Avatar m tn Do your mean lifting weights as in weight lifting the sport, or lifting weights as in bodybuilding, I cant think of a reason that bodybuilding should stunt your growth, but that you may just a small build, in that case you may find it hard to build your weight up, and weight lifting could stop you growing by the amount of weights that you lift over your head.

My last time working out was shoulders; at the end of the that workout I had a bit of a pain on my neck which was familiar to me because I had similar pain in the same workout before many times but it healed on its own. However, the pain that time was extremely worse when I tried to sleep that day. I woke up having stiff neck and couldn't move my head from side to side.
Avatar f tn I was taking a pre workout called mp assault to go lift weights. Then I got strange eye twitching/feeling numb+light sensitivity and dizziness. Now 3/4 days later twitching stopped but more and more of my face is numb and eye doesnt feel right. What is happening?
Avatar m tn So I get to the gym quite often at 1 AM or 2 AM and when I can fit it in.I finally broke down and got a pre-workout with creatine in it because I just can't get all my responsibilities done and fit in the gym also. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to make the creatine pre-workout powder a little slower acting or less powerful mix it with more water maybe or I don't know what that's why I'm here asking LOL.

I've got these dark patches on my skin: http://imgur.com/PhuVk (the big one to the right of the pic-rib area) I have another one of the same size just under the armpit(at the joint, not in the arm pit) These two are about 1.5-2cm in their greatest length and i have no idea when they appeared as being in these areas it was difficult to notice them. I have them for 4 months but probably started around 6 months ago.

You could try keeping a workout journal or putting up post its to remind you of the buzz you get after exercise or the achievements you've made. Likewise you can make plans to exercise with a friend at least once a week, even just a walk. The socialising will boost your mood as well as the exercise and it's a good way to prevent any unmotivated changes in plans because of the expectation to meet up.

My mom bought the "Walk at Home" workout DVD today and I'm going to try that one too.. I will let you all know how that goes! Anyways! I just wanted to let everyone know how I was doing.. Avatar m tn Sorry should have added also not to stop taking your meds. It is too hard on the body if you were prescribed those i certainly would not stop taking them. Things will get worse and it could mess with your heart. Have blood test's taken regularly yearly if you are stable but every 6 months if they cannot stabilize your numbers. Thyroid meds are not something you want to mess with without your dr monitoring the changes.

I have been on bodybuilding diets which contain high proteins low carbs loads of veggies tho , most of it beeing broccoli. I did a little bit of research on a bodybuilding website which stated it's still ok to exercise however very lightly. I'm wondering if this is a wise choice? I've been to the gym this past week a couple times to do cycling and used the machines to lift very little to no weight. I've been cramping like crazy. Are the cramps a normal part of the pregnancy or am I pushing my body too much??
