I have been on viread for over 8 years and each time the virus is always negative in the blood but hbsag risen up to 12000 recently and I have been taking this viread everyday. Today my kidney is showing serious sign of weakness « creatinine-117umol/L and 13,2mg/L. CKD-EPI -67. DFG afro-américain - 78) can i stop viread now because it is damaging my kidney seriously ?

Hi All, Does any one observed efficacy differences between original and generic medicines for HepB? (for ex: between Viread/Vemilidy vs any other generic). The reason why I'm asking is due to that I have started my HepB treatment with Viread and it did magic in bringing down my HBVDNA to UND, also HBsAG quant is reduced to 4400 from 16000 and also specifically my liver histology improved a lot in ultra sound scans.

so, in my opinion the ALT increase is not do to the Viread, actualy Viread stop the increase (or it was only a coincidence). 65 in May, 73 in March -> a increase without Viread in one month 73 in march -> 93 in may -> a increase but posible not to viread (we have 2 mouth ) 93 in may -> 93 in August -> same level under Viread (2 mounth), no increase, so we can say that viread some how stop the increase.

I did used Lamivudine about seven years ago for a couple of months irregularly and then stoped as I heard at that time it can induce virus mutation. What is best approach for me now? Continue with Viread, or switch to Enticavir if combo is not a better option? I'm HBsAg positive and HBeAg positive.
