1936698 tn?1333915193 Hormone levels are used early... chances are when you went for your prenantal blood workup they checked your levels... unless they were very low for how far along you should have been or even if they were higher there is a good chance they were never checked again...
Avatar f tn So I had to go to the er on Friday cause I was bleeding, they checked my hormone level and it was a little over 36,000 and when I went back today, it was only 40,000, a little more, and it supposed to be double is that a problem? Or could be any problems with the baby?
Avatar f tn That IS something to get checked then. When we have a slow thyroid, it can impact our hormones and our cycle. I understand your fear for the 'green'. All the other things you are experiencing are easily attributable to other things. My guess is, again, that you have a cyst. I would also guess that your hormones aren't in balance. Ovarian failure is not something I'd be concerned with--- your hormones regulate ovulation. That is the likely culprit for period cessation.
Avatar f tn I thought my levels sounded really high to be 5 weeks.
Avatar m tn Talk to your doctor about getting your thyroid tested and other functions, as well as getting your hormone levels checked. All of these questions need your doctor's input.

4974520 tn?1366757591 Oh okay well i had to ask the doctor what mine were because when they do test to confim ur pregnancy or for any reason to do with ur pregnancy they get the levels to see how it is progressing..
Avatar f tn Ok. I have had two miscarriages. The first one they said was because of the chromosomes. I was only seven weeks. The second time- everything seemed to be going fine. I thought I was about 10 weeks and I went to the emergency room and they said I needed to go see my ob. So I did the next day and we figured out that I had a blighted ovum and nothing was developing. Well I just found out two weeks ago I was pregnant. Well- I went to the er because I started having severe cramps and bleeding.
Avatar n tn I had her thyroid checked because I have hypothyroidism. The tested showed normal ranges. In August I discovered that I had Hashimoto and Tumid Lupus. I had her doctors test her for antibodies and they also did an ultrasound on her thyroid. The ultrasound found a nodule one side and a cluster of them on the other. (They said they would just keep a watch on them.) Her labs in August showed: ALT high- 36 normal 5-32 TSH 2.
Avatar f tn m not sure why your doctor would tell you to go completely off the synthroid; would probably have been better to adjust your dosage instead. You have to be consistent in taking the med or you will never know what's working or what isn't. No, synthroid would not play a role in viral infections; however, if your immune system is "whacky", that could an issue. Weight gain is a symptom of being hypo, not a side effect from synthroid.
4114400 tn?1349923931 Just got back from getting more blood work done.. Hopefully my levels have gone up!
Avatar f tn Hormone levels as in HCG? I'd say no, that's not possible, there is a specific type of blood test (I believe) that you can get done to tell gender, but I don't think insurance covers it, so you'd have had to pay it out of pocket, did you have any issues that would require a specific blood test, or did you request one?
1287560 tn?1272216521 The other dr i spoke to seemed to think that i may actually get a period this month, i am trying to put on weight ready for our 4th ivf in june. P.s although my body weight is low i conceived our son naturally 3 years ago without having a period.
Avatar m tn I would go to another dr and get an us and hormone levels checked then have them schedule you for surgery if they say your levels are up and you are not pregnant again. Best of luck and longer it stays in you it can actually casue major health issues and complicate future pregnancies.
Avatar f tn They are better and go staight to the area needed instead of having to go through your system then to you uterus. I have heard alot of RE's who use the suppositories and say they are better. Messier but better. I haven't had to much problems with them. Now for you estridol levels what day were they taken? here is a link to a levels graph that might give you alot of info. http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.html#female Also are you seeing a RE or plain GYN?
Avatar f tn At which point the Free T4 hormone in the blood will be converted into T3 hormone. Again the T3 hormone are either free or attached to a protein and again only the free T3 is used at the cellular level. T4 medication because it is a "storage" hormone and not directly used takes up to 6 weeks to stabilize in the blood. Therefore don't expect to feel anything noticeable for several WEEKS. And also the fact that the dosage may or may not be enough for you.
Avatar n tn I am a 25 year old female, I had a saliva hormone kit evaluated with testosterone, DHEA, estradiol, and progesterone, also progesterone/estradiol ratio done. The results came back as this, Estradiol- normal Progesterone- Low; 47.2 (range of 127-446) Ratio of Progesterone to estradiol - 33.0 Low; (range of 200-600) Testosterone- 83.5 High; (range of 6.0-49) DHEA- 366.7 High- (range of 106-300) I can tell that i have way higher 'male hormones' than the women's hormones but, why?
Avatar f tn I had a m/c in November, a D&C actually, and my doctor said that it varies, but usually it only takes a couple of weeks to reach zero. However, my numbers were dropping SLOWLY so I was going for weekly blood checks. I actually never got to zero, and just last week I had an ultrasound and they discovered that I still had some tissue left. So, I had another D&,C and I go tomorrow to get my blood checked to see what my levels are. They should be zero by now!
1287560 tn?1272216521 Hello, just wondering if any of you lovely ladies know much about hormone levels, mine have come back but my gp is off till next week-anyway I am 41 years fsh 7.1, LH 1.3 eostrodiol 147, underneath the receptionist said it said "no action required" so I am thinking these must be normal?
Avatar n tn **** The tsh is a little hypo for most but were all different. Tsh is a pituitary hormone, but really a messenger to tell the thyroid how much hormone to produce - not really the best test for management later on. You should ask for Free T3 and Free T4 levels tested. The 'Free' part means the amount of thryroid hormones t3 and t4 in the blood available for cell use. All cells in the body need this, thats why thyroid effects the whole body.
Avatar f tn So I'm about 4-5 weeks and last Saturday my hormone level was 820 & I went to the obgyn on Thursday and it was 6,000 , what could be the cause of this ??? Please help ...
Avatar f tn They checked my cervix and it was closed. 2 days later the miscarriage happened. Ask the dr to check your hormone levels see if they are increasing.
Avatar f tn You must take thyroid hormone replacement to get your FreeT3 and FreeT4 levels to the upper 1/3 of the range. Many hypothyroids have healthy pregnancies. The key is to always get your levels tested and treated. Make sure the doctor treats your FT3 and FT4 levels, and not the TSH, which is a pituitary hormone. Did the doc say if Hashimoto's caused this? I suggest the TGab and TPOab tests and a thyroid ultrasound.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your fast responce to my questions. My Dr. said my THS is in the low normal range and that's why he wants to test it again along with FT3 and T4. He also mentioned that my calcium levels were in the high normal range. No, I have'nt had my iron and B levels checked that I know of. I'll have to find my last blood test paperwork and look. I had'nt thought about that. Can low iron and B levels cause all the same symptoms of hypothyroidism?
