193609 tn?1292180293 I just did Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD. OMG It about killed me! It takes about 25 minutes to complete. All you need is the DVD and a set of weights...I used 3lb weights and thought i was going to die!!! They have two people doing the exercises....one is for more advanced exercisers and the other is for beginners! Even the beginner workout is really hard and you will know you worked out when you are done! I feel great though, knowing I got a workout in!!!
773214 tn?1295135069 Once I gain some energy from this first trimester I would really like to start some sort of work out routine but I was wondering if any of you used a particular dvd or anything. I have been looking online and I am confused on which one to go with after reading the customer reviews, etc...I am not a hardcore type of girl but I don't want something TOO easy either....any recommendations? Once the weather gets nicer I will try to get outside and walk.
293845 tn?1227997530 Hey girls, I'm looking for a workout video to get me back in shape. I want one that I can feel sexy doing. I looked at Carmen Electra's aerobic striptease DVD but it got bad reviews. People said it wasn't much of a workout but they did feel sexier doing it. I also saw the Girls Next Door video and that one got better reviews, people said they were sore from the exercises. But it doesnt have any stripping or anything like that. Does anyone know of a good sexy workout video??
Avatar f tn Hello ladies, I'm a FTM here and before I got pregnant I was trying to lose weight and get more toned. Now, I'm 8w1d and I don't have the energy to go to the gym. Any recommendations for a good prenatal workout DVD? I was looking at Suzanne Bowen's Slim & Toned but still not sure...
483733 tn?1326798446 I also have all but the 1st of the Biggest Loser DVDs. They take advanatge of the DVD format and let you pick which workout you want to do at a given session so that you can customize the length and difficulty. I think that is neat. They do lots of squats, and the music is lame, but they are also good options considering my limitations. I have a small trampoline, and sometimes I just put that in the living room and sort of jog in place on it (I think I'd break it if I actually jumped!
572651 tn?1530999357 one of the ads that have been running here lately is the one for MS ACTIVE WELLNESS and theiir DVD. This is probided by one of the pharmas and I have a copy. It is an excellent workout with three levels that everyone can do. It includes a very detailed booklet with photos and explanations of the exercises so you don't even havve to own a dvd player to benefit. It is free, so be sure to click on that link and order one.
Avatar f tn I like to work out with What to Expect workout DVD and Suzannes Slim and Toned DVD.

Avatar f tn Does any know of a good yoga dvd or other prenatal workout video? I need to work at Zen. :) Plus I normally do a workout video & jog to stay in shape but after I found out I was prego I stopped cuz my last two pregnancies I miscarried. But I'm finding I need some kind of outlet for my witchyness so I need a low impact workout.
Avatar f tn I used to run, do kettle bell, etc but I slowed it down bcuz I took 16 wks off. Now I walk (2-3 miles), each am I do a home prenatal workout DVD & yoga. It's actually very important to work out while prego-it will keep Ur energy up, you'll have less aches & pains, sleep better, makes delivery faster, keeps unwanted weight off & you'll bounce back to Ur prepregnacy weight much faster.
Avatar n tn Yeah it good but It will work better if you workout 4 days a week even if you can just do 2 days at the try then try a workout DVD at home or walk for 30 to 45 min
Avatar f tn try a dvd by zumba or another trainer you like, and mix it up. Don't do the same routine all the time. Confuse your muscles by having a different routine every day.
Avatar f tn These workout videos on Amazon, they had a 3 dvd pack which incl. A pilates video, a yoga video and a simple workout to slim and tone. Im pretty excited, and im gonna try em out tomorrow! I usually dont take the effort to do anything but this is my 2nd preg.
Avatar f tn If u have a dvd player get you a workout video and try to workout every night before bed. You want to start out with a slow paced workout and build yourself up. Good luck & have a great time on your trip.
756140 tn?1294767094 s the Dancing With the Stars Cardio Workout and let me tell you.. It works!! And so does The Firm workout DVD sets.. You really feel the "burn" with that one, lol! My mom bought the "Walk at Home" workout DVD today and I'm going to try that one too.. I will let you all know how that goes! Anyways! I just wanted to let everyone know how I was doing.. Good luck with everything your all doing!!! And may we all reach our goals for Sunday's weigh in!!!!
1285110 tn?1420147378 I've never wanted to use a kettle bell. I've seen some exercises that use momentum with it and the rule of thumb is that a strength training exercise or use of weights is supposed to be a slow, controlled movement. I use hand weights, 3 and 5 pounds. I also use a ball with hand weights. I don't know anyone that has a kettle bell but my sister and I don't think she has ever used it. I'll have to get it from her.
Avatar f tn After baby you can loose weight pretty easy. I've been back to prepregnacy weight w/in 4 months. I've nursed my last 2 babies, nursing helps burn calories. However, if nursing U don't want to diet. Don't take any diet pills. Plus when nursing you really do feel hungry. The best thing to do is eat healthy. Protein, veggies & fruit. Workout, but don't over do it. If U workout too much/hard it will effect Ur milk supply as well as dieting or eating less.
435139 tn?1255460391 s Fit Mama Prenatal Workout, she has a variety of exercises on the dvd including salsa dancing and then once you have the baby a post dvd is included and it has mama and baby workouts.

435762 tn?1244682620 I have gone through the pillate's exercises. I understand it is good for abs.C-curve breathing, and many of the movements ane breathing.
Avatar n tn I never started running again but would walk the 3miles instead. I also did a prenatal workout DVD (find on Amazon) every other day. Make sure to drink 9+ glasses of water a day. But always check w Ur dr.
Avatar f tn Hi Guys, I am not sure if you are aware that there is a full length documentary on POTS that is availble free of charge. I have posted regarding this DVD before but back then you had to buy it. It is called - 'Changes: Living With Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome' and was created by the Dysautonomia Information Network.
Avatar f tn I bought the Tracy Anderson pregnancy project workout DVD. It has a different DVD for each month. I finally started it today and it was really difficult but worked a lot of muscles. It'll definitely keep me strong!
Avatar f tn Agree that you should eat lots of veggies - watch the fruit, though because it tends to have a lot of sugar that can turn to fat quickly, if not used up. Chicken and turkey are very good for you, but so are lean cuts of red meat. Meat, eggs, dairy are chock full of vitamin B12, which is essential for energy. While green tea is good for you, I've never had any luck with it helping with weight loss. A 30 minute work out or walk is good; aim for at least 3 days/week, if not more.
427382 tn?1298209586 Hey Jules! I bought this DVD about a month ago. Granted, I have only used it maybe 10 times, but it kicks my butt!!! Highly recommend it. I just started doing it again last Thursday and my goal is to do it 5-6 times a week for the rest of the month. We are headed to Maui the second week of Sept. and I need to loose some of the extra love on my thighs :P And, 10 more lbs! Sooooo... I will do a "challenge" with you!
Avatar f tn Try stretching, working out a little if you can (I do a prenatal workout home DVD-it's only 25 mins long) or look on Pinterest for some prenatal back exercises. Our bodies just by being prego get pulled forward and out of shape. Another thing to try is get a "maternity belly band" it supports your stomach so there is less back strain. I found mine on Amazon, but I've seen them at baby & maternity clothes stores.
Avatar f tn ) I got the what toexpect when expecting workout dvd and its amazing. It has yoga, cardio, and workouts to do when you aren't pregnant.
