetings, I'm going to my first on Tues. I hope you find something that works.
797340 tn?1240507697 I have been doing cardio rehab for 4 years. I listen to my own music(ipod) because I usually don't like the music the rehab management offers. My ipod includes music from U2, Beatles, Stones, CCR, Eagles, Mellencamp, Van Morrison and other great rock artists. However, I will often switch to the wonderful voice of Anita Baker or the awesome flute played by Puerto Rican jazz artist Nestor Torres. Lately I have been focusing on the incredible melodies of the Japanese jazz pianist Keiko Matsui.
Avatar m tn s brain by listening to acoustically-modified instrumental music through high quality headphones. It helps children to process auditory information more efficiently. INTEGRATED LISTENING SYSTEMS (ILS): is a multi-sensory program that improves the function of brain. The program involves listening to particularly modified music coupled with movement activities. Avatar f tn I said pop because I guess that's the closest to describe what we like. My DH made a couple mix CDs of songs for my 15 month old, who dances to EVERYTHING that makes noise, including the dish washer and clothes dryer. But, the music we have on his CD's are Cowboy Mouth, Guster, a couple christian praise/worship-type songs, some mardi-gras type music (we live in NOLA). Basically stuff that's fun, upbeat and fun to dance around to. My daughter-in-the-womb enjoys it too, I am sure.
Avatar f tn get a friend, get a hobby, have a drink, get involved in ur own project, WORKOUT WORKOUT WORKOUT till ur body cant take anymore, listen to some good music, slap someone w a burnt tortilla lol ANYTHING
Avatar f tn Just curious, and since virtually everyone loves music, what is you're fav. Music genre? Fav bands? Fav songs? I personally love heavy metal, love bands like Slipknot, Mudvayne, Pantera, Lamb of God..etc. However I love classic rock, Queen, Bad co. Kansas, etc. I'm also in love with Amy Lee (from Evanescence) voice. Love that band.. yes, I have a soft side lol.
Avatar f tn There are several rhythm/dance workouts on youtube. the ones i've tried are called bodyjam. Which there are a few different ones, about 20 minutes each. there's also Core Rhythms, which is your Zumba type dance. And they have the FULL workout (38 minutes) right on youtube....For free! I have a laptop so i can put it on a shelf on my entertainment center in the living room and Poof! Instant private aerobic dance class. Plus you don't have to buy tons of dvds.
Avatar n tn I am 15 wks +5 days thinking of doing some mild workout, what would u recommend if I hit the gym?
1253197 tn?1331209110 I was asked with a few others to sing the soprano solo bit where the music splits into 8 parts and this was quite challenging as we only practised it once but it went Ok. My Mum, bless her, came to listen in the evening and singing this music was one of those moments where I felt entirely at peace and at the same time excited and completely moved spirtually. So I shall continue to remind myself to live in the moment and to live my life enjoying my passions.

Avatar f tn Music, Hawaiian sweet rolls, Mexican food, spicy foods or me being around her dad makes her crazy. She also hates when I'm at work too and have to constantly talk to her to see if she moves at all. She's a crazy little baby but I love her more than she knows.
