Common Questions and Answers about When i sneeze my arms hurt

sneeze

Avatar n tn I have had the same pain in my chest and arms, but mine didnt come when I was ill. I was also wondering the same thing if it is serious or not? It is mostly my arms that hurt. I have had this for over 2 years now.
682891 tn?1226696230 OK, I turned 25 this last october... I played football for 6 years in school . I am 5'10" and about 240lbs.. I also have THE EXACT SAME PAIN in my arms/hands/neck when i sneeze. I have noticed that it has gotten progressively worse since around age 21 or 22... From my searching it seems that everyone with this problem has ONE thin in common, and that is that we all at one time or another played a full contact sport in our teenage years..
Avatar f tn I looked up this post because my arms seemed weak the last several days when I needed to raise them (to get down dishes, etc.) I do notice that I had been waking up with my arms over my head for a few nights (cause or symptom). I normally have an excellent back (at 62) but I somehow tweaked it yesterday and now have a pain in my lower back opposite my hip. I'm going to go to the chiropractor. I rarely get back pain, but when I do, the chiropractor fixes it immediately.
Avatar f tn A little over 2 weeks ago I sneezed, and when I did, a strong electric shock went down both arms. At first only the muscles in my forearm hurt, but by the next day I started experiencing numbness in the legs and hands and now my tongue and gums are numb The numbness in my legs is from the lower waist down. One knee keeps buckling and I'm having some difficulty walking and hands feel very clumsy.
Avatar n tn There is such a difference when they test my reflexes on my arms. My left arm hardly moves at all. I did a search one time for the tigling in my private area and let me tell you the results were not exactly what I was looking for. I just had to laugh at that one. The same swollen feeling I get in my feet I get in my arm. It was really botherting me yesterday and I always have to look and see if it's swollen even though I know it's not.
549614 tn?1315216713 It is almost impossible to turn my head completely to one side or the other... I cant lift my arms above my head. I have sooooo many other problems going on as well. IBS, Irratable bladder, chronic fatigue, Fibro, Breast lump problems, Heart problems, diverticulosis of both the bowel and bladder, massive sikin cancer, foot/feet problems, joint and muscle pain, massive muscle spasams. I could go on and on. How do I find a Dr.
Avatar m tn Here's my story. My problem started when I was about 10 years old, when I started tweezing my eyebrows and eyelashes. I remember the first time I did it, I was looking in the mirror and just wanted to tweeze the hairs in between my eyebrows. I went too far back, so it looked like I tweezed half my eyebrows off. I also began pulling my eyelashes out, so it was literally bare in the middle. I eventually stopped pulling eyelashes, and thank God they grew back.
Avatar n tn In my case, it clicks on the left side when I swallow unless I turn my head to the left or tip my head way back - if I turn my head to the right or tip my head down, the click is even worse. Mine started after I had a really bad sore throat, but who knows, that may have just been a coincidence. Since I've had it for ~20 years, I know it isn't anything too serious, it hasn't gotten noticeably worse, but I'd still like it to go away.
Avatar f tn It is getting worse day by day, it started just hurting when i cough now its when i move or i wake up and stand. It hurts to breath to sneeze, to lift my arms above my head... everything... I went to the ER and the ran blood work and did and x-ray said they didn't see anything and it could be my gallbladder or a muscle strain....i just dont see why it is getting worse.....
Avatar m tn It began in 1976 and re occurs every 5 to 6 years. I get a sore throat (not tonsils but when you swallow) I now go straight on antibiotics and use Bricanyl inhaler although it doesnt seem to have much effect except to cause alot of mucus coughed up from the lungs. It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out.
Avatar n tn The doc said to hold your belly tight with your arms when you feel a sneeze coming on, and to try to get to an upright position, that its worse when it happens laying down. Now that i'm further along, it doesn't hurt when i sneeze anymore. good luck! w.
Avatar f tn I get severe abdominal pain during a certain point of my menstrual cycle when I am running but not when I actually have my period. It also happens when i am running outside, and seems to occur after I reach a certain level of exertion that i don;t seem to get to when i go to the gym. I'm 27 and have had this problem since i got my first periond, and it's only an issue for about two weeks of the month. It can come on during the run, or when i am walking to cool down.
Avatar f tn I had the same thing happen to me about 6 months ago. I had just laid my head on my pillow when I felt a snap inside the left side of my head, accompanied by a super loud pop, again inside my head. I jumped and waited for another one, but it never came. The next day, I started having small bloody noses in only the left nostril. I still get them at least once a week, but happen to feel normal. My insurance ran out so I couldn't go to see my doctor and hoped for the best.
620923 tn?1452919248 I didn't tell the neurologist of all the years of trying to find the cause numbness extending down arms into the hands in addition to head pressure, pain in my neck, memory loss/saying weird stuff, ringing in my ears, imbalanced, light headed, head pounding to the extent I feel as if I'll pass out if I bend over laugh or cough and sometimes when I sit my chest feels tight just below my bust. I also have a lump in my throat all of the time, I can feel every time I swallow.
137307 tn?1330977597 I was crying at the neurologist that would not listen and telling her that if I laughed it felt like someone was dropping a car on my head! I hated it other times too but when I would end up in pain because I laughed at or with my kids it just broke my heart. For me the Chiari cough headaches were my biggest problem! Not everyone gets these pains but from what I understand it is a pretty good indicator of needed an MRI so that is supposed to be helpful.
