Avatar f tn Its good you've set a goal and are looking to find out how to achieve it! However losing 15 pounds in a month is unrealistic and unhealthy. Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you shouldn't look at it as weight loss but a way to become healthier!
199373 tn?1270487632 I gave birth 2 months ago, and I'm losing weight at a semi-slow pace (I'm breastfeeding so I cannot overdo it). I ordered an elliptical, and plan to workout on it for atleast 30 mins a day. I seem to be losing well in all places but my face and arms. Any advice on how to trim these two areas? Or should I just be patient?
Avatar n tn Are you losing weight at all? The best way to keep weight off is to lose a bit at a time so it stays off, and you don't say if you're getting anywhere or getting nowhere. I would ask, if this exercise is new to you, meaning you weren't doing this before, do you notice anything positive happening in the shape of your body?
Avatar f tn It sounds like you've reached the typical weight loss plateau stage. My suggestion is to changing your diet to kick start the weight loss. It worked for me.
Panda I have been walking and doing the insanity workout but seems like i am not losing any weight
Avatar f tn ) and remember to eat healthy, your condition and weight losing depends a lot about what you eat. So eat good fats (avocado, nuts) and proteins! Don't eat much carbs. And if you can't run the whole 30minutes you can walk and run but then you need to do longer exercise like for 40-50minutes.
746818 tn?1233944362 Yeah, we've been together for 10 years, trying for 3 years.....we got our first BFP last year around this time, but lost it 8 weeks later. I havent really been in the mood to TTC since because I dont want to go through that heartache again. I am putting all my energy into other things like losing weight now.
Avatar n tn I walk about 45 min morning and evening and drink about a gallon of water a day. Is an intense workout essential for this goal? Or will my routine walk with strict dieting help?
Avatar f tn Besides that,i would insist you to go for workout more. Obviously you can lose weight without ant exercise but i wont reccommend that. Workout gets your body toned up. One amazing workout. You would required a treadmill. This would be first round of 10 min session. Set speed and incline according to your calibre. Then run/jog for 10 sec and rest for 10sec. Do this for 10min. This would be your round 1.Maximum 3 rounds should be done at a time. Any queries? Free to ask.
Avatar f tn You're apparently not too used to working out, so you have to start slowly and build up as you get stronger. Anything that gets/keeps you moving is doing something for you. While cardio is good for you, you also need to do some strength training. You can do that in the form of squats, lunges, or using light weights. You can check out YouTube for various weigh bearing exercises. When you do strength training, you build muscle, and muscle burns fat.
Avatar f tn I need a good workout plan for me without having to visit a gym. Are there any good, trustworthy and up-to-date sites that I can save to keep going back to do these exercises over and over each day? Or would anyone have any suggestions on where to begin?
Avatar n tn What's the best workout for me?? I'm 15 years old and weight 83kg. My goal is to lose weight to goto 70kg by new year! Hope I get there but I need to know what workouts I need to do and what I need to eat ?
Avatar f tn The mantra to a healthy body weight is a healthy lifestyle. If you are aiming at losing weight, it is important to calculate your current BMI and the target BMI. The target BMI should be in a healthy range. Aside indulging in moderate amounts of physical exercise it is also essential to maintain a healthy diet plan. One would need adequate amount of calories to support the basic metabolic functions and if you work out vigorously, your required calorie intake rises.

Avatar f tn The easiest way to loose weight is to identify what type of food you consume the most, then quit eating it for a few weeks. For example: if you drink soda everyday stop drinking it. If you eat dairy products a lot, eleminate them. If you want drop the pounds in a few days, follow this plan. Drink only tea for breakfast and lunch, then have a big salad with chicken or something healthy for dinner; Don't forget to drink lots of water!!
