Avatar f tn I am more a diet coke person. How does anyone drink half their body weight of water? Why is it supposed to make you feel so much better? I still have constant headaches but that is my only sx. If i could just get rid of headaches I would not feel like I am on any medication. I am so thankful to feel as good as I do. I just need to somehow make myself drink the water or my sx might get worse. I have never been much of a water drinker.
148588 tn?1465778809 They particularly dislike state laws that allow homeowners with solar panels to sell power they don’t need back to electric utilities. So they’ve been pushing legislatures to impose a surtax on this increasingly popular practice, hoping to make installing solar panels on houses less attractive.

We are approaching a tipping point at which the falling cost of solar energy and improving battery technology will transform the way we power our lives, turning homes into generators and cars into moving power storage units.
Avatar m tn I had to start suboxone after coming off prescription pain pills. Why do I have so much anxiety? It's usually much worse in the afternoon.

Does anyone follow up on these companies or do we just give them a half a Billion dollars and a Pat on the Back? WASHINGTON (AP) - A California solar-panel manufacturer once touted by President Barack Obama as a beneficiary of his administration's economic policies - as well as a half-billion-dollar federal loan - is laying off 1,100 workers and filing for bankruptcy. 163305 tn?1333668571 I just had a thought (shocking, I know)... What if research scientists, engineers, R&D folks, from all over the globe, pool their respective governments grants into a big pile in order create a multi-national R&D effort? I mean, just say that the US gives $25Billion to hydrogen-powered vehicle research, the UK does the same thing for IT'S R&D people, Australia does the same, Germany does the same, Japan does the same.

1301089 tn?1290666571 Continued Cutting the cost of solar power The claim: Government stimulus money will lead to "cutting the cost of solar power in half by 2015, putting it on par with the cost of retail electricity from the grid." The facts: That projection assumes a huge payoff from stimulus spending on technology improvements in solar energy.
148588 tn?1465778809 Wind turbines and solar panels accounted for more than two-thirds of all new electric generation capacity added to the nation’s grid in 2015, according to a recent analysis by the U.S. Department of Energy. The remaining third was largely new power plants fueled by natural gas, which has become cheap and plentiful as a result of hydraulic fracturing. It was the second straight year U.S. investment in renewable energy projects has outpaced that of fossil fuels.
Avatar f tn probably much ado about nothing. I spend lots of time outdoors, swimming, etc., and so are many people. Never heard of such thing. I know you can get eye damage if you watch solar eclipse unaided, but looking at the sun for a few minutes?

Avatar m tn Hi again I would like to add that yes we have all see the posts about side effects that some people have experienced. Most if not all are related to treatment with interferon and while the problems those people have experienced are not good they are experienced by a minority of patients. Also I believe at least some of them had other medical conditions which most likely complicated their treatment or their livers were already in bad shape to begin with.
Avatar m tn The number of significant solar damage to eyes world wide is much much less than expected and our practice received virtually no calls are we are (our North office) in the area of totality
Avatar n tn I've had angioedema around the vermillion border of my lips for approximately 4 months now. I feel fine otherwise and my CBC, HIV and C1Q tests came back normal/healthy. I've also been treated with antibiotics, antihistimines and prednisone and it hasn't helped the swelling at all. At this point, my doctor suspects that I might have a solar allergy and he and prescribed me Plaquenil (200mg BID). I've been taking it for 5 days now and so far there have been no results.
535822 tn?1443976780 I don't know about all that, but it seems like no matter what other options they use for energy and economizing, it's still very expensive for the average person 'til the costs drop down to a price most people can afford. I mean, we all know that electric cars, hybrid cars, solar and wind power are all reasonable efforts to try for alternative energy sources, but the start up costs make such things out of reach for the average person.
Avatar f tn 10 hours ago Posted by CNN's Gregory Wallace (CNN) - It took no advice from the Imperial Senate to reach this conclusion: the U.S. government won't be building a Death Star. A White House official responded Friday to an online petition on its website proposing the government turn what is “Star Wars” fiction into reality - you know, to boost the economy.
148588 tn?1465778809 storyId=195272190 "Most wind energy manufacturers are in Republican districts, and most wind energy production comes out of Republican districts. So for Republicans to be against wind energy, they're hurting their own constituents." This is another example of how non-representative our government has become. 'Representatives' vote the way the lobbyists tell them to. And yeah -- both sides.
197575 tn?1215532624 My insurance probably won't cover thyrogen shots for my year scan and thyroglobulin test. Does anyone know how much 3 shots would cost me??? I don't look forward to going off my meds for several weeks since it took me 7-8 months to finally feel good after my tt. I was on 8 different synthroid doses until we got it right. I'm on 250mcg. I would rather pay for them then be miserable.
Avatar m tn I followed it up for over a year and doctors said no progression, I really forgot what they said though in regards to the future. Does solar retinopathy get worse or is the damage done and that’s it, nothing more nothing less and nothing more will come from it? Will I suddenly lose more vision? Will it spread? Etc. Some Google searches say it can cause macular degeneration years and years down the line, my doctors never mentioned this and they said “it doesn’t progress” but my memory is fuzzy.
