631359 tn?1222374022 I have lost some weight, but i am not losing anything at this point. I watch what I eat, i eat 5 times small meals, I am riding a bike 6 miles a day. I started out just walking but now i have started riding now. I also do weights a few times a week, 10 lbs weights doing 30 reps at a time upper arms and core. What am I doing wrong?
Avatar m tn t losing weight I lost motivation. I really like Zumba so it keeps me motivated to go even when I am not losing weight. I have been a dancer since I was 3; which is part of the reason I tend to lean towards Zumba. I got shin splints running and my body hurt all the time.. I don't have that with Zumba. Honestly; I would do any dance cardio that would keep me motivated to keep going. Zumba just happens to be the easiest class to find.

But while I was on this startedto feel light headed, tierd I stop taking the hcg drop for percaution since I did missed my cycle for may and now June cycle was supposed to start on the 8th of each month. I did take two pregnancy test which shows negative. is it possible to be pregnant even though test shows negative, I have been aching inmy legs and in lower back. someone please response need ur opinion.
Avatar f tn I know that if I restrict my calories more, I would lose faster. But I have lost 40+ pounds twice before and am affraid of just losing more muscle. So like I said I am trying to be healthier and strong for the long haul.
Avatar f tn I run a lot, and even while I was gaining weight I would run a lot. I increased my distance running which probably helped, but what really worked best for me was adding a little bit of weight lifting (I'm talking about 5 to 12 pounds weights) a couple of times a week. Putting on lean muscle definitely helped rev up my metabolism. I didn't go to a gym, just did at home weights like shoulder press, chest press, bicep curl with 8lb weights and deadlift, calf raises with 12 lb weights.
Avatar n tn t have much to offer for fast weight loss because I have found that the methods to do that are generally not the healthiest. So, I'd focus on clean eating and cardio/strength combination. And just do a lot of it. You'll be running a lot, so I'd do some long runs. My boys are swimmers and I swim and that is great exercise and I've found my kids have been able to transition into endurance sports due to their swimming.
Dog I have seen a nutritionist and she said that she does not know why I am not losing the weight. she also said that amytriptiline could be a possible cause. For past six weeks I am eating 1600 calories because my foot is hurting and i have got a tear in my hip. this has put an restriction on my activities. also i do not feel hungry but satiated with my food I forgot to mention that my height is 5'8". I am really frustrated with my weight. I never weighted this high.

Why am I not losing any weight? In fact I gained 3 lbs. Do I need to cut out weights completely? Do I need to go to the gym 5 days a week and do more cardio? I ate very few carbs for many years. I have just now started eating a few because evreyone says I should.
Avatar m tn I used to just eat protein bars but I am trying to incorperate some food into it like a turkey burger..etc. Problem is that I am not losing weight at all if anything its goin up a little everyday! I usually take in between 850-1000 calories a day. I was told that was the reason I didnt lose weight then I increased to 1200 and same thing!! I have never had this problem can some one PLEASE HELPPPP!!
Avatar f tn Sound like your doing a lot of things right. Have you thought of keeping a food journal, if even for a couple of weeks, to make sure your getting enough calories and the right kinds of foods? You could also measure yourself to see if your losing inches instead of weight. Don't forget even if you know what your doing your body sometimes takes a little longer to figure it out. Don't stop what your doing.

I am very confused I have been eating btwn 1400-1500 calories daily. I drink btwn 96-140 oz of water daily. I ride my bike M-F for 30min. and M,W,F I do 3 reps of 20, pushups, crunches, squats, superman, (weights) arms extensions, back extensions, curls, and chest extensions.
Avatar f tn Hey, I don't know if you TLC channel but I do and I was watching a show about women being pregnant and the woman on there had lost weight as well. I am 16 wks pregnant and I have lost weight as well about ten pounds but I am about 5'10 and weight about 180 and I wasnt sick. But just cutting out the junk food really helps and its unessary food you and the baby don't need.
Avatar f tn I have taken to weighing myself twice a day now, once in the morning and once in the evening so that I am not tempted to eat at night. I am so frustrated by this gain, and am in fear of school starting only to gain another 6-8lbs. I fear developing an eating disorder. I feel obsessive, out of control of my weight, and would like to drop this 10-12 lbs or at least maintain a weight 8 lbs less than this.
Avatar f tn I weighed myself this morning and the scale read 105.5 pounds! So, what is going on!? I should be losing weight but instead I am steadily gaining. I am so confused about what is happening right now and I am beyond frustrated. By the way, I highly doubt my weight gain is due to increased muscle mass. It takes females a lot longer than a few weeks to gain enough muscle to account for weight gain especially while on a calorie deficit. I would appreciate any insightful tips.
Avatar n tn As far as exercise, get some weights and do some weight training, or do some push-ups. Cardio is not necessary for losing weight. In fact, I believe that running too much can be bad for you. That's a whole other topic of conversation. Stick to high-intensity workouts for shorter periods & you'll be healthier. Also, remember that it's not what you do at the gym that makes you look/feel great, it's what you do at home in the kitchen that counts.
Avatar f tn I used to think running meant running forever and at a fast rate like a speed racer. But as long as your heart is pumping, and you don't over-exert your limits, running slower at a longer distance is always your best bet! It burns more calories!
