Avatar f tn 5 months old and although I have lost my pregnancy weight for the most part I am stuck with it seems like extra skin at the bottom of my stomach and fat love handles.. Does anyone have any good tips or workouts I could do? I do home exercises everyday.
Avatar f tn Your body should be a straight line between your shoulders and knees. As you get stronger, instead of lifting with your knees, you can lift with your feet. Hold the position for about 60 seconds. Tighten your core the entire time. Work up to completing this movement two to three times during your workout session. If need be google these exercises to see how they are done! Get the OK from your doctor first!!
Avatar f tn I have found that the stretch bands are great for resistance training. There are many (as in, almost too many) DVDs and other inexpensive guides for using the bands. I have one that looks like a rubber band on steroids and a couple more that have handles on them. I am able to use them for certain body areas (especially my legs) by looping them over door handles. My treadmill is a cross trainer so I get some arm resistance training on that too. Your problem may be finding too much information!

Avatar n tn If you don't have the mobility or endurance, exercising a few minutes several times a day is good. Walking, swimming and water aerobics are healthy low-impact exercises. Strength training, perform one to two sets of 10 to 15 repetitions of weight bearing exercises two to three times a week. If you don't have dumb bells then use resistance bands or machines. You can perform pushups against a wall and squats by sitting in a chair and then standing. You could join a yoga class.

Avatar f tn Hi, you can start with some aerobic exercises like treadmill or 30 minutes a day starting with slow speed and slowly increasing the pace. After a month you may add some more exercises to your schedule like little weight training along with other equipment you have. You can also add Yoga at any stage. Be careful to eat balanced diet. Avoid taking sugars and fat in your diet. Losing weight is a slow process and issued not expect body changes before 2 to 3 months. I hope this helps.

(Gotta be ready for the upcoming race season). I am not about super bursts of speed, but rather distance, so I never leave before completing at least a 5K (3.1 miles) while I am there, although I am currently inching toward the 4 mile mark.

Avatar f tn see if want to llose , you have to do regular workout with a balanced diet . Only workout may not works perfectly , but it works best with balanced diet. the only 1 exercise you have to do is the swimming , 1 hour daily swimming will give you a shape but you have to be regular . with the good diet i.e low carb , heigh in protein . good luck !!

I have been walking with Mady everyday and started doing my hatha yoga CD from my teacher. So hopefully that does the trick but if anyone finds something better please share!!!

One day i then made it worse by rushing my shoulder workout which left my neck feeling tight and swollen. I then felt dizzy and stopped working out. I rested for about a week and now i can't seem to have a proper workout without feeling light headed, tingly face feeling, sinus blocked, ear blocked, face goes a bit numb. I have been working out for 3 years and have never experienced anything like this.

I can still do curls with 5 lbs and I know the stretch bands are good and they make another type that looks like a jump rope that can be used for curls and for your triceps. I have found I can still use the swiss ball for exercises that replace the bench and other things I did.

I increase the weights I'm using, but not much is happening. At home, all you can do is use hand weights or ankle weights, or resistance bands.

I have all settings on easy and beginner (not crazy, heheheh) My problem/question is: My heart rate goes up very quickly and I'm thinking my heart rate recovery time is really bad. I didn't test it exactly, but am pretty sure that I sweat and my heart beats rather fast for a while afterward.
Avatar n tn if you start running/walking/cycling for 30-60 min at least 3 times a week you will burn fat from everywhere. You will lose fat from muffin top, love handles, tummy, legs,arms etc. For any extra question or advice send me a message. hope i can help.
Avatar m tn Hey, so yesterday I was in the gym and the last workout I did before playing basketball was a sort of pectoral contractor where you pull weighted handles together until your hands meet in the middle of your chest. It was my first time on the machine, but I did my usual weight and reps. When I got home I noticed the right side of my chest was really tight. Usually when I get this feeling, I just stretch and after a pop it goes away.
