1305767 tn?1361192676 I get heart palpitations (pounding or fast heartbeat) when I'm having an anxiety or panic attack but more recently I've been having chest pain after the attack is over. Never during the attack but when it's done my chest hurts right where my heart is located. Of course now I'm thinking my heart has been weakened or damaged some how from all the palpitations I've had over the years.
Avatar f tn At your age, it would be VERY rare for you to be having chest pain as you describe. Crushing chest pain in almost every case is caused by blocked arteries which are located on the outside of the heart itself. A 45 year old man having a heart attack will often times refer to the pain as a crushing which is what you are describing. It takes at least 20 years of eating junk food to block the arteries on the heart to where a heart attack can occur.
Avatar m tn where were the pains located as gall bladder attack is nasty and pains radiate on the right under the ribs and into the back ?
Avatar f tn Hi Nae1116. Unfortunately all the doctors you've seen cannot put it together, because of "specialty" bias! It is a very common, but dangerous fault of the conventional medical model. Did the Neurologist ask for an MMA test? No, it's not within the protocols of neurology. Yet, you could have a "functional" B12 Methylocobalmin (bioactive & methylated form of B12) deficiency, should your standard tests return normal results for B12 cobalamin levels.
Avatar m tn ve been told that the heart is much higher up, but if this is so, why do I feel my heart beat so strongly where I have pain? Where exactly is the heart? One doctor told me it was anxiety and that it's all in my head, which he put me on zoloft and vistaril and none of that has helped. I KNOW it's not anxiety! I've never had anxiety problems, but these pains caused me to become anxious.
Avatar n tn I also think a lot depends on where the blockage is located. I personally suffer far more if the left Circumflex forms a blockage. It causes throat discomfort, nausea, chest pain, jaw ache, dizziness and my blood pressure drops. I can also say that my chest pains have always been in the centre of the chest, never radiating into the arms or back etc. My legs also tend to tingle.
Avatar f tn ..... 21 centimeters from the top of your pelvis is where the top of your uterus should be, he's in between the top of your uterus and the top of your pelvis.
Avatar n tn The stress related to the surgery is not likely to cause you the heart attack. What may however is the fact that you will have to stop taking some of your meds. This is especially important if you had a stent placed in any of your heart arteries. If you did not have a cathterization or an angioplasty done at that time of your heart attack you should have a stress test to assess your risk. I am assuming that you are not having any chest pain or shortness of breath at rest or with exertion.
Avatar f tn Complex lesions, in this case the blockage is simply located in a spot where its difficult to seat a stent properly, often this occurs at a bifurcation, or a spot where an artery splits into seperate branches. Techniques such as the 'kissing balloon' often allow us to mold the stent into the proper shape, however these techniques are technically challenging and require the placement of wires and balloons in very specific places.
516342 tn?1211550964 Over the last several years there were a few times that I noticed if I took a deep breath it would hurt very bad under the breast bone area of my chest were my heart is located. At that time I could only take little short breaths until the pain went away which usually only lasted for 1 minute or so. Well now for the last two days I am feeling the same kind of aching consistintly but not as bad as the times that it only lasted for a minute.

277836 tn?1359666174 you have never had MY oven turkey!!!! I admit turkey on the grill is good. It is just not a Thanksgiving without a turkey in the oven surrounded by stuffing or dressing whatever you happen to call it. One year when my son was just four he throught I had killed and was cooked thee "Big Bird." I made the comment, "Boy that's a big bird I have cooking." He didn't know a turkey was a bird. He cried until I explained it. Kids!! They are so innocent.
Avatar m tn Even this morning when I woke up, I had a sharp jolt of pain where the heart is located. Just in case, though, he scheduled me to have an echocardiogram next Friday, so we'll see what happens!
Avatar m tn Haven't had a heart attack that I know of.
277836 tn?1359666174 Who here thinks they have what it takes to become the ULTIMATE GRILL CHAMP I know I could all I have to do is load the grill and hit the highway and get there and start the cooking dang sounds good dosent it ?
Avatar m tn Lets hope he's not out hunting!! He did have a heart attack in February. I think he was so vocal about the War on Terror after leaving office because he considered it his baby and didn't like the way it was being handled. Personally I agree with him. I believe terrorism to be a military problem and not a legal one. I disagreed when Bush used the civilian court route. But **** Cheney would be a good one to have around now for the disaster in the Gulf.
Avatar m tn The light-headedness was due to reduction in cardiac output due to stimulation of the vagus nerve on the toilet. The nerve is located next to the anal sphincter. Your husband needs an immediate (read as of yesterday) cardiac and neurological evaluation. If it happens again you have a 911 call and he should be transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Avatar m tn You could have had a minor heart attack and/or there can be some blockage of the heart vessels that feed into the suptum. No pericardial effusion indicates the area between the heart muscle and pericardial sac (outer lining) is normal and free of any leakage..
532476 tn?1214517184 Theres a very good chance that you have peripheral arterial disease given your history of stroke and heart attack. The test to evaluate is called the ABI. It takes 5-10 minutes and can immediately identify the presence of blockage.
1540869 tn?1351214013 I don't think the bump has anything whatsoever to do with your heart simply because it was in the area where your heart is located. I also don't think it has anything to do with stress. If it is swollen and hurts when touched, in my humble and non-medical opinion, I believe it should be biopsied or lanced and the contents examined. You've been on this forum almost a year now..........how many posts have you read about "stress bumps?" I'm guessing yours is the first.
Avatar m tn I opened a new grill brick from its plastic cover next to the grill and table where the bread and buns are cut. Some of the grill brick dust/small particles fell from the plastic on the table and possibly on the grill. If some of the particles from the grill brick got on the food like bread/bun or a burger and someone ingested those particles/grill brick dust would they be ok? From what I read grill brick is not toxic and not harmful is that true.
Avatar f tn Actually, the brain can make do, depending on the age and health of the person, as well as where the mass was located, the brain is pretty good and doing work-arounds. It may not happen immediately, but it can happen in some. There is no hard and fast rule - specifics are needed - like the size, type, location and what the tumor or cyst is. Some tiny ones can be troublesome depending on location, while people can have large ones and not notice for a long time.
Avatar n tn Hi Judy- very interesting question. You have mentioned several issues and I will address them separately. 1. Stress cardiomyopathy (CM)/"heart attack" - We see this quite often. Stress CM has several other names - "Tako Tsubo"/"broken heart"/apical-ballooning CM. It refers to a condition where (mostly) women develop chest pain after suffering some sort of emotional or physical stress, and the EKG and blood work suggest a significant heart attack.
