Avatar m tn I'm 44 yrs old and experiencing problems with being extremely out of breath, finding it difficult to recover and catch back up during hard exercise. And I'm getting daylong headaches after these more trying bouts of exercise. I swim 5 days a week, 1.5 miles/day. During moderate to moderate to semi strenous swimming I seem to be OK, but still not recovering quickly and breathing harder than my peers. During the swim workouts, my HR is usually between 120-175.
4437866 tn?1388119624 It's a 60 day high intensity workout. I have the dvds and I did it before with great results. I started it again but then I got preggo so I had to stop. It's a great workout!
Avatar n tn I am 26. 5'11" and 196 lbs. I work out 3 days a week. I attend a spin class for one hour per day three days per week. I have been doing this for more than a month now. I have lost nothing. I am constantly tired despite getting 7 hours of sleep each night. I am getting frustrated. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn Well she won't need karate classes cause she seems to know how to do all the jabs and kicks that can be taught. Feels that way anyways. Anyone else get kicked or jab bad enough to make u wanna puke???

349463 tn?1333571576 I agree with the above. If you're just working out on the elliptical or running on the treadmill and doing weight training, that's fine. I've known women who are black belts in karate getting pregnant. It shouldn't be an issue as long as it's not affecting your period.
Avatar f tn Hi I was just recently diagnosed with MS and one of my symptoms was itching and hives. This usually happens when i take a shower, or exercise. I have not started any meds yet for MS, but I thought it might be releted to MS. Anyone else have itching before treatment?
Avatar m tn On a Saturday almost two years ago, the evening after a morning spent in a hard karate workout, I took DXM and was unusually active. Monday, I went to full-contact karate and got kicked in the back fairly hard. The only real pain I felt, though, was a horrible headache that had been present since I'd woken up Sunday morning. By Tuesday, the headache had mostly dissipated; I went outside and played Frisbee. The Frisbee went into a shrub (stinging nettle?).
Avatar m tn Yesterday I was at LA Fitness gym, at the end of my workout a guy was asking me about the roundhouse karate kicks I do over the machines in between weight training sets. While I was explaining my workout routine to him I had a sense that he might be high on pain meds. He had this calm peaceful look with a faint smile and his eyes were glassy and a little red. I thought I might be imagining things because of my opiate experience and recently getting over a mild relapse.
1308443 tn?1302693321 I know that karate is probably a bad idea but I tape it and try not to hit with it. Any idea on what to do to help it heal?
Avatar f tn I didn't feel any movements until I was 19 weeks & at first it was just flutters & then now its like karate chops lol
209384 tn?1231168306 I am a teacher and I understand the importance of homework, but I STRONGLY advise you to put Karate first. It teaches major coping strategies for your son and right now living with bipolar comes first. His teacher should understand and if not I will show you how to legally reduce the amount of homework he gets. It's very easy if you know Special Education law and he qualifies under other health impaired.
Avatar f tn If he says you can do any type you want and if you feel like your up for it then I say go for it.
Avatar f tn How does everyone workout everyday to stay fit? I am a FTM and I want to stay fit and not lay around the house everyday gaining weight. So can y'all help me ? Please .
Avatar f tn I really recommend pregnancy yoga in your 2nd and 3rd trimester, before that aqua aerobics, swimming, normal yoga and Pilates, gym workout, light jog, stationary bike and cross trainer, anything really as long as you are feeling well and comfortable doing it.
7038445 tn?1391720197 I felt my little girl move like flutters around 18 weeks but I'm now 38 +1 weeks and she constantly has a party in there lol be prepared for some real karate chops hahah but it is the most amazing feeling ever
1981227 tn?1336328438 My reasoning is that I know this is not bad enough for IV steriods (I went to karate last night, just took it slow.. funny I normally feel better after karate). Theres nothing the Neuro can really do other than confirm the relapse. Therefore I don't see a point in calling him but I will keep note of the attack. What would you all do? What do you do if you have a relapse but it seems minor? How are you all doing ???
973741 tn?1342342773 I've read that martial arts are good for kids with ADHD. I've recently put my son into karate (he requested to join). I don't know if I've really seen the benefits yet, but it's getting him moving twice a week, he's doing something he's interested in- so the focus is there, he's with a mix of kids and they all work together to help people learn the moves, and he's learning self control and discipline.
Avatar f tn I would love to regularly workout, but can't afford to buy a bunch of dvds (I bought one but get bored after so many times). I'd love to hear if anyone has come across a good workout site or a few that have a bunch of pregnancy workouts?!
Avatar m tn If you had a 4th generation DUO test at 5 weeks post exposure, the results are conclusive and you DO NOT have HIV. If I am understanding your question correctly, you are concerned for your karate partner? He had NO RISK. Where is your anxiety coming from?
Avatar f tn He currently attends preschool and is learning T-ball and Karate. We thought that having him involved in team sports would be good for him socially. We enrolled him in Karate once a week because we were hoping this would help him with concentration. These are both new activities. Every since he was diagnosed with speech delay we have done our best to get him extra help. He received special ed. services at the preschool and has recently been exited from speech.
