Avatar f tn First, if you go off the Paxil, do it slowly, tapering. If your psychiatrist doesn't take this seriously, get a different one before you quit. Second, if Paxil is working well, keep in mind it may be difficult to find something else that works. These meds aren't interchangeable. Sometimes you'll find another good one, but often you won't. That's something to consider.

Have you seen medical professionals about this? Do you eat? Have you always been extraordinarily thin, or did you have a late growth spurt that left you much taller but not at all heavier? The basic way for most people to gain weight is to eat more.
Avatar f tn Keep in mind that those are considered "weight gainers". They are also very high in sugar. They are OK to have every now and then but I wouldn't recommend them every day. There are far better alternatives.

Avatar f tn Lots of walking and a lot of yoga! There's videos for exercises for first trimester, 2nd trimester, and 3rd. You could also check with your doctor to see what works best for you and just a heads up if you start doing this early in your pregnancy it shouldn't be hard as you get bigger! Good luck!

I've got that burning, tense abdominal muscle sensation. It's hard to describe it's not exactly like contractions, it's more like a constant tense feeling. Has anyone else felt this being in their 3rd trimester?
Avatar m tn With weight gainers, just keep an eye out for high sugars. Some of them are packed with 80+ grams. Look for one with more complex carbohydrates, quality proteins, and good fats. Some have added flax seed oil, CLA, sunflower oil. Also, it's more expensive but try to get one with a higher protein blend of whey isolate. Most are a mix of whey concentrate and soy. The isolate is way lower in cholesterol and digests easier.
Avatar n tn During it my heart started to beat very very hard and I could feel just how hard it was working, my heart seemed to work every hard. It lasted for 90 minutes. I started to sweat a lot during it. Since then I have no reoccurences, no palpitations or pain. The heart rate is normal and 70 or under at rest. But since it happened my heart seems to be beating very "hard". Each beat is much harder than normal.

I always say it depends on how badly affected your life is -- if you're still coping okay, therapy and gentler natural techniques and remedies can be tried before you have to turn to medication.

Avatar m tn i have it for tendinitus in my elbow (not a big problem really) but after a workout sometimes im out of commision. im trying to become a body builder (natural competitions) so in other words i can't stop working out lol. but maybe ill just keep it on hand for after i workout or i dont know... ill pray on it.

Not knowing your personal situation it is a bit hard to offer suggestions that might work for you. I have one that I like that is Women's Health Total Workout in Ten! It is broken into ten minute segments- cardio, upper body, lower body and flexibility/balance. You can pick out the routine that you want to work on or do them all.
Avatar f tn I really recommend pregnancy yoga in your 2nd and 3rd trimester, before that aqua aerobics, swimming, normal yoga and Pilates, gym workout, light jog, stationary bike and cross trainer, anything really as long as you are feeling well and comfortable doing it.
