I'm 22 years old and a smoker (not sure if that matters) but for awhile now (a year or so) i will throw up what I'm guessing is bile. it is lime green in color and comes out very "watery" and "mucus" like. It happens right when i wake up and take a shower. after i brush my teeth i get extremely nauseous and throw this "substance" up, it last all of about 10 min. I feel fine before and after.
My 8 month shih tzu has been throwing up bright yellow bile every other day. Sometimes he throws up in the middle of the night, but most of the time it is between 10 and 3 in the afternoon. We have recently switched his food from beneful (which his old owners had him on) to Innova Evo with chicken. I have read that this is caused by an empty stomach. He eats twice a day, and most times when he throws up he has food down, he just isnt eating it. But he seems to enjoy the food when he eats it.
My little westie, approx. 10 years old has recently starting throwing up bile. I spoke to the vet and he feels it is allergies and she is due to come in for her first ever allergy shot. However the vet is out of town till Thur. and now she is not eating, but drinking what seems like quite a bit of water and then throwing it up. What can I do to make her more comfortale for now? I did give her 1/2 of Cimetidine (doggie Pepcid) just a few minutes ago.
She always had a sensitive stomach and tended to throw up if she ate something other than her food or if she drank her water too fast but now she is throwing up yellow bile a couple times a week on an empty stomach.
About a month ago she coughed up blood so we took her to the vet. He did a chest xray and thought she may have cancer because of some shawdowy patches on her lungs and her heart was lifted above where it should be. He then did blood tests and a trachial wash??
t anything it was just that disgusting yellow bile. Since 11pm last night I have thrown up 6 times all of it being the bile. I cannot hold anything down. I had just a small drink of water and seconds later I had to rush to the bathroom. I don't know if this is pregnancy related or am I sick. I'm 9 weeks and haven't got sick before just nausea. I don't know if I should call doctor or just see if it passes. I also have a horrible headache that's not going away.
my 6 year old is throwing up (sometime projectile) and complains of pain in his stomach for 4 days. Eating BRAT diet but still throws up. My 11 lb male Toy poodle is throwing up blood. Its mixed with yellow bile and some times its light red ,or orange. he wants to eat grass then throws up. Hes eating regularly, drinks water, plays is his normal self but has been throwing up blood every few days now. ve scanned my entire torso, done endoscopy, nothing... nothing comes up. My gastro doctor, ( best in our area) sent me back to my pcp saying he just had no idea... after removing my gallbladder, thinking that was the problem... Im exhausted...and this is no life.
No doctors have ANY ANSWERS.. Ive made huge life changes to fix this myself.. nothing helps.
I just started making kefir and kombucha hoping that would help...no changes .. spent day in bed..
Is she ok now? Or still sick?
A pup who throws up more than once or twice needs to go to the vet because there is the danger of dehydration. Puppies are more susceptible.
I would be inclined to take her to the vet anyway, because throwing up bile is not a sign that the puppy is hungry, it's a sign that something is amiss. It could be anything. An upset stomach, an infection, a foreign body...etc Did you, or the people you got your puppy from make sure she had her vaccinations?
My son was playing with her with one of her favorite squeaky toys and all of a sudden she stopped and threw up. There was no liquid it was kind of like mush. Anyway, the thing is she ate breakfast at 7 AM. So this happened 5 hours after eating. Why wasn't that food digested and long gone by then? She usually eats 7:00, 3:30, 9:30, roughly. This is not the first time she has done this, vomited while playing.
the first day he had diarrhea now he just been throwing up white foam and yellow bile! he is very weak... i dont have any money to take him to a vet tonight..i am gonna work on getting some money together and take him tomorrow. does anyone know what i can force him to eat and how? I don't want to panic, but my dog vomited a very large pile of bile (white). Before I rush him (30 lb Boston Terrier, 8 yrs old) to the doctor, I would like to know what to watch for and what some common causes might be.

Mini pin 7 years old. Began throwing up bile on Friday. Threw up 3 times. Saturday once, Sunday once and Monday once, all early morning. Monday I took her to the vet. Tested negative for Parvo. Was given a IV to give her 2 ml. per day and 5 shots to be given every 8 hours frollowed by a pill to be given every 8 hours once the shots were given for the vomitting. She drinks water but has no interest in eating. She is allert, but not as chipper as usual.
Every once in a while, my dog will hack & sometimes hack up some phlegm. I checked with my vet & they said it is most likely her bile fluid. Dogs do that when they don't eat after so many hours. So my dog would do it in the morning, which would make sense since she hasn't eaten all night. She just did it one morning last week. What does it look like? As the last posting stated, is it yellow colored bile? That's what my dog hacks up.
