my mom swears by putting a tea bag in her mouth. she always has teeth problems. and thank God we don't loose teeth with every baby! I'm on #6.

So on Wednesday I was operated, had my wisdom teeth removed as well as a huge cyst that was lodged in my sinus. The day after the operation I was all right (considering all the painkillers I was taking), but starting Friday at about 2:30 in the morning the pain got worse. I was at the check-up Friday afternoon and she said everything looked great, and that it was normal for the pain to continue for up to a week.

I am in no way a "certified" dental expert, however, when someone (myself included) spends countless hours on the internet trying to find the source of a "smell problem", you tend to learn a thing or two..... Anyway, it sounds to me that you MAY have what's called "impacted wisdom teeth." It's where your wisdom tooth/teeth are stuck between open and close in your gum.

I'm 24, and I had my wisdom teeth taken out about three years ago, and everything has been free of complications, until possibly now. It started as a sore throat, swollen lymph nodes ect; and infection, and I noticed I had a small sore were my wisdom tooth used to be. Over three days the infection has gotten much worse. It's a constant ache in my jaw, and is very painful to open my mouth or chew. the area is hot, very swollen, and tastes kinda like blood.

They discharged me with nothing whatsoever for pain (just take Tylenol if needed) and told me to put a wet tea bag over the four spots where the teeth had been removed to prevent bleeding. That was back in the 60's. Needless to say, I was pacing the floor for the following 3 nights - could not sleep from the pain. My parents did nothing. I kept the four huge extracted wisdom teeth, thinking I might put them on a bracelet to remind me that I was a survivor. They looked like ivory.

the symptoms are teeth hurt, vomiting, mucsles hurt in stomach it has been going and going for a week and a half and i know my wisdom teeth should have been taken out about 5 yrs ago. and when i brush my teeth it is a reddish brown color.

Do wisdom teeth effect the inner ear?

I have an exploratory laparoscopy in a week and a half for infertility issues and suspected endo. I haven't really had surgery aside from my wisdom teeth, and as a complete and utter emetophobe I am petrified of being sick that day or so afterwards from the anesthesia/pain meds. I was wondering if you all have any tips for avoiding sickness post-surgery. Did the scopolamine patch work for you? Zofran? I would love any advice to ease my mind! Thanks so much!!

I'm 16 and a half and my second wisdom teeth are just about to break through, every night I'm waking up in agony with the pain from one side of my mouth. I've tried taking ibuprofen and paracetamol and also using bonjela at the same time, but I'm still in so much pain, what can I do? My exams are soon and I don't want the pain to affect them!

I had my wisdom teeth pulled over the summer. I was not pregnant but I couldnt imagine not having ibuprofen afterwards. I cant handle vicodin so I lived on ibuprofen. It was very painful for weeks afterwards, the bottoms were impacted. I would try to wait if u can, recovering will be painful when u cant take meds.

Definitely see about having your wisdom teeth removed by an oral surgeon as opposed to a general dentist. Chances are with a general dentist, the most you would receive as far as sedation would be gas, although some dentists are now using what they call "sedation dentistry" where you take an oral medication about an hour before your appointment to help relax you.

I'm 15 weeks and my wisdom teeth is killing me.I don't want to risk getting it taking out and I don't want to take pills.Are there any numbing creams?