429155 tn?1205676864 Just after Christmas 07 my 40mg 2x a day started, then I caught a virus, and was very ill, and it just would not go away, nausea, aches and pains all over, I blamed it all on this virus, never really suspecting the real culprit, yes you know don't you, it was because I had cut down on the oxycontin, and my body was craving it, this went on for 7 weeks, until one day it dawned on me what it was, by this time I had become tired all the time, getting up early and doing nothing, then backwards an
Avatar n tn Hi, Not sure if this is the correct forum to post to, but the Sexuality one seems full for the day. Me and my girlfriend dont have sex yet, but do fondle and try to give each other orgasms. I dont have a problem with mine, but do get confused about her. She does like me touching and massaging her down there but doesnt let me do it continously. She says that it stops giving her pleasure after some time. I am not sure if she has an orgasm and I desperately want her to have it.
Avatar n tn I had sore eyeballs when I first started treatment...maybe for about the first month or so. It hurt to move them side to side or up and down and it hurt to touch them. I went to my eye doc and he did another complete exam on me (I also had one just before I started treatment) and he didn't find anything wrong other than dry eyes. I used refresh tears many times a day throughout the rest of my treatment and it helped. If your pain continues, please see your eye doc just to make sure.
Avatar f tn 10 months prior to my surgery I fell going down a set of stairs, when I fell I reached for the banister and was closer than I thought and banged my ribs. My Dr. is sending me for PT, but I don't think it is going to help. If anyone could help it would be wonderful. I was 37 when I fell and now since that I feel like I am 90! Thank you all.
Avatar f tn To top it off I have this strange pain in the front of the right side of my neck, hurts worse when I cough, sneeze, talk, swallow or look left. I get a string of pain going down into my left clavicle. Lesion is 3mm, neuro said its kind of small and isnt sure ms or not? MRA, MRI of thoracic(he wouldn't order cervical mri, said there was no need to)sed rate, ana, ssb, anticoagliation, and few others I cant remember. Also wanted me to see rheumatologist.
Avatar m tn I don't have shortness of breath, fever, cough, cold, chill, weight loss, rapid shallow breathing and yeah it didn't hurt my chest when I sneeze. So pleuritis is ruled out. I never had chicken pox, no burning pain or sensitive skin, no blisters or rash.Shingles is ruled out. No tachypnea, cough, hemoptysis, dyspnea, cyanosis, painful or swollen arm or leg, bloody sputum. I don't have any of those symptoms.Pulmonary embolism ruled out.
Avatar m tn Again when the pain is at its worst I actually cannot sneeze because at the top of the motion it hurts so much that my body just kind of aborts the sneeze. Deep breaths into the chest only hurt a bit, but still noticeably. Many of the online-checklist moves (arms up, to the side, across body, across and behind the back, pulling on things, etc.) do not produce much, or any, pain. The pain is in one small place, usually with some constant level, plus extra pain as per the above.
Avatar n tn Maybe some parents even woud not pay attention to this little incident but it bothers my very much. I donĀ“t should I worry little bit, much or not at all. At the moment I worry very much.
446156 tn?1275863176 I have been feeling this before only when I would sneeze or cough. But I noticed today that it hurts when I bend or reach for some thing. It hurts when I roll over at night too. Is this normal? Has any one else felt this? I'm getting SOOO uncomfortable.
Avatar m tn They seem to love the trash and the sink (different fly?). Up to 6 months ago I felt like a bug was crawling on me when I sat on my couch and bed (different apartment), our first assumption was bed bugs and we treated the house (using bombs) for these, the crawling feeling slowed but never fully stopped. We recently moved (2 months ago) and I felt the same thing on the couch and bed, even worse actually. So much so that we had to throw the couch out.
Avatar f tn One eye (never the same one) will focus on distance, and the other will remain fuzzy and unfocused for up to a few minutes. When I went to my neuro, he had me put my feet together and stand that way for a few seconds; no problem, but when he told me to close my eyes, I would have fallen if he hadn't caught me. There is a medical term for that, but I don't remember it. I also have short-term memory problems.
Avatar n tn There are no bumps on my legs or face though. I only have a few on my lower arms and like 3 bumps on my neck. But my torso and lower back are covered with them. The weird thing is that they don't itch at all!! I been checking all different websites and question from people but all their bumps itch really bad, so it really doesn't help me out too much. I am really nervous about what i have so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you soo much!!!
Avatar n tn Then because they train the people there, I got poked too far (they hit my vein but kept going) and my arm hurt for weeks. I was always nauseous, and I kept getting sick so I went down to once a week. That didn't even help. Luckily we both got jobs quickly. I haven't been back since. If you are looking into donating that's great there are a lot of things that can come of it...
Avatar n tn What kinds of questions shoudl I ask the u/s tech on Thursday when I go in for my first sonogram. I am worries about this pregnancy only because I miscarried around the same age I am now....Will the MD's think I am crazy if I ask too many questions or think that I am further along? Please someone let me know I am not crazy or confirm it.
486038 tn?1300066967 The weird, tight feeling gets worse and worse, and eventually ends with a thing that feels rather like a sneeze of the brain - my arms curl up to my chest, my back arches, and my legs sometimes squeeze together. A simple partial seizure is also known as an 'aura' because it's a warning that a complex seizure is to come, in people that have that potential. A complex seizure involves a loss of memory, as well as loss of voluntary functions.
