2030686 tn?1351688548 I'm on ssdi and I am receiving medicare and medicaid. I don't have any copays like some do because my only income is my ss checks. Medicare covers dr's and medicaid pays what they don't cover and meds, I think.
Avatar n tn Medicare wants me to sign up for Medicare Part D to cover Sovaldi and Ribavirin. But there are many many plans under Part D. Does anyone know which Medicare Part D plan covers these drugs? Any information is greatly appreciated. I am getting desperate. Thanks!
1742929 tn?1311164933 They are working hard to get everyone covered, so you should be able to find an answer. If medicare does not cover it under part D, Incivek can help. https://www.incivek.com/?cid=20175&gclid=CISumpn4hqoCFR5qgwodGEMg0w I think there are many people who will be in the same boat as you and would like to know the answer to this. I am 63 and intend to begin treating soon while I am still covered by insurance.
Avatar m tn Curious here, if you don't mind if i ask but what is the cost per month for medicare? And does the 200.00 also cover your part D and do you have to pay any deductables for medicare part A, B, or D or are they covered by your supplemental plan?
Avatar m tn t covered my Medicare although Medicare does cover your life time of immenos. The transplant financial person will try to get a "grant" for you to pay for $1000 per month copay. So there is all sorts of ifs ands and buts. So yes, the Medicare lady was right...the only thing she wasn't saying to you was that the sovaldi / riba is covered under your Part D which you have to purchase through a supplemental Insurer and which they can pay for you out of your Medicare check.
Avatar f tn Im 22 years old and I found out yesterday I was pregnant, what is the next step I should do? Such as doctors (no medical), food, telling family. Ect???
Avatar m tn m sure each offers some kind of medicare Advantage plan you can get on. You can call Medicare and ask what plans are available in your county. You also have to call your doctor(s) and find out what plans they take.
Avatar f tn I have a few years before I am medicare eligible but am wondering what Copaxone costs if one has Medicare. Any one know the cost?
Avatar n tn Most surgeons don't use stitches unless the surgical wound 'leaks' or if there are complications. The stitches are often removed at a latter date. Don't do anything to the second eye till you are happy with the first eye.
Avatar f tn I just had my baby. Does insurance cover bc? I have blue cross blue sheild nd and medicare. I tried calling but was on the phone foreverrr and gave up. My doc said shes pretty sure medicare does. I want the iud.
9535172 tn?1409019789 The Medicare coverage you have right now will cover you until your reapply for a new card. When I moved I had a month to reapply before my old card stopped working.
Avatar m tn I would not drop any insurance that I already had if I were you. You need to remember that Medicare does not cover all medical costs. I am on Medicare A and B and Medicare A and B cover only 80% of the costs of tests, doctors, hospitalizations, etc and it covers no prescription medical expenses. I have another insurance policy that covers the 20% of the costs that Medicare does not pay and also covers the cost of my medications.
Avatar f tn I do not qualify due to being under Medicare. They will only cover so much of the Rx, and Roche does not offer this to those who recieve Medicare or Medicaid. Thanks for the info though.
Avatar f tn Your basic package of Medicare benefits won’t shrink and in fact will expand under the law. But if you’re in a Medicare Advantage plan — a private plan that offers Medicare benefits — you might lose some extra benefits at some point. In terms of the overall Medicare program, let’s start with prescription drugs. As of late August, one million Medicare beneficiaries received a $250 check to help cover prescription drug costs in what’s known as the doughnut hole.
Avatar f tn Does anyone here have a medicare supplement plan that will approve treatment? I just found out I am losing my medicaid because of income limit. I still have medicare but I feel I should get a supplement plan becasue of the hep c. Is anybody familiar with these things? I am disabled and 60 years old but need to treat, I do have a supplement prescription plan with Humana and Wal Mart. I know they cover Solvaldi with Dr's authorization. Maybe that is all I need? I do not know.
Avatar m tn What are your Free T3 and Free T4 levels? Diarrhea is a symptom of over medication, but it can also be a reaction to fillers/binders or the dye in the pills. If you'll post your Free T3 and Free T4 levels with reference ranges, that will help us see where your levels are, so we'll be able to tell if you're over medicated. You're correct that Tirosint is a gelcap, with no fillers/binders or dyes. I was on it for 5 years and did well.
Avatar f tn I'm SO very glad that your appointment went so well for you!! CONGRATULATIONS! I REALLY helps when you like your Dr. and a BONUS when you like the PA also!! So glad that you got some meds to try and I HOPE that you will get a different med from her this afternoon that when she calls back that Medicare will cover. I FORTUNATELY haven't run into that problem with my Medicare and I HOPE that I don't.
Avatar n tn I am 70 yr old taking 120 mg Armour thyroid for years. Medicare doesn't cover it. The out-of-pocket cost is substantial/ Is there another natural over-the-counter item I can use that works. I DO NOT take any prescription medications and hope I never have to do so. Thanks so much for any comments.
Avatar f tn can a person with no papers still apply for medicare ? they already try fixing their papers but for some reason couldn't and they're pregnant ..
1460567 tn?1285780960 Does anyone out there use Copaxone and have Medicare Part D. If so what is your co-pay?? I need to chose soon and need some ideas as to which option would be best in Part D.
Avatar n tn The hospital now says the $800 was because medicare does not cover it and that is what they charge as it is the actual cost of the lens. When I asked about the $2300 lens charge on the bill they said this is what we charge when covered by insurance. When I asked for a refund they said no as they had adjusted other things in the bill that were reduced to the amount medicare would pay.
612876 tn?1355514495 I want to know if my Medicaid will seamlessly cover whatever Medicare denies, or if there is a lot of red tape and delays involved, or if things may get denied now entirely.
1816210 tn?1327354884 Count me in on not knowing how anyone manages. I'm too scared to even think about disability. It keeps me determined to work the minimum hours in each pay period. I've given up lots of other activities so I can conserve enough energy for work days. I work for health care and Rx coverage more than the actual paycheck. When I retire, be it disability or age related, my time on a DMD will end.
1996562 tn?1330337839 I've been approved for surgery at TCI but my medicare doesn't kick in until June. Does anybody know how to get medicare sooner or does anyone know who I would even talk to about that?
