I also still have my wisdom teeth, and while the top 2 have come in, the left bottom wisdom tooth is severely impacted, and I know it is swelling the gum area around my other back left molar and is often sore, (think its called Pericoronitis).
The only area where I usually feel any pain in my mouth is directly under my impacted left bottom wisdom tooth. Sometimes I can feel a bit of pain coming from the tonsil area, but not severe.

Why doesn't he just fill the cavity? I never heard of pulling a tooth because of a tiny cavity. My dentist doesn't work like that. I lost one wisdom tooth because I injured it but the other three are fine and dandy and I intend to keep them. I don't understand this pull happy approach.
Pictures a little bit hard to see cause of the discoloration but ya, the cheek biting in that back area next to the wisdom tooth should be gone once the wisdom tooth is gone.
I don't think a whole month is necessary for recovery from an extraction. It seems like your extraction should be fine. Perhaps the other wisdom teeth are more complicated.
A dentist told me to extract my 6th tooth and he can push the 7th tooth into the place of 6th tooth for later wisdom tooth (I did not mention the wisdom-8th tooth with him). Then, in such case, I thought may be the wisdom tooth can have a place to grow up.
I'm wondering if the act of "pushing" the 7th tooth to replace the 6th tooth is possible? How long would it usually takes? (Few months or a year?

if the problem is a wisdom tooth pull it. if you are using wisdom teeth as an example of never having a tooth pulled and another tooth is the problem get the root canal. root canals sound scary but they cause minimal pain and its better for the overall health of your mouth to keep teeth if possible. good luck!
I had my wisdom tooth pulled out at about 18 weeks with no problems. In fact I didn't bleed (didn't even need gauze in the chair) or need any pain killers whatsoever & ate lunch about an hour after. I'm not kidding myself, I know I got lucky as I've heard some nasty stories and your experience may not be anything like mine. You have to weigh it up, if it's causing you pain or is infected/impacted then it's worth doing!

Well I had my wisdom tooth pulled on Monday.It had to be the worst experience.After 2 1/2 hrs of grinding,pulling,pushing and cutting,the doctor gave up and had to send me to someone else.My appt was at 9:00 and I left at 12:30.The next dentist couldn't get me in until 3:00.By the time I got to that appt all the numbing shots wore off and they had to numb me all over again.That dentist took another 1 1/2 hours to get it out.
hi all i had a wisdom tooth took out last friday had to go bk to dentist today as i had a rally bad taste coming out of it and they said i had a bit of an infection but the salt water had sorted it so they cleaned all the tooth out and packed it my question is whilst its packed cud i still rinse it out with salt water thank u
