892665 tn?1259171714 I've had a handicap parking placard for almost 7 years now. I suffer from chronic fatigue, FMS, severe arthritis, severe asthma, lupus. This placard has been a godsend for me - there are many times when, if I didn't have it, I simply would not be able to get into the store/pharmacy to even get my prescriptions.
Avatar n tn Hello, I play football in highschool, and have been playing football for 5 years now. My problem is, even though ive been working out for 5 years, I am extremelly out of shape. I have increased my stamina ever so slightlly over these years. I am barelley over wieght, yet I still am in the back, running with the 300 pound guys. I am even active outside of football practice, playing football with my freinds, and walking around my block often.
Avatar f tn t know if anyone else does this but I catch myself checking for the handicap placards or handicap license plates in the parking lots... It really upsets me when I see a car parked without one...I just want to wait on them to come out and ask them if they where saving that space for me...lol I would really feel bad if they had just forgotten to hang it up though... I guess I had better behave myself...
Avatar f tn I went thru a round of supartz injections in it and after each of those shots my knee would get really spongy and hard to stand on for a few days. I would ride a handicap cart at big stores if I had to go since I wasnt to do much for a few days after each. I know I got some really weird looks then. I hate to be "disabled" but it is hard to function normally with all this going on. About the POTS, are you taking anything for it? Does it seem to be working?
Avatar f tn t know about and he said that a girl with a handicap was hitting on him saying he looks like Luke Bryan which he don't but he's drunk off his butt and I'm sure she was drinking too but I got upset and left cause he was sitting there like he's hot stuff now. He doesn't include me in anything or want to spend time with me. This feels like he pretty much cheated on me. I'm really hurt now and I don't feel like I can trust him around anyone.
Avatar f tn Anyone who lives in a hot climate have any tips for dealing with it? I am newly diagnosed with MS and finding the effects of hot weather very painful. It's difficult to do errands at almost any time of the day because of getting in a hot car after each one. I find that my symptoms, mostly pain, return with exposure to heat. Any tips would be very much appreciated!

Avatar f tn I really recommend pregnancy yoga in your 2nd and 3rd trimester, before that aqua aerobics, swimming, normal yoga and Pilates, gym workout, light jog, stationary bike and cross trainer, anything really as long as you are feeling well and comfortable doing it.
8924846 tn?1410572901 So I was supposed to go to the sweet corn festival that we have going on in town. There was no where to park within 5 miles. I even asked if they'd allow me to park in the Handicap area. I told them in pregnant and I'd overheat with how hot it is if I had to walk too far. The cops response was well maybe you shouldn't be here. I've been looking forward to going.
Avatar f tn I would love to regularly workout, but can't afford to buy a bunch of dvds (I bought one but get bored after so many times). I'd love to hear if anyone has come across a good workout site or a few that have a bunch of pregnancy workouts?!
Avatar f tn Not that anyone is owed an explanation, but I saw a quote on Facebook the other day that would make a good bumper sticker for people with disabilities who use a handicap placard: "My invisible, disabling chronic illness is more real than your imaginary medical expertise.
Avatar f tn As for me I took a wonderful hot shower, sat in the lounge, watched TV and tried to style my new hair cut. That was enough workout for me. I had a good time, and I really needed it. One of these days I may even attempt a more traditional workout.
Avatar n tn ve been seeing a trainer and he says the best way to lose body fat is to walk at an incline (like 13) and at a pace of 2.9 he says try to do this 4-5x a week for at least 30 min ( I aim for 45 min) we also do weights 2-3x a week as we'll. and of course we all know watching what we eat which is the hardest for me, I train so hard then come home and eat crap and it pretty much wipes out my entire workout!
