What I do if I don't really want to go workout is ask myself, how will I feel in 2 months if my health has gone downhill because of my laziness? Best of luck to you.

Avatar m tn For post-workout nutrition it gets a little trickier because the mixture depends on your goals. The post-workout shake is made from skim milk, whey protein. Use one cup of skim milk and a full scoop of whey protein. I hope this helps.
Avatar m tn When I was going to college, I took a workout class that was actually ROTCs pt class. The group encouragement was amazing!! Try looking into group classes offered by your gym or get a friend with similar goals. The buddy system is such a motivatior. Good luck!
Avatar n tn I just got back from a nice 2 mile jog on the beach and chest/bi workout. Stopped and picked up amino acids to go with my multi vitamins and protein shakes. I hit my 24 hour mark just now! Got a small glass of whiskey...dont worry dont drink that much. Had a fake id since I was 14 so been there done that. I am still young, with a career and gorgeous fiance. I have lots of friends and a very loving mother and brothers. With all that I was very depressed....and I realized it was the pills.
Avatar f tn Add in a run or any sort of plyometrics and I am huffing and puffing like it is my first workout ever. During a 3 mile run my average time is 12:30/mile. After 6 years of training! I finally went to a cardiologist and after a series of tests they found an arrythmia that presents itself only during exercise. My heart rate bolts to about 200-220 bpm and then the arrythmia happens during the recovery. During the treadmill stress test it presented itself about 4 times during the recovery. The Dr.

My mom bought the "Walk at Home" workout DVD today and I'm going to try that one too.. I will let you all know how that goes! Anyways! I just wanted to let everyone know how I was doing.. Avatar f tn t have any self control. or drive. or goals. well we had goals..more pills. but now its time to pick up the pieces..the cleanup begins...i set goals everyday. small ones i can accomplish. i write them down. and cross them off....some goals are daily some weekly monthly and so forth...so i encourage all of you to set a goal....and don't forget rewards...one must reward themselves for hard work. think of how much money you've saved..there's got to be something that you want...

Compared to a cardio workout like jogging, weight training will burn fewer calories. However, jogging probably has a higher risk of injury and there are pros and cons for both these types of exercise. Depending on your goals, a mix of cardio and weight training is probably the best option.

Someone who is in shape can exercise vigorously, but somebody who has not been getting any real exercise will need to start out with an easier program. Somebody in between can work out at a moderate pace. Everybody should exercise a minimum of 3 days a week to make any gains at all, and it really takes at least four to see fast results.
Avatar f tn Hi, many times people actually feel better when they go to gym but they lack initiative about going to the gym. There are a few suggestions for you. Set your goals, start with what you like doing in the gym, stay hydrated throughout the day, keep a diary or logbook and note down your day to day attendance in the gym, give yourself rewards at the weekend in the form of snacks, make friends and a group in the gym to join you in all these activities. This will surely help.

It's all about reading labels, based on your body type how many carbs/sugars should be consumed yet try not to let your weight be your prime focus. Remember magazines are deceiving, stars are photo shopped and some of their curves are cut out (digitally) and friends who may be smaller may have higher metabolism or different body structure. Avatar m tn I used a fitbit to count my steps. My goals kept creeping up, and soon I wanted to hit those goals faster so I started off walk / running. The next thing I know 6 months go by and I'm running 5k in 26 minutes. was never my goal. I still get PVCs. Some days are worse than others. If I have a bad day, I get upset just like anyone would. I keep trying.

I want to become a Musical psychologist. His plans are to move to another place but not have enough money to actually stay there just get there and have a kid. The sooner the better. He plans to live in his car until he can find a job and he hopes for a child before this.

Well some of you will remember my 2009 episode began in April, from day one i set goals, even if it was ok 2 steps before you touch the wall this time, I even got back to doing a run at one stage.

When you set these goals and challenges you will feel successful and physically you will feel better too. Also set rewards for yourself after maintaining your challenges: Pedicure, new shoes, buy a new nail polish color, new outfit. Something fun! When your thinking of your challenges don't always take things away and don't always make it something physical.

I haven't had very much motivation every diet I have ever done. My husband had told me not to buy anymore diet things. My sister got surgery and let me borrow the workout videos. My husband has now agreed for me to buy it.
