ve heard about taking Robitussin or Mucinex (guaifenesin) as and OTC aide and was wondering if anyone has had any success with it? Also, I've heard great reviews for Daily Wellness FertilityBlend from GNC. Is that one any good or is just a standard Prenatal vitamin a better choice?

Also if you do not do well with elixirs you may want to take Mucinex instead. It is Guaifenesin as well in an oral tablet form. You are supposed to use this before you ovulate and not after because Guaifenesin is thought to cross the placental barrier which means your fetus would be exposed to it. I have no clue what affect it has on the fetus. My body has always produced alot of EWCM, but I noticed when I used Guaifenesin, it increased my cervical mucus even more. I hope this helps friend.

I have been tracking my period and mucus for a few months now and this month we decided to TTC I used an OPK test and we had sex the day it was positive(12th) I have been eating like usual and past few days I have been feeling nauseous and a little more tired. 30-8pm prior to not drinking fluids for 3-4 hrs. if you hav 30 day cycle, u can start from CD 12-20. also for CM- i tried it on one month just to see if its work or not, its drinking ruby red grapfruit juice. regular grapfruit juice will work too, but ruby is sweeter. however, drinlk every 2-4 hrs then u will see very good amount of CM on the same day.

It is used while TTC to thin the CM to make it more sperm-friendly. 1-2 tsp. twice daily about six days before suspected ovulation day until the thermal shift. The product you need to look for as the ONLY ACTIVE INGREDIENT IS GUAIFENESIN. Any other kind of mucous loosening med. with this and other stuff in it you SHOULDN'T TAKE. I've started on the generic of mucinex and it only has 400 MG of ONLY GUAIFENESIN. I would say ask your doctor and if they say you shouldn't take it because of birth defects then don't. Also, remember you're only supposed to take it 5 days before O and some doc's say you can take it the day after O.

Have your ob/gyne schedule and ultrasound to make sure all is ok. Its very common for women our age to have fibroids which are known to block tubes or make it harder for implantation. I have fibroids but thankfully they are on the outside of the uterus (which doesnt affect fertility). If all looks ok, you may not be ovulating every month. You can have a period without having ovulated. A sure sign of ovulation is having your progesterone tested. If it is elevated it means you did ovulate. I would ask for a referral to a fertility specialist. It doesn't sound like your doctor is doing all that s/he can in order to help you achieve pregnancy. Sending a woman home with Clomid and telling her to have sex just isn't responsible enough for her and you're paying them a lot. :-( Hope you do get pregnant regardless of no CM!

Guaifenesin, how much is an Overdose? My daughter 11 years old 100 lbs (big for her age), took (the correct dose) 5mL cough and cold medicine that had the following in that dose. Guaifenesin, USP 100 mg, Dextromethorpan HBr, USP 10 mL. Phenylephedrine HCI, USB 5mg. But then she also took (the correct dose) 10 mg of a prescription medicine Guaifenesin-Codeine syrup (generic for Robitussin AC syrup). It doesn't state on the label the quantity of Guaifenesin mg in the 5mL dose.

After the cough subside I started to have throat pain again when I wake up then it would proceed to get better during the day and then towards the end of the day it's uncomfortable to say the least .
